While staying in our Big Canoe home, you will be surrounded by mountains. Sip a cup of coffee and enjoy a beautiful sunrise from the swing or one of the rocking chairs on the front porch. Or experience the peace and serenity of an evening in the mountains while having a cocktail on the back deck. You can't help but feel calm and relaxed in our warmly decorated mountain retreat.
The fully appointed kitchen looks out over the dining area and family room. The large dining table is perfect for meals or games and can accommodate eight people, if needed. The comfortable family room is perfect for gathering around the fireplace or watching television. Or put on some music and curl up and read a good book.
The large master suite has a king sized bed, a television, and access to the back deck. The huge master bathroom has a double vanity, shower, separate commode room and a large soaking tub under a picture window. Perfect for unwinding after a long hike or a day full of golf.
Upstairs are two large bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed, a television and a writing desk. The other bedroom has two twin beds. The bedrooms share a bathroom that has a double vanity and a tub/shower.
The lower level is where you will want to gather your family for an evening of games or movies. The couch (queen sofa sleeper), love seat and oversized chair are perfect for snuggling down and watching television or playing the Wii game system. Or play board games or cards on the large coffee table.
We are just minutes from the amenities and hiking trails of Big Canoe. But should you want to venture out of Big Canoe, you have many options. The surrounding area offers rafting/tubing outfitters, hiking and mountain biking trails, antique shopping and sight seeing. You can hike on the Appalachian trail. Or visit the nearby quaint towns of Jasper, Ellijay, Blue Ridge or Dahlonega, where you can even pan for gold! You will be a short drive to the Alpine Village of Helen, Georgia, and the original Cabbage Patch Doll Hospital. And in only 30 minutes you can be at the high-end Dawsonville Outlet Mall!
