Situated in the bucolic Interlaken area (between the lakes) of Stockbridge, this is the ideal Berkshire vacation spot. Averic Lake is just a quarter mile walk down the quiet road, passing the babbling brook across from the apartment. This lake is the water reservoir for Stockbridge. No water activities are allowed to take place there except to enjoy its beauty by artists, photographers, bikers, and, of course, sightseers. For swimming or other lake activities, including fishing, there is Stockbridge Bowl, our second lake. It is the town beach and boat launch area and is just a mile and a half away.
Tanglewood, The Berkshire Botanical Garden, Norman Rockwell Museum, Kripalu Healing Arts Center and Chesterwood are within three miles. Great for you and your visitors to enjoy , or how about time at Canyon Ranch – a few miles away? The town centers of Lenox and Stockbridge are about a five minute drive.
The newly painted and wallpapered apartment has its own private entrance and deck overlooking the garden. The apartment is fully outfitted with both antique and country furnishings. It is a warm and inviting spot filled with sunlight and tranquility.
Relax in the cheery, comfortable living room. You can sit in the cushioned window seat and enjoy your pastoral view. Select one of the many books from the bookcase or watch a DVD or favorite show on the 32" TV.
The two country style bedrooms both have two windows each. Lots of linens, loads of pillows and cozy quilts add to your comfort. The large closet is situated between the two bedrooms. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower within it.
