We both grew up in Wisconsin, and visited Sanibel during our first year of marriage in 1980. This tropical island captivated us, and we have returned every year since. We found it to be a great place to vacation as our family grew. Unsurprising to anyone familiar with our Midwest weather, we visit Sanibel in winter to inspect and update our condo (and of course to soak up some sun!). Why the Owner Chose Villa Sanibel
We purchased our unit in 2000, after 20 years of visiting Sanibel and falling in love with its unique atmosphere. We liked the idea of owning a beach condo on a tropical island that is only a few hours away by air. We appreciate Villa Sanibel's smaller, more intimate setting where the beach, swimming pool and tennis courts are all steps away. Sanibel's reliably warm weather, shell-filled beaches, protected wildlife areas, and tropical island atmosphere are what attracted us to buy a piece of paradise!
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
The number one attraction, the beach, is only ten steps from our stair landing. It takes about 60 seconds to replenish refreshments, get another book, or fetch more suntan lotion from the condo! We enjoy viewing the sunrise on the beach from our entrance porch (a good spot for morning coffee). It is easy to explore the island by hopping on the nearby bike path. Kayaking at the marina is a great way to see wildlife. There are restaurants for every taste and budget (Denis likes Doc Ford's for casual eating -- Kathy recommends the Mad Hatter for its gourmet dining). "Cool" jazz at Ellington's after being in the hot sun is a great way to end the day.
