This was a truly splendid vacation experience. We have rented through vrbo.com in several locations and have always had good experiences, but this was the best. Karine and Thierry are outstanding owners and hosts. They are thoughtful and professional and thoroughly reliable. The unit was exactly as described. The location could not have been better: you could almost lean out the giant windows and touch the castle wall. The street is nice and quiet, and everything you might want to see in Amboise is within walking distance. Karine and Thierry have thought of everything and stocked the apartment well. The unit is light and airy. The kitchen has all the items you might need. The living room has the original paneling from the 17th century and a nice sitting area. The bedrooms and baths are meticulously clean and comfortable. And the view of Amboise Chateau is incomparable. We highly recommend this apartment and we give five stars to Karine and Thierry!

The flat could not have been more nicely appointed. The bathrooms were impeccable and the bedrooms spacious and comfortable. The lovely remodeled kitchen made food preparation a breeze, and even doing laundry was pleasurable! The lovely wood paneled sitting room and dining room made for a relaxing place to end a busy day. The location could not have been better. Right across the street from Chateau Amboise not only made for a magnificent view but ideal for all our tourist needs. The flat is in the heart of Amboise, one of the most charming cities in the Loire. Even parking a car, although you really don't need one, is quite easy. I recommend Villa Concorde to anyone with out without children. It's the perfect place to settle in the Vallee de la Loire!

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay at Villa Concorde. Karine has thought of your every need with the well equipped residence. The location is perfect as it is just a short stroll to the main part of town... shops & restaurants are only moments away. Very tastefully furnished & the standard of cleanliness is excellent - the best we had in our 3 week stay in France. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Villaconcorde delivers in Amboise!

It was our great pleasure to stay in the two-bedroom apartment the first week of June, 2011. We appreciated the hospitality of Karine and Thierry and the efforts they made to ensure that our stay was comfortable. The apartment is wonderful with its spacious rooms and clean, well-appointed bathrooms. The kitchen was very well-stocked and we made good use of the refrigerator and dishwashing machine. Each day, I would walk down the street to the boulangerie and buy a baguette or croissant for breakfast. We were provided with local champagne upon arrival as well as a stocked refrigerator. Everything was clean and organized. We were able to make good use of the wireless internet and had no problems with reception if we sat at the dining table. While we did not spend too much time lounging and watching t.v., we noted that some of the network channels did not come in well but perhaps that was a temporary issue. The beds were very comfortable as well. We also made good use of the guides and brochures that you placed in the room and visited a number of chateaux in the Valley based on looking in your guest books of brochures. Parking out front was never a problem. Perhaps the best part of our stay in Amboise at Villaconcorde though was the wonderful view out the window at the Amboise Chateau tower with its gargoyles. We even picked out our favorite! Our friends could not believe that we stayed in a place with a view across the street to a chateau. It really made us feel like we were royals!

VillaConcorde - an oasis in the middle of Amboise

We are now back in Australia and missing Europe. We are planning to go back to Amboise & Karine and Thierry as soon as possible. Villa Concorde was one of the highlights of our Europe experience – the only mistake we made was to not stay longer there. Apartment 1 was a home away from home, it even included a bottle of the local wine to relax with on our arrival and a well stacked pantry. Good friends of ours had stayed in Karine and Thierry's Villa Concorde Apartments before and had highly recommended it to us. They had told us of Karine and Thierry's helpfulness and friendship – They were not wrong! Our stay was fantastic, made that way by their welcoming gifts, their knowledge of Amboise attractions, the standard of accommodation, the fantastic location, even Karine's own great artwork on the walls. Thanks so much – one of our best “stays” in France.

Delightful place to stay in amboise

Thanks to hosts we were greeted on our late arrival in spite of a family birthday party. They went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as can be. As mentioned in other reviews the neat apartment location was great to walk to town for shopping as well as sightseeing and accessing fine restaurants. When we arrived we appreciated the basics available in the kitchen for meal preparation. The wine tour was also helpful in understanding the area as to where the vineyards are located including explanations of the process of grape harvesting which was proceeding as we saw in the fields. The meal we had at the castle ,Chenonceau was awesome and we appreciated the reservation which our guide made. The access to wifi was a good thing to keep in touch with home. At times it worked very well. As we remember the many things we saw and experienced we value this location as well as the hosts who were so warm and caring.

Outstanding Apartment

We were very fortunate to be able to stay a week in Amboise in a beautiful apartment called Villa Concorde. The 17th Century building, on a quiet street at the foot of the Chateau Royal Amboise, has been recently renovated by a young couple into apartments of one, two and three bedrooms. We were able to view each size. Our intended apartment in another town was inadequate, so we had to find an alternative on very short notice. The owners by chance were finishing the renovation of one apartment, but they were very accommodating in working around so we could stay there. The apartments were tastefully furnished with the most modern appliances and very comfortable furniture. The owners are travel agents, so they know and cater to the discriminating traveler. Amboise is an ideal base location for the exploration of the beautiful Loire Valley. We highly recommend the Villa Concorde.

Thierry and Karine, thanks for sharing your Amboise apartment with us. We had a terrific stay, touring many of the chateaus in the area, shopping on market days and just wandering the streets of Amboise. The highpoint was the very informative wine tour you arranged with Laurence. Her knowledge of the wine industry made the tour most informative and ending with a tasting of wine and cheese in your private cave was unexpected and most enjoyable.

Thierry and Karine, We wanted to thank you once again for the wonderful visit to Amboise and compliment you on the spectacular apartments you have created. The apartments are much more than getaways for those of us looking for a vacation, they are a true home away from home. They are comfortable, spacious, quiet, and the views are simply amazing. Our friends and family couldn't believe the pictures we showed to them. In addition to the apartments, what made our stay even more enjoyable was your wonderful hospitality. When we arrived you had stocked the refrigerator with breakfast items, tea and coffee, and you spent the time with us to make sure we were oriented in Amboise and in the larger Loire Valley. Those personal touches were fantastic. Our family (including the kids!) will always have wonderful memories of our time in Amboise. We hope to see you again soon and will without hesitation recommend you to our family and friends.

We had a lovely time at VillaConcorde and enjoyed being the first guests in the beautifully renovated first floor apartment. The furnishings of the apartment were lovely, and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and other goodies that were left for our stay. We thought that Amboise was a lovely town and an excellent base for touring the Loire region. The location of the apartment in opposite the Chateau was just superb! My family and I had a lovely stay in the village of Amboise. The flat was wonderful and really added to our holiday experience. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The view to the chateau was spectacular and sitting at the large windows with a glass of champagne really ended the days well. Being in the heart of the village made everything easy to explore. Would definetely recommend this lovely location to everyone.

Karine and Thierry, thank you both for being such good hosts. We had a wonderful time in Amboise and the Loire valley. The apartment is ideally located in Amboise right next to the castle. I loved being able to gaze out the window, particularly at night, to look up at the huge, lighted ramparts right across the street with colorful medieval flags waving in the breeze. It felt like we were staying in a fairy tale setting. The apartment itself was just the right size for our family of two adults and three children. The bedrooms were very spacious with nice high ceilings. The bathrooms were completely up-to-date, roomy and well decorated, quite a welcome change from cramped hotel-size bathrooms. The kitchen was also great, although with all the magnificent cuisine in your region of France, we did not use it much. My nineteen year-old son and I particularly enjoyed our bike ride through the nearby villages, although given the amount of traffic in the area, I would only recommend it for experienced riders. Thanks so much for all of your help. I would highly recommend your apartment to any family looking for a comfortable, central location in the Loire valley.
