A Beautiful Piece of Heaven on the Maine Coast

If you need a piece of Heaven, then this home will do just that. The house was more than I could have ever imagined. Equisite taste and extremely highend furnishings. The pictures of the property were beautiful and true to form, but by no means reflected all the beauty of the that only a visit can show. This location provides you with all the amenties necessary to relax and live life the way it should be. Boothbay Harbor is an active community with so many things to see, do and get involved in. It definately is a community that provides everything that anyone could and would enjoy. The location is wonderful for sightseeing up and down the Maine Coastline or venturing off to outer islands. The owners were more than accomodating and made you feel like family. It definately was difficult to leave and return home to SC, but have no fear we are scheduled to return for much longer than two weeks in 2011. Highly, highly recommended. As a side note, venturing to the other smaller communities was enriching.

I have traveled to Maine every summer for last 5 years and was fortunate enough to have found this spectacular ocean front home two years ago. In the heart of lovely Boothbay Harbor, this private estate is a perfect setting for any vacation. Absolutely stunning. My family speaks of our annual return all year long. We look forward to yet another glorious summer this year.

Owner response:We are so happy to live in Boothbay Habor, the people are so friendly and helpful. It is such a beautiful place. Boothbay Harbor has great restaurants, with fresh fish such as scallops,tuna, haddock and lobster. Our home has great waterviews from the kitchen, dining room, living room and 2 bedrooms, with 3 doors going off to the deck with seating to enjoy the views or the boats and kayakers traveling thru Townsend Gut. We have a gas grill on the deck to cook outside and enjoy the sights. Next door is a boat landing to put in kayaks and boats, or we have a dock so you can tie up a boat or kayak.

This was our first visit to Maine. Wow! This property was more than we could have asked for. Clean Clean Clean. Owners were so nice and helpful. And the view just spectacular! This was a surprise for my husbands 50 birthday and wow did I do good! We loved so much we decided to rebook this property for next year!

Owner response:Boothbay Harbor is a beautiful place to visit and also the surrounding areas, such as Pemiquid, Camden. Damariscotta, or on a rainy day and close trip to Freeport shopping, these places are less than an hour away. We have great restaurants and shops. There are boats that take people for whale watches, to the outter Islands to see seals, to Monhegan Island, which people can get off the boat and walk around the Island. The botanical gardens are just beautiful and have activities for children, and also the aquarium is just down the street. This home has a beautiful view of boats sailing and powering through Townsend Gut going up the River or to the open ocean. Townsend Gut is also a great place for kayaking, the area is a no wake zone, so it is very calm, also lots of coves to go into. So many people come to Boothbay Harbor for the first time and after make it an annual visit because they love it so much. It is a great Town.

Beautiful house in Boothbay Harbor Maine on Townsend Gut

There is a swing bridge very close and you hear cars going over the steel grids which really carries over the water and it is really a 2 bedroom with a study which has a hideabed couch. The bathroom downstairs in a long way from the bedroom at the opposite end of the house. The landlord lives next door and was helpful when there was a problem. It was very clean and the kitchen, living area and master bedroom was very nice.

Perfect High End Waterfront Home

If you are looking for a home that has everything this is it!! Open, airy and inviting. Great Kitchen with all the amenities. King-size bed on the 1st floor master bedroom with sliders to the deck. Right outside Boothbay Center. Would rent again in a heart beat.
