If you enjoy spending your vacation in a private home setting with a view that is ever changing and more interesting everyday, then this is the place for you! Our vacation home sits directly on the Intracoastal waterway of Florida and the ever changing boat traffic is fascinating! Plus, our view of the drawbrige is truly great, and especially at night when the lights are twinkling is enjoyable. We also enjoy our boat dock on the canal side of the house. We are visited by manatees in the summer and dolphins all year long! Our caged pool with the constant great view will give you endless enjoyment on the sunny warm winter days!
Matlacha is a very down-to-earth environment with extra friendly residents. You will enjoy the neighbors like you do at home! Early mornings find Matlacha residents walking their dogs, jogging, biking, kayaking and lots of fishing! Seafood is always fresh, with daily shrimp boats passing by to dock in Matlacha. The barrier islands of Sanibel, Captiva and Cayo Costa are 30 minutes by boat and offer gorgeous white sand beaches for shelling and fun in the sun. Don't have your own boat? You will have the opportunity to rent kayaks, pontoons, fishing boats or take a charter boat for sightseeing and stopping at the Cayo Costa State Park beach on Cayo Costa Island.
