Duck Key is one of the most beautiful and upscale places in the Keys, and this is the best deal on the island for the price. I've checked everything. It has my main requirements: comfortable beds, a very large flat-screen tv, reliable wireless internet, and a beautiful paver patio with tiki on a blue canal. Mornings, afternoons, and evenings outside are all glorious. You won't believe the stars! When there are renters across the canal, they can provide endless entertainment, as do the boats and kayakers who go by, but often it is very quiet and peaceful. It's completely safe and neighborly, or you can choose privacy if you wish. A short, pleasant walk and you are at the marina at Hawk's Cay where there is a convenience store and restaurant. If you go the other way, you can explore the residential area. It's all very walker, biker, or segway friendly. You'll like the owners, George and Julie. They stay very accessible and flexible. It just takes a phone call. I can't go this year, but I will return, so I hope this isn't so convincing that it's all booked when I want it again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
