The remarkable place de Furstenberg, where this apartment is located, is named after the famous Prince of Furstenberg, a descendant of Madame de Beauharnais, adopted daughter of the Emperor Napoleon, and this majestic apartment certainly honors the Prince's name.
This famous little place is the heart of St-Germain des Pres left bank "chic adresse". All around, you will find many prestigious stores of design, materials, decoration and antiques. Many artists have painted this romantic place. Nearby you will find the Musée Delacroix, the studio of the famous painter, Eugene Delacroix.
The living room faces a quiet street with a side view on the charming Place de Furstenberg, and boasts 2 large French windows with double panes. The apartment also features oak wood floors, two fireplaces, and 1 bedroom with a queen size bed.
The Living room has a pull out sofa that is great for sleeping up to 2 people. It also has an American ultra-modern kitchen with top of the line appliances. There is one full bathroom with a hydro-jet shower and the most updated equipments. The classy building is quite ancient, being built in the 18th century.

A few basic tips that will make your Paris experience more enjoyable :
1. Do not think automatically that being in the first arrondissement of Paris or being as close as possible to the Louvre is your best bet. You may end up with some severe disappointments for a couple of reasons.
2. Renting a vacation rental apartment is NOT the same as booking a hotel room. There is no reception desk "downstairs" ! One of the ways to cope with this difference is to have a cellphone. You may lose your key, the building code may change, and get stuck in front of the building at night, and so many situations that I have seen where a cellphone would have avoided a minor incident to become a major inconvenience spoiling your vacation.
