A wonderful house for a relaxing vacation. The location was peaceful and quiet yet close to eveything. All six of us enjoyed the Arizona room, sunny or shady patio, and roof patio. Everyone took frequent, easy walks into the desert to see the birds and plants and animals. The kitchen had everything we needed so cooking was easy and fun. And the beds were great! I'd recommend this rental in a heartbeat!

We've been renting in the desert west of Tucson for several years, and this was our best rental experience ever. The house was just as promised-spotless, comfortably equipped, and with a casita providing excellent space separation. Best of all, the house is ideally located on a large desert property but it's just a few minutes from local stores, fifteen minutes or so from major malls, and a couple of minutes from I-10. Picture Rock is just down the road, with access to wonderful park trails. Highly recommended.

Pictures only tell part of the story of this stunning Tuscon retreat. Our family spent a delightful Christmas week in this immaculate home. Among some of the highlights of our trip include: "wine time" atop the rooftop veranda watching spectacular 360 degree Arizona sunsets; soundly sleeping in the luxurious beds; sipping coffee on the Arizona porch and star gazing from the outdoor spa. We were able to make delicious meals in the thoughtfully equipped kitchen. The kids were able to have their own space, watching movies and playing in the "office," while we enjoyed nightly visits around the fireplace. With the guest house, and the office, everyone was able to have their own space. The home is filled with gorgeous art, which makes the house unique. We loved exploring the wonders of Tuscon (Sabino Canyon, Old Tuscon Studios, the Sonoran Desert); however, the best part of the day was coming back to this fabulous house set among acres of incredible desert landscape. We also appreciated the warm welcome from the host, Joy who made herself available for any questions throughout our week. And we especially appreciate the way in which the owners prepared the house. We have told our friends so that they may enjoy it, too! We are still talking about our trip, and want to stay at Casa Encantada again, soon.

For a birthday celebration there is nothing better than a beautiful home under the desert stars with all the amenities! Our group of four adults thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit, commencing with the hosts' incredibly accommodating character, through to each recommendation for an event or outing which all proved perfect. Whether enjoying a cool drink mid day on the shaded patio, or coffee on the rooftop under the stars, this well appointed and deliciously decorated vacation home gave us a serene desert outpost to enjoy, with all the luxuries and a stone's throw (well, 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk) to everything you need. Kitt Peak Observatory is a worthwhile stop as well as The Grill at Hacienda del Sol, for dinner. The Desert Museum and hummingbird sanctuary took our breath away. We will definitely be back! There is much else to see and do and this is the perfect location to start.

We saw a beautiful coyote as we drove up the driveway to this amazing home tucked away among the saguaro and prickly pear. As the pictures on the site show, the house is elegant yet whimsical and also warm and welcoming (the bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival was a very nice touch). The furniture was comfortable and the space well laid out. The owners were responsive to our smallest requests. We felt isolated but not scared and every amenity we could want was a five minute drive down the road. This was a special vacation for us, spent in a place that we would highly recommend to friends and family.

A very comfortable, peaceful place to spend a vacation. The entire adobe home has a warm atmosphere, is filled with amazing art and well structured so that even with our group of 6, individuals could either commune or find a quiet nook. We used the hot tub each night (may have disturbed the coyotes with our singing), enjoyed listening to the wildlife, slept well in the comfy beds, and the kitchen was well outfitted for any kind of cooking. Shopping was nearby and the home had easy access to Tucson attractions. The owners were very helpful and we enjoyed the wine they left for us. They and we both recommend the Ocotillo Cafe at the Desert Museum which has excellent cuisine and ambiance. We would highly recommend this lovely abode.

A gem of a house set in the Arizona desert yet only five minutes to the freeway and access to all of Tucson. Situated among an exquisite cactus garden the house is beautifully appointed with something to look at every nook and cranny with all the comforts of home. We so enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub and sipping our morning coffee on the screened in porch. We hope to be able to return next spring.

We enjoyed the desert at Casa Encantada. The lovely outside living spaces provided sun and shade at different times of the day. The privacy was wonderful. The guest cottage allowed two couples to have private space, while sharing the house for dinners, music, and fun. The beds are excellent, and the decorating is quite eclectic. Quiet setting, but easy to access stores, freeway, and river walking paths. We would definitely stay here again.

Comment Text: FROM THE TIME THAT YOU ENTER THE GRAVEL DRIVEWAY WINDING TO THE HOUSE WITH THE BACKDROP OF MOUNTAINS YOU REALIZE YOU ARE ON VACATION. I TRULY ENJOYED COMING BACK TO THE HOUSE AFTER A DAY OUTING. EVERYDAY IN THE HOUSE I NOTICED SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THE DEN WAS MY FAVORITE ROOM IN THE EVENING TO READ A BOOK ON THE DAYBED & WATCH A MOVIE. & TAKE CARE OF EMAILS. THE INTERIOR COLORS OF THE HOUSE WERE WHIMSICAL WITHOUT BE BLINDING. SITTING IN THE HOTTUB EVERYDAY IN THE CACTUS GARDEN WAS AWESOME. THE HOUSE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE & SPACIOUS. IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN AN EXTENSION OF YOUR HOME.
