Welcome to the ultimate in mountain getaways! This gorgeous home is conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock, NC on Appalachian Ski Mountain about 2 miles from downtown Blowing Rock. The house has easy access to the ski slopes as well as outlet shopping, downtown dining, and great sightseeing along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
This house is built for fun. The main living area features an open living area--living and dining room--accentuated by a stone-stacked log fireplace separating the two rooms. The deep leather couches in the living room, and the oversize dining table in the dining room, all offer panoramic views of the rolling mountains outside. There is a 47" wall mounted LG television, or if you prefer to lounge in front of the fire there is a comfy seating area.
The house has a mountain feel with tongue and groove ceilings, white oak hardwood flooring, birch cabinets and solid pine doors. But it has been built with every modern efficiency, including granite countertops, an excellent selection of fine dinnerware, a wine bar, and even your own satellite cable TV in the kitchen.
Outside there is a partially covered deck for the sun-shy, or there is seating for six under the stars with a breathtaking view of the mountains. One master suite is also on the upper level, offering a view of the star-lit sky from the King bed.
Below there are four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an awesome recreation room housing a pool table, 47" cable TV, and game system. Step out the back door to a brand new 8-person hot tub. All of the downstairs bedrooms have private cable televisions and the master suite below features an oversized tile shower.
This house, called "As Good As It Gets", is located in a private neighborhood on paved roads.
The house overlooks the slopes of Appalachian Ski Mountain as well as the long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a great location for one or two families who want to rest well, wake up refreshed, enjoy the beauty of the seasons and do it all in luxurious comfort!
