The Maple Grove Guesthouse is situated on a 27-acre country estate called Maple Grove Farm. Set on a beautiful old road, it was once the caretakers cottage for the 170 year old farm. It has now been lovingly restored and retains mid-century decor and charm. There is an abundance of wildlife songbirds (you name it we got it), squirrels, (red, brown, black gray), chipmunks, rabbits, woodchucks, raccoons, skunks, deer and fox. There are lots of wild berries in season and a u-pick orchard called Crane's just a couple of miles away. It's a pretty peaceful place.
You will love the proximity to Saugatuck/Douglas, Lake Michigan beaches, wonderful shopping, antique stores and a relaxed, unhurried way of life. Maple Grove is across the street from a vintage schoolhouse/turned studio/gallery. A half mile from an award winning winery. On one end the road ends into a lovely inland lake and at the other end an antique store. If you want Quaint - You found it.
Hike, sketch, shop, dine, swim, sail, sunbathe, picnic, site see, RELAX!

I'm Laura Palazzolo, owner and manger of "The Maple Grove Guesthouse". I love interior design, art, good food, animals and wildlife, gardening, antiquing and my family. We live on the property and are able to offer answers to questions and any assistance needed.
Why the Owner Chose Fennville
We bought our property because of it's uniqueness in being a very old fruit farm of an area founder, the open land around it, the closeness to Lake Michigan and Saugatuck.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our estate includes an 1840 farmhouse, vintage gambrel roof barn, carriage house, CARETAKER'S COTTAGE, 27 acres, other assorted outbuildings and some old outhouses. Next to a civil war era cemetery and across from an old schoolhouse/artist studio/gallery. If you love history, old farms, beautiful countryside, waking up to singing birds, an artsy community, gardens, plenty of space and peace - then you will be happy here. It's a perfect getaway from city or suburban life.
