Why the Owner Chose North Shore
People familiar with Sandestin repeatedly said that this unit was the nicest they'd stayed in - these were visitors who'd come here 20 or more years. We dismissed the comments the first few times; after the fourth comment, we began to take them seriously. We didn't realize we had such a gem! The resort's beauty is widely known; the peace at North Shore is rarely found. I don't think we'll ever tire of the water view...
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
You just can't get much closer to the water! In the 2nd picture with table and chairs, that's the bay where the grass ends! Very spacious, calming decor matches the peacefulness outside.
We have beach chairs and an umbrella available for our guests, as well as water toys and horse shoes. Tennis on clay and hard court, 72 holes of incredible golf, great lessons from pros, kayaking (with the dolphins) on the bay or gulf, fishing & crabbing right out your door, #1 beaches in the continental US (per US Travel & Leisure).
The high vaulted ceilings give the main room an expansive feel. With the enclosed lanai, there is plenty of space to spread out so you and your family or friends can relax and experience a vacation as you should; no worries, lots of entertainment, and relaxing waters to gaze on at the end of the day. Hang out by the fire, grab a drink and some cards or dominoes, or peruse the book drawer: it's always stocked with a variety of good books. See how many satellites or meteors you can count from your private balcony. With no major city lights to bog up the sky, every visible star is waiting to twinkle at you and your loved ones. On calm nights, you'll see them reflected in the bay's waters.
children's nights, ring a bell as the boats go by in the harbor, outdoor tables
Owner's Map of North Shore
Chris' dream was always to be able to put a kayak in the water before breakfast or at sunset and just chill.
We love to make people comfortable and happy. We are right next door if you need anything. Since I love to bake, you may find home-made goodies on your kitchen counter or by your front door when you awake! Joe is from Michigan, I am from Pittsburgh originally, and that's our son Bryan just out of Coast Guard Boot Camp. He's a Petty Officer in NY. We left Chicago winters behind to live in this dreamy resort and wish to share it with as many others as we can. The soul needs beauty to restore itself from time to time.

The only negative thing I can say about our time spent at this rental property is that it had to come to an end. This was, by far, the nicest place we've ever stayed on Sandestin's property. The unit was immaculate and had all the modern conveniences that one could ask for. We started our days with coffee on the balcony and absolutely LOVED having family meals around the table with the beautiful bay as a backdrop. The kitchen was stocked with tons of great Pampered Chef pots, pans and cooking utensils. Ms. Chris greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the unit as well as helpful information about the activities around Sandestin. She made us feel very welcomed and even left fresh baked pumpkin muffins on our doorstep. I would absolutely recommend this property to everyone I know. My family and I have found the perfect vacation rental at Sandestin and wouldn't dream of staying anyplace else. We can't wait for our next visit!

Me and my family really enjoyed staying in this beautiful townhome. The owners made us feel so welcome, very friendly if we needed anything they were right there. The location is so perfect on the lake,,,,Baytown had everything from music ,games, rides, shops, and dancing; my kids soo loved it. Trust me when i say this if you need a break from the stress of life this is the perfect place to unwind, relax and spend quality time with your family. My little girl still talks about how much she loves it ....Thank You for allowing us to spend some time in Paradise!!!
Owner response:You are so very welcome! You have such a nice family and Sandestin is ALL about family. We love how pedestrian and bike-friendly everyone is. Our Chicago buddies would fall over backwards if they saw how everyone stops their cars here for anyone crossing the street (including the ducks) on foot or bike. We don't know if you had a chance to walk out into the bay and see for yourself how shallow it is for at least 1/4 mile out, but if not, we hope you'll come back again and see for yourself. Hope you got to see some dolphins! We know you saw plenty of mullet jumpin'! Schedule another break for yourselves when you feel that stress creeping up your shoulders and across your brow! We've got the cure!

Always a pleasure staying in this unit. Short walk to Bayside Conference Center, pool and Cafe. Unit was immaculate, just like previous stay last year. Hat's off to assistant Connie who greeted us with big smile and to the owners Joe and Chris make you feel so welcomed. Kitchen fully stocked or use the charcoal grill. Have coffee in the morning on the deck and watch the mullet jump in the bay. We'll be back!!
Owner response:Thanks! It's always a pleasure to see you and share this beautiful piece of paradise with you!

What a Beautiful and Spacious Townhome! We spent 10 nights while in town for 2 weddings and could not have asked for more comfortable and beautiful surroundings. Having the Bay for your view is very calming. My husband fished a few steps from our back door. The Pool and Spa and Another Broken Egg Restaurant is steps away. Chris and Joe (Owners) live next door and they were wonderful. They have a way of giving you privacy while being available for anything you might need. They even sent us off with a farewell and fresh muffins. Baytowne is always a fun place to dine, shop.bike, golf and enjoy the nightlife. We look forward another visit.
Owner response:Thank you for your kind words and the special gift you left us as well. I do love to bake and those fresh blueberry muffins were a happy, healthy start for your trip home: besides the blueberrries, they had flax seed, wheat and were sugar free! Life is good here and we can't wait for you to come back and visit again. This bay smooths the stress wrinkles out of everyone! Y'all come back now, hear?

Try as they might, the owners could never accurately describe their property online to it's fullest potential! The condo was more beautiful than the pictures provided! The property was spacious, spotless and beyond accommodating. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could imagine making a quiet dinner overlooking the bay more enjoyable than any hotel could provide. Chris and Joe were very kind and accommodating making our trip even more pleasurable! They provided some great ideas for local restaurants, bars and attractions making our trip that much more enjoyable. We'd be more than happy to stay here again considering how pleasant everything was - from the owners to the property itself! Thank you again, we had an absolutely wonderful time thanks to your graciousness!
Owner response:One of our great pleasures living next door is meeting such wonderful people like you two. How very kind you were to share from the bounty of the snapper you caught! Do come back again to catch some more so we can break bread, grill fish and pour libations. The fishing pole stands ready and waiting!

What a lovely vacation rental! Enjoy the serene Choctawhatchee Bay- morning, noon and night. Follow the short path to the beautiful pool and enjoy the picturesque view of the bay as the backdrop. Or you may wish to take a short drive over to Miramar Beach and bask in the sunshine. There are many appealing restaurants nearby. Chris and Joe are well informed about the area and are willing to be a resource. Several fine shopping areas are within a few miles of this area. All this can be savored at this well equipped townhouse.
Owner response:Thank you, Kathy. It was so lovely to meet you both. Joe and I are always so happy when others get to share the little piece of heaven we have here! Come back soon!

We visited North Shore Sandestin for Spring Break. We had everything we needed and then some at this beautiful condo. This was our fourth visit to the Sandestin Resort but by far the most wonderful accomodations! We hope to incoporate many of the architectural features when we build our next home - wish we could bring the view home too. Joe was great and I hope we get to meet Chris on our next trip to Florida.

Dear Chris and Joe, Just a little note to say what a fantastic time we had during our first visit to the Destin area of Florida. We will certainly be back. As I'd mentioned, we've traveled quite a bit on our annual scuba diving forays and without question, your place is the nicest we've ever stayed. It is decorated beautifully, full of top notch appointmens and so spacious that it feels like home - and then some. Your kindness and hospitality during our stay was such a nice touch. It was hard to leave and we've come back tanned, relaxed and stress free. I even managed to read TWO 400+ page novels while I was there - a first for me (LOL) The location on the water is superb, the Sandestin community is gorgeous and conveniently located to the beaches on the gulf side. Your bayside location is calm, quiet and very scenic - a great place to unwind after coming back from the beach. The nearby pool was great to just hang out at and the golf courses all around us are some of the prettiest I've ever seen. Going to dust off my clubs for the next visit. So thanks once again for a memorable trip - the first of others to come. Marcus and Mary Dallas, Texas
