I can't say enough good things about our stay. We were in the house for three weeks in May 2011, as my son completed his last semester prior to our moving to the East coast. The house is spotless and very well stocked for family living. Great views from Fitch Mountain, with spectacular sunsets. Darnell, an owner and property manager, was very helpful and available. We really appreciated the hospitality we received. Thank you Darnell.
Owner response:It helps to have awesome and easygoing guests. The house certainly does have great views. Please come back to Healdsburg again soon!

I was in Healdsburg for a wedding at the Villa Chaticleer, and this house turned out to be the perfect find right next to the Villa. There's plenty of room for two couples and the two floors give you just enough privacy. The view is spectacular and the radiant floors are a nice touch. Instead of going out in the square, we ended up staying in and eating dinner out on the beautiful deck. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and we took advantage of the BBQ in the back. Only caveat, if you're in fragile health, the stairs up to the house may be an issue. For the average person, it's no problem at all...especially if you're from San Francisco! Thanks!
Owner response:Deciding to stay at the house for dinner seems to be a common theme...it's a place you don't really want or need to leave once you're there.

This house was absolutely perfect. The living spaces inside were all nice, but we found that the outdoor spaces were the coup de gras! Boardgames and wine, a nice breakfast and coffee, we pretty much lived out there. Also, volunteer to sleep in the bed out there. It was awesome. The following were fine for us, but are here for others information. There are a LOT of steps. If you have trouble with depth perception or anything like that, be careful. Additionally, you will definitely need a car. To get the amazing views and beauty, you have to be on a hill...Be prepared :-)
Owner response:You're right about the stairs--great for the heart and leg muscles. It's well worth it once you are inside. There are exactly 52 stairs to the front door, with a straightaway in the middle for catching your breath. The walk back down the stairs is no problem.

My friend and I stayed here with our four children back in Spring 2009. I truly felt like I was in a tree house. The views were spectacular and unlike any other I've experienced before. I truly felt like I was in the rainforest canopy. As I looked out the windows I could see the forested hills in the immediate vicinity...then the rolling vineyard hills in the far distance. I loved being so close to the quaint town of Healdsberg...just a short run to the town square. I especially loved being a car ride away to the many wineries in the area! The bottom floor bed was luxurious and I am still thinking about it! I don't think the owners wanted to cut any corners on comfort. I would recommend this hideout to those looking for a getaway with options for leisure and activity!!!
