My husband Bob and I are both artists who live and work here and enjoy the beauty and serenity of natural unspoiled Ocracoke Island living. We have the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the sound on the other with nature all around.
Why the Owner Chose Ocracoke
We saw the wonderful property for sale that reminds one of an earlier time on Ocracoke Island...The cottage needed some TLC, which we knew we could handle and we knew the location was the thing...on a canal with expansive salt marsh surrounding it full of wildlife, great view of the Pamlico Sound with fantastic sunsets and lots of privacy...even a small building for our studio right on the water. Love at first sight!

Nature is literally in your back yard here. The comfortable sun drenched cottage is located at the end of a road surrounded by the salt marsh brimming with all things that fly, swim and crawl. There is a private beach area good to launch a kayak adjacent to the dock that's great place to have a meal, watch the sunset and keep your boat for easy access to all the water that surrounds you. The cottage is comfortable well appointed, lots of space, great open floor plan that lends itself to large gatherings of friend and family or cozy little nooks here and there to enjoy privacy. You don't have to leave the property to entertain yourself....It's all right there!
