The Tiger Cat Chalet is that perfect combination of a newer, high end home on a beautiful Wilderness lake that gives you great privacy on the water but yet is super convenient to all that Hayward has to offer. The Tiger Cat Flowage is 1400 acres, a diverse fishery with walleye, muskie, bass and pan fish. It has many lakes and private bays and are all connected so you can explore all the waters as you meander through the 1400 acres. This cabin is located on Placid Lake but you have access to Burns, Tiger Cat, McClaine, Upper & Lower Twin Lakes. Whether you have a pontoon, fishing boat, ski boat, canoe or kayak, all can be used to navigate these waters as you enjoy the natural beauty of the land and wildlife. This cabin has a pontoon boat on site for rental. All this and only 15 minutes from Hayward!
The home has been a labor of love for the owners and it is evident in the craftsmanship and added comforts. The bathrooms have rich tile floors, granite counter tops and high end tiled showers with multi-outlet shower systems. There is a very large enclosed master suite with bath in the upper level and attached to an open loft area that has a futon. The main level is an open space with kitchen and island, dining area and a family room with a gas fireplace. The gas fireplace is a central feature as the open flue rises to the ceiling, what a great way to end the day as you gather around the warmth of the fireplace if the evening is cool. There are 2 bedrooms on the main level and a full bath. It all opens up to large chalet windows, great lake views and a huge wrap around deck overlooking one of the many lakes on this body of water, Placid Lake. There is an attached 4 season porch as well that is connected to the deck. The lower level is partially unfinished but it is a walkout with many windows, it has a sofa/sleeper and single bed, a third finished bath and full-size washer dryer. The lower level stays nice and cool even without the central A/C.
On those hot summer days, enjoy the central A/C and the extremely well-insulated home. The home can sleep up to 10 guests. There is a futon in the open loft and a very large love pillow to watch TV or your favorite movie. The main floor is an open floor plan with a large kitchen island great for entertaining. All the appliances are new and it has a dishwasher! There is a very large yard, fire pit, private dock and it comes with a canoe. You have local phone service and free DSL internet!

- This lake and setting will feel very private but yet you are only 15 minutes to Hayward, which has great shopping, weekend festivals, go-karts, mini-golf, etc. You are also 10 minutes from the LCO Casino which has entertainment as well. You are also very close to Round Lake in case you wish to drop your boat in that lake for a day. Round Lake is home to Famous Daves restaurant.

A $250 security deposit reserves this lake home
All rates are based on 6 guests, add $100 per person per wk above 6
Pontoon rental on site for 700 per week plus tax
This cabin rents from Sunday to Sunday in the summer

We spent a lovely week here June 2010, saw lot's of wildlife and enjoyed fishing, relaxing with our family and the quiet surroundings. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. The cabin is recently built, was very clean, looked just like the photos and had all of the kitchen equipment necessary for those who like to cook. We are planning on returning this year. We would definitely recommend this vacation home.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway.
