We stayed here the third week of September, 2012. Elaine could not have been more helpful or nice! She was only a phone call or email away. Our whole family was able to come and enjoy the beautiful house, scenery of the nearby mountains, golf course, town, pond, etc... The house was extremely clean. More clean than most hotels. It is also really helpful to have laundry machines in the house too while you are there. The bathtubs-oh beautiful! It is very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub too while seeing the moon and stars. Everyone did NOT want to leave and remarked that this was the best vacation ever. The big dining room table led to lots of card and other games, and lots of good times and togetherness. Thank you Elaine, we are ever so grateful and will always cherish the great memories we made while at your place!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Stayed in this property for memorial day weekend - This place is fantastic!!! Everything is top notch - from the Jacuzzi to the sound system. The owner is friendly and very helpful. The view are spectacular and will blow your breath away!! I can't wait to come again!!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This home is so beautiful with everything you can imagine. The kitchen is unbelievably set up with top of the line appliances and accessories. Wonderful furnishings abound and the views cannot be any more enchanting. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely home.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Best place I have ever stayed and the most reasonable. The hot tub, the 7 plasma TVs, the baby grand piano, the view....I could go on and on. If you have never been to Stowe, my home is at the very top of the mountain with the best views and amenities. As a Founder, you get to use the Olympic pool, spa, fitness center, solarium, lockers with robes and slippers, sauna, steam room, and hot tubs for only $10 for adults and FREE for children. The regular rate is $40 per person.
I would e-mail you a contract signed, which you would return with two checks, the first for the rental and the second, a check for security for $750 that is returned to you once the house has been cleaned after your departure, and found to be in good order.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
There is a 10% tax and a $250 departure cleaning fee.
The regular rate for this home and all mountain cabin homes is $1,500 per night and $2,300 a night for holidays and foliage dates. This is an excellent special.
All May dates are $400 per night through May 27th, 2013
During this SPECIAL, Fall Foliage rates are $700 per night.

About the owner: I am a playwright, who recently wrote and directed a musical about bullying. It is endorsed by politicians, Prevent Child Abuse Vermont, the national organization, Partnership with Children, and The National Foundation For Missing And Exploited Children. The show was a huge success at The Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center. The goal is to find a Proucer to make an animated film, with celebrity voices, and offer the musical play to schools and community theatres. A portion of all profits from the 501©(3) corporation will be contributed to child abuse prevention and anti-bullying programs. I first came to Stowe in the mid 1980's and knew immediately that some day I would live here. It only took me 25 years. After my first visit, I went to Motor Vehicles and changed my license plate to read '2 STOWE'. When I became a Vermont resident, I was lucky to trade in the CT plate for a VT plate that also said '2 STOWE'. Whether it is summer, fall, winter, or spring, it is always breathtaking, waking up to the magnificent mountains, always dressed for the season.
Why the Owner Chose Stowe:
I have been coming to Stowe, Vermont for vacation since the mid 1980's. I owned another home here for ten years but when Spruce Peak began development with a hotel, live theatre, ski in/ski out, championship golf course, excellent restaurants and shops, and a private club for members, it was impossible to ignore.
