A/C! Wonderful Home, Very Close to the Beach! Game Room, Wifi
- Minimum stay:2-7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Our beautiful, large five bedroom home sleeps 12 comfortably! Plenty of room for everyone to eat, sleep, play, etc, even on the occasional rainy day.
Only a 5 minute walk or 2 minute bike ride to the Acapesket Association Beach (private beach!), which overlooks Martha's Vineyard. As the photos show, the beach has a volleyball court, jetty for fishing and crabbing, great shelling and rock collecting and beautiful sand dunes. The front of the beach is on the ocean facing Martha’s Vineyard. The back of the beach is on Green Pond and is perfect for younger children with warm, shallow water and lots of little ocean creatures to keep them occupied. Note that the beach limits the total # of people from this house to TEN, as that is the official occupancy. But also note that there are lots of town beaches mere minutes away if you want to check them out!
The house has hardwood floors throughout (tile in the kitchen and bathrooms). We re-did all the hardwood in 2009, and all the tile is new in 2009.
42' Flat panel HDTV in the very large living room, plus 4 other TVs! WiFi throughout the house. The living room has plenty of couch space to fit everyone staying at the house.
The game room in the finished basement gives added space, too. Several couches, cable TV, and a 6' (slightly smaller than usual) pool table. New carpet and repainted in 2011.
A/C units in all five bedrooms really take the edge off on those hot summer nights! The exact bed configurations is:
BR 1 (first floor) Queen
BR 2 (first floor) 2 twins
BR 3 (second floor) King & pull out couch
BR 4 (second floor) Queen and 1 twin
BR 5 (second floor) Full and 1 twin
The sun room is perfect for eating, sitting, reading, relaxing! This room is a big hit with our guests.
The large kitchen has a large dining table, with several leafs for expansion to sit everyone!
The kitchen is in great shape. Electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, and a side-by-side refrigerator.
Nice gas grill (new in 2010) in the back yard, we also keep an extra propane tank full on site, so you don't have any 'out of gas' emergencies in the middle of cooking up the fish you just caught.
The shed in the yard makes great storage for your bikes, should you bring them. And new in 2010 we put an enclosed outdoor shower off the shed. It even has a light if you want to shower at night.
We truly believe we have provided for EVERY need you might have! This is the absolute perfect vacation home. We sincerely hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!
While we do not provide linens or towels, we do have a solution if you don't want to bring yours. We recommend SleepTight Falmouth - you can pick up your linens right when you pick up your rental keys! Call 508 548 5412 for info on renting linens and/or towels.
Please note that while we allow up to 12 to stay in our home, the Acapesket Association Beach limits the number of people using the beach from this house to a strict 10 people (2 per bedroom). However, the town beaches do not restrict the # of people. Call me if you want me to clarify this. Thanks.

We had a wonderful time at this house. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable and was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Located within walking distance to the beach, and only a $10 cab ride to downtown Falmouth, made this location great for everything! I had a chance to deal with the owner personally, and he was very friendly and accomodating. We would absolutely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The house was perfect for our group of 12. The place is exactly as depicted in the photos, very well-maintained, and also well stocked, with plenty of dishes and glasses to go around. :) The seating and sleeping space was also just right for our group. Most of all, the owner was really nice and extremely helpful. We contacted him pretty close to our arrival date, but he helped us wrap everything up quickly, and answered all of our questions very patiently. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was a wonderful home to stay. It has all amenities that are needed and it is a very close walk to a relatively quiet and private beach!! The house can sleep a great deal of people and is perfect for a get-away with many. All of the rooms have AC units which work well and the kitchen is well suited for cooking (with dishwasher). The home was clean when we arrived. We highly recommend this house!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great time during our stay in Falmouth. Dennis, from Donahue Real Estate was a pleasure to work with. The house was very large and was excellent for our family. The backyard is private. The location is nice because you can easily bike to the beach or even into town. We will definitely come back again soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This house is a great house to rent with either extended family or friends! Clean, well maintained and lots of room both indoors and out. 2 minute walk to the private beach and 10 min to one of the several Falmouth public beaches. Great location for all the fun activities the Cape has to offer; biking, sea kayaking, jogging and day trips to the Cape Islands and National Seashore to name a few.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My extended family and I spent ten days in this home. We arrived from all over the country for my fathers birthday and found the home inviting, warm and easy to find. We had two kids and ten adults and there was enough space, kitchen facilities and yard to keep everyone entertained and when necessary, out of each others way. The spacious home accommodated all especially two especially energetic children. We look forward to our next visit to the Cape and will certainly look to return to our "Falmouth" home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: Dennis bought this house with a friend in 2009. He enjoys traveling, boating, playing basketball and lacrosse, long distance biking, competing in triathlons & spending time with his family and friends. Dennis is Vice-Chair of the Falmouth Zoning Board of Appeals, and on the Board of JazzFest Falmouth, a regional Jazz Festival in Falmouth. He is a board member of Arts Falmouth, and also serves on the Government Affairs Committee of both the Cape Cod & Islands Board of Realtors, and the State Board of Realtors. A 1992 graduate of Harvard University, Dennis owns 5 vacation rentals in Falmouth, and manages about 300 more through his company Donahue Real Estate on Main St in Falmouth.
Why the Owner Chose East Falmouth:
We simply love this location. The Acapesket Beach Association's beach is only a 5 minute walk away. It is a great beach! It overlooks Martha's Vineyard.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The sun porch is so wonderful... take breakfast out there (or any meal!). The backyard is nice and spacious. And all 5 bedrooms are very good sized - one is so large we have set 1/2 of it up as a living area with a futon couch! The finished basement allows the kids (of all ages) to enjoy their evenings in the game room, or watch a different movie or TV show than the people upstairs. In all, we believe we have thought of everything you will need to have a wonderful week on Cape Cod!
