This home has been recently renovated and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, quiet and the calm, tranquil, safe atmosphere of this beach and boating community. Our place offers guests lots of space and privacy. The yard is huge, private (fence), nicely landscaped, and boasts two paved patios in a large fenced yard. The outdoor sofa, rocker and lounge chair will fool you into thinking you're in a living room! Coffee out back (or on the Adirondack chairs in out front) is an amazing way to start the day!
Within a few blocks from our home there are two quiet parks where you can play in the sand or fish from the shore or you can bike, ride or walk down to BEAUTIFUL CASEY KEY OR NOKOMIS BEACH - less than one mile away (bikes, beach chairs and a cooler are provided).
On your way to the beach you might stop for homemade ice cream or a bite to eat at Pelican Alley or Pop's - both on the water! Water sport rentals, a general store and.....did I mention the great homemade ice cream store........are all within minutes from the home.
Eclectic, historical downtown Venice is just a few miles away. Here you'll find great restaurants, adorable little shops, zillions of antiques and the Venice Theatre (one of the oldest and best community theatres in the country).
Head north and within twenty minutes you'll be at Siesta Key Beach (incredible sand and sea); a little further you'll be in downtown Sarasota or St. Armand's Circle - great shopping, restaurants, theatre, museums, opera, ballet - you name it, it's here.
Okay... back to the house! It's been recently redone, has comfortable, modern furniture, DVD player with surround sound, TV and stereo in the living room. New dining room table seats six and, with the leaves pulled out, nicely accommodates eight. The sunroom is a great place for sitting, chatting, reading or just enjoying the beauty of the outside. Kitchen is fun, bright has new appliances and is equipped for any kind of meal you'd like to prepare - from casual to formal and everything in between.
The bedroom/bathroom situation is ideal for folks seeking privacy. Each bedroom suite has its' own bath, (one with tub and shower one with shower only), is nicely decorated, and is separated from the other bedroom suite by the common areas of the house. Both bedrooms have large closets and bureaus - lots of room for all your things.
The home is bright and fresh throughout! On Wednesday and Saturday night neighbors and tourist alike gather at the beach for the drumming circle. Dancers, musicians, belly dancers perform. Everyone - tourists, locals and performers enjoy the sunset together. Some folks bring fancy hor-d-ouvres and fine wines while others prefer to grab a sandwich and head on down......
It is a beautiful way to end your perfect day here in Paradise! Oh.....and for those of you who like to keep in touch with friends the home has a nice desk/workspace in the sunroom and offers Wi-Fi access!
