Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, the water lapping at your door, the wind through the grass and trees, the salt air, the sand underneath your feet--allow your mind to wander. The open floor plan with panoramic views allows an easy comfort, watch porpoises while you dine, relax on the deck with friends, then retire to a spacious bedroom for a sound night sleep.
Plan a day trip by ferry to Ocracoke, Hatteras, Nags Head and Kill Devil Hill, then take the late ferry back to a relaxing end to your day. Or you might choose a trip to the Beaufort Water Front. Be sure to see "Blackbeards" Queen Anne's Revenge relics at the Maritime Museum. Then dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants and home to catch the sunset.
Deep water access is available at the Wildlife Ramp for a day or night of fishing for Trout, Flounder and Drum. There are local guides available for your fishing experience.
You might enjoy a tour of the island by horseback. Stables available by the ferry.

Pattie and Colbert Palmer-We have a long and happy relationship with Cedar Island.
Our first trip down was in 1979 and we fell in love with the island and its people. Colbert and I owned our first home on Cedar in 1984 on Lola Rd.and then in 1997 purchased the lots on Cedar Island Beach. We started construction on our"round house" in 1998 and moved in June 1999. We wanted to capture the beautiful views of Pamlico Sound and North Bay, to have a eco-friendly home as well as one that would withstand the storms of this area. Thus the "round house" by Deltec.
Our daughter and son have enjoyed growing up here and now our grandson loves Cedar Island.
We feel very lucky to enjoy our home in the NC mountains, but we love our home at the coast.
We hope your experience at Cedar Island and in our home will be as happy and enduring as ours has and that you will return year after year.
