YELLOWSTONE CABIN RENTAL ON PRIVATE ACREAGE FIVE MILES FROM THE PARK'S NORTH GATE AND BEST WILDLIFE WATCHING AND CUTTHROAT TROUT FISHING!

Charming cabin built in 2009 with two bedrooms that sleeps 5-8 located just five minutes from Yellowstone Park's North Entrance on 26 acres of private property. Perfect for travelers who want easy access to the famous Northern Range and Lamar Valley with its bison, elk, deer, wolves, bears, AND fishing for world-famous Yellowstone cutthroat trout!

This beautiful cabin is unlike all other vacation rental properties in the area. Lying in an extremely private location just above Highway 89 north of Gardiner, Montana, and the Roosevelt Arch, the cabin is easily accessed by a well-maintained, short, 300 yard-long Private Drive.

This setting provides you with total solitude and isolation from any hustle and bustle of the busy roadways leading to/from the park. However, at the same time, when needed, you are just minutes away from restaurants, the market, and shops in Gardiner or a bit further away in Livingston and Bozeman.

Built on a log frame, this cabin has all modern amenities yet has a great amount of rustic appeal including beautiful hardwood floors. It has enormous windows giving you unmatched views of Yellowstone's Electric Peak, Devil's Slide, Dome Mountain, and many other spectacular geological features. Wildlife abound here and deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, or bison are seen on the meadows and mountain slopes near the cabin. Often during the spring and fall, they are standing right in the cabin's yard. No-where else in the northern Rockies will you find wildlife this abundant and close in a natural setting.

Horses graze nearby, and the Yellowstone River, home to world-class trout fishing, leaves the park and passes just a few hundred yards below you. There are many access sites to the Yellowstone River very near to the cabin, one within easy walking distance (that is a very great fishing spot...just ask our boys!).

Being near Gardiner, our cabin is at the home of the Yellowstone Association, a long-standing educational institute offering numerous courses in the park. The Electric Peak Cabin is a perfect place to stay when visiting and attending these courses.

Great Gateway into Yellowstone

We were only able to stay for a short time, but the location for winter access to the Park is great. We saw more wildlife between Gardiner and Cooke City then we did spending four days at the Old Faithful Lodge, but that was great too! Winter is a wonderful time to visit Yellowstone and the Gardiner area allows you the freedom to travel into the park, on your own ,without a guided tour. The cabin is well-built, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The family is very responsive during the booking process so don't hesitate to rent this cabin.

North Yellowstone at Electric Peak

Date of Stay: 10/06/11 Review Submitted: 11/08/11

Electric Peak Cabin is a well equipped cabin within short driving distance of North Yellowstone Park Entrance. Full size frig and stove and dishwasher in kitchen, along with microwave. Beautiful views.. Bring binoculars and spotting scope for wildlife and clear night skies... Purchase groceries before leaving Bozeman or at supermarket near North Park Entrance... Nice porch in front with sitting chairs... Convenient to use for day trips into the Park... Cabin is new construction, owners reside to rear of cabin, some distance back, so there is still element of privacy... Television is more in the category of a computer monitor, but hopefully you did not come here to watch tv... Room for an RV to pull onto the site and a fire pit with room to spare... Area is renowned for sulphur springs, therefore tap water has a slight aftertaste... some folks could refer to this as "mineral water", however if this turns you off, bring your own bottled water... Approx 1 1/2 hours to Bozeman and 15 minutes to Park Entrance, provide easy travel... Owners are very strict about no pets / no smoking which is reflected on the rental agreement.... Which worked fine for us as we flew in & out w/o pets and are not smokers... WiFi was a plus... Owners and family pretty much kept to themselves and enjoyed life, but were there if something was needed... If you prefer to make your own path away from the "motel zones", you will appreciate this property....

Just What We Were Looking For

Guest: Retired Travelers (Irving, Texas)
Date of Stay: 10/02/11 Review Submitted: 11/07/11

We loved our 4 days in Electric Peak cabin! When we look for a get-away from the hustle bustle of the Dallas Ft. Worth metroplex...we don't look for fancy. We want something clean, cozy, private, but memorable. Electric Peak provided all of that! We basically explored Yellowstone Park all day long and then came home to the cabin to sit on the porch and reflect on our day's adventures. Perfect!

Beautiful, conveniently located cabin

My wife and I spent an evening at the Electric Peak cabin and found it to be perfect for our needs. We wanted to stay close to Yellowstone, but we also wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors. The cabin is set on a hill above the highway, and you neither see nor hear the road. The result is perfect tranquility, access to wildlife (we saw a herd of bighorn sheep), and deep black skies. We will certainly look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Yellowstone!

Wonderful Relaxing Vacation

Guest: Niki (Iowa)

We had a great experience at Electric Peak Cabin and Yellowstone National Park. The cabin was in a perfect location, very clean and had comfortable beds. We were lucky enough to experience a bison jam where our car was surrounded by approx 50 bison. We also saw a black bear and many other animals. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax- this is the perfect spot for you!

This place was perfect for our vacation in Yellowstone

Guest: Jim and Pam (Island Lake, IL)
Date of Stay: 07/19/08 Review Submitted: 09/02/11

This place is perfect for a base to explore Yellowstone or just relax. My wife and 2 teenage sons stayed here in July and spent a week. We found the place new, clean and comfortable and just as it had been advertised. We sat out on the deck at night and enjoyed the sunset at dusk and the brilliant star display later that evening. The view of the mountains to the west of the cabin, one with snow still on its peak was beautiful. One day we were treated to mountain goats in the yard that had wondered down from the hills to graze. Each day we would trek into Yellowstone to explore something new. The cabins close proximity to the northern gate of the park made this easy. It is only a few miles out of Gardiner Montana which is located on Yellowstone’s Roosevelt gate. The town was big enough to have a fair share of restaurants and other amenities to make our stay comfortable and that we appreciated. I found the owners to be very accessible and friendly something I have come to expect from the people of Montana. My niece and her husband stayed here the year before and came back raving about it. After viewing her pictures and hearing her stories I decided to inquire into a stay of my own. I could not have been more pleased. We could have stayed in the Park but I felt this place was less hectic, crowded and felt much more like a private cabin in the mountains. With the Yellowstone River just across the road, I was tempted to look into one of the may rafting trips that I saw traveling down the river. I plan to come back again.

Electric Peak Cabin rocks!

Guest: Three generations (West Linn, Oregon; Austin, Minnesota)
Date of Stay: 07/04/11 Review Submitted: 07/26/11

There is truly no better place to enjoy Yellowstone! We will stay there again. The location is convenient, scenery outstanding, and the lodging is clean, new, and suitable for any family. Our kids had a blast climbing and mountain biking around the property, enjoying the horses and chickens, and the outdoors in general. The grandparents loved sitting on the porch every morning, drinking coffee, and in the evenings to watch the kids play and the fabulous sunsets behind the mountains. Gardiner is a cute little town with great restaurants and little shops. The Koel family was entirely kind and hospitable as they could be. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone!

Electric Peak Cabin is excellent.

This cabin is CLEAN, and cute, with a gorgeous view. There was a flock of wild big horned sheep right up front when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The best VRBO property we have stayed at as a family. The owners are extremely friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed 5 days of touring Yellow Stone with this cabin as our home base. A fun relaxing outing was an evening visit to the Chico Hot Springs. We also rafted the Yellow Stone River with the Flying Pig rafting company in Gardiner.
