Why the Owner Chose Turtle Point Villas

We chose Kiawah Island because it is anchored by one of the finest resorts in America. It was recently ranked 3rd in Conde Nast's Traveler Readers' Choice Awards. The resort amenities include a world class spa, some of the finest golf courses in all of America, two tennis centers, daily activities for children, and world class dining.

The Unique Benefits at this Villa

This Turtle Point Villa has the most relaxing setting I could imagine. Beautiful water and golf views directly off the back which can be enjoyed from the living room, dining room, sunroom, and back deck. We also LOVE the ocean, golf, the wilderness, bird watching, and the close proximity to some of the finest dining in downtown Charleston.

Great property!

We had a great time at this property. The condo was plenty big to accomodate two adults and two children. It was clean and well maintained. They left plenty of supplies. The location was great; biking distance to the beach, the market, the pool and parks. While the view from the deck was nice, the outdoor seating area could have been a little better. The metal chairs (without cushions) were not comfortable to very long. But, on the other hand, the enclosed patio was a great spot to read or have an afternoon cocktail. All in all, a fun, memorable family vacation.

The condo was very very nice! Large and accomodated our family nicely! Enjoyed the view from the table as well as sitting on the porch! Loved the fireworks on the beach! A little "jog" to the beach; but not tooo bad!. The rental agency was very very nice and super helpful. We plan on staying here again next year! We've been to Kaiwah about 18 times over a span of 25 years and this condo is our favorite!

Owner response:I am so hapy that you enjoyed the villa!!! How wonderful to hear that this has been your favorite place to stay in all your years coming to Kiawah. We look forward to having you again and thank you!

Review of Stay at Turtle Point Kiawah Island SC

Guest: DavidNC (North Carolina)
Date of Stay: 04/04/10 Review Submitted: 04/08/10

My wife and I, together with our children, stayed at Turtle Point Villas from Sunday night to Wednesday morning 4-07-10. The gatekeeper was friendly as we picked up our pass. We followed the clear directions to the villa. We got in without incident and found one key inside the villa. One small quibble -- we would have liked to have had more keys, but we made it work. The villa was clean and very tastefully decorated. It was nice to have fresh flowers and a paper listing the weather forecast for the week. The villa's kitchen was well equipped and all the living areas were very nice. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and fresh-smelling. Everything functioned as it was supposed to, except for the outlets in both bathrooms. We couldn't get the hair dryers to work, and nothing else worked connected to the outlets. I pushed the outlet reset button in one bathroom and that somehow fixed the outlets in both bathrooms. The area around our villa was quiet and we had no problems with noise during "quiet hours". So, for the villa itself, no problems except the minor ones mentioned above. We liked the view of the golf course and the small pond back of the villa. As far as the island itself, my wife and I appreciated the safety that we felt in the area. We felt safe on the well-designed bike paths, and walking to the beach. We didn't know how to get to the beach at first, but looking at the map made it relatively easy to find beach access. A closer beach access point and more bike-friendly beach access would have been appreciated. Freshfields was a good option for buying groceries and food since food and other supplies are relatively expensive within the Kiawah Island complex. Also, Charleston is only around 40 minutes away on small scenic roads. We had a good experience with Molly and the others we dealt with at Akers Ellis Realtors. We were offered a couple of hours leeway for checkout but left at the regularly scheduled hour anyway due to commitments at home. I will note that teenagers, at least mine, are probably looking for more action at the beach. My older children are not golfers or tennis players and were not really interested in the island's activities for teens. My wife and I really liked the island though.
