Mark and Angel have a truly wonderful place. I am currently staying here for two months and I could not have found a better place. Upon arrival, I was amazed to see the view! When I wake up each morning, I'm greeted to a gorgeous view of the ocean and with floor to ceiling windows, all I see is the ocean. This condo is truly private. The only things that can see into the condo are the birds that fly over the sea! The apartment is so quiet (I've had the best sleep I've ever had in three years here) and I sleep to the sounds of the waves. This is a beachfront property. No games, gimmicks, or misleading statements here, and it's gorgeous. The apartment is fully furnished: TV, internet, sofa, chairs, ironing board, iron, blender, comfortable seating, beautiful artwork, and air conditioning (which I NEVER use because the sea breezes are so wonderful). The lighting options are unbelievable; you have the ability to illuminate different parts of the space using over lights. There was fresh water waiting for me upon arrival...along with literature to guide me around the island. It is so clean, so spacious, so relaxing and the right in the middle of the action (without having to hear it) because the apartment faces the ocean. The bathroom is beautiful. Caribbean inspired tiles which line the walls, a beautiful vanity, and a relatively large shower. The kitchen is modern with brand new appliances. I go to the grocery store and cook daily which is a huge money-saver and all utensils and dishes are here, ready for you to use! If you are looking to be in the right in the middle of the action, restaurants, shops, beaches, pools, all while experiencing the quiet of a country home in the mountains, STAY HERE! The pictures are accurate but it looks even MORE stunning in person. I've never felt more safe and more welcomed and I feel like I live here. Thank you Mark and Angel! I will be recommending this place to all of my colleagues and friends from New York!

I have to admit that the view is what really pulled us into buying this place in the first place about three years ago — it's simply gorgeous and, like you said, feels very private since there is nothing outside the window except water, sand and perhaps a few birds flying overhead. Plus, the location we really love too, since it's a big plus to be able to walk all over Condado (although the garage is great when we do need to rent a car). Thanks for staying at our place!

Very nice place to stay,, well kept with an amazing view.This is a perfect condo for two. You could not ask for a better location and Mark is very easy to deal with and responds quickly to any concerns or question. The decor is modern and fresh. Mark had left additional information in the condo to help you plan your week, including tips on where and what to do. The doormen were always friendly and helpful and the area is very safe. I would recommend this condo to family and friends.

Die Wohnung ist traumhaft. Sie liegt direkt am einem kleinen Strand in Condado, neben dem Konrad Hotel. An dem Strand kann man jedoch nicht baden, allerdings ist ca. 500m weiter ein riesiger Sandstrand. Die Wohnung ist renoviert und sehr schön. Man hat von überall einen gigantischen Blick direkt ins blaue Meer. Es ist alles da: gemütliches Bett, Flachbildfernseher, Telefon, gut ausgestattete Küche, Fentilatoren, Klimaanlage, Handtücher, Klopapier, Wecker, ja sogar Wlan. Goldwert ist die Tiefgarage, da es an der Ashford Ave. eher schwierig ist einen Parkplatz zu finden. Ein Portier bewacht das Haus, schaut, wer ein und aus geht. Dadurch dass das Haus direkt am Wasser liegt, ist der Geräuschpegel eher hoch. Uns hat es nicht gestört, wenn jemand da allerdings empfindlich ist, könnte es problematisch sein. Ansonsten gibt es überhaupt nichts zu beanstanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist wirklich so, wie sie auf den Fotos und im Video dargestellt wird. Der Kontakt mit dem Besitzer Mark war sehr nett und zuverlässig. Vor Ort war dann eine nette Dame, die uns zur Schlüsselübergabe empfangen hat und die jederzeit verfügbar gewesen wäre, sollte es Probleme geben. Es hat alles super geklappt. San Juan, Condado, ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um die Insel zu erleben. In Condado ist Abends und Nachts auch genug zu unternehmen, da es jede Menge Restaurants und Bars gibt. Wir waren insgesamt eine Woche da und haben alle sehenswerten Sehenswürdigkeiten erkundet. Es war ein spitze Urlaub! Wir können die Wohnung, die Stadt und auch das Land wärmstens empfehlen!

Great apartment and the place was very nice and comfortable with a spectacular ocean view for the 4th floor. Everything included; linen, towels, iron, kitchen, utensils were accessible. Loved sleeping with the ocean sound at night. Very special. The location is excellent, Ashford Ave, is one of the best in the area many restaurants, shops and more… we had a great time – thanks a lot…

I enjoyed my stay in Yemayasuite with my mom and son. The condo was extremely clean, and stocked with everything needed to make our stay comfortable. The location is as good as it gets without having to pay outrageous prices! I'd stay there again without question! Thanks again for everything Mark!

Where to start? First comes out Mark and Angel actually live local to me so we had the chance to meet them. Great people and gave good places to go and eat. Got to the place with no problem..very easy to find and close to many places including Old San Juan. Parking for extra free is very much worth it. The doormen are great people and more than willing to help out and give contacts or refererals of places to go. They even helped us bring luggage upstairs. The pool area was empty and very clean...loved that part..felt like it was ours alone especially since it rained so much, the pool was excellent to take advantage of sun at all hours.The morning breeze with the door open and the ocean sounds is so welcoming to wake up to. We were a party of three and never felt tight. The bed was incredibly comfy. I would definitely stay here again when I visit San Juan again.

Nice Studio Apartment. Bigger than I expected! Parking included an A+!!! My only complaint: the music until 2:00am on Sat from the Restaurant/Bar next door! I know you can't control that Mark! I think next time I'll join them! LOL!!!

If you're looking for a great place to stay in a location conveniently near San Juan and the rest of the metro area, Yemayasuite is your place! The pictures accurately portray what you will find in this very clean and well-kept residential building in Condado. The apartment is attractive, well appointed and has a gorgeous view of the ocean. The owners are very attentive and made sure I was happy. I recommend this location wholeheartedly!

One Week at the Yemaya Suite...

The condo was extremely clean, extremely sparse and sleek. The owners were easily accessible and professional. Overall, my experience was kind of like a mixed bag of ups and downs. First of all, the condo feels more like an office than a "homeaway" from home. The warmth that Mark captures in his fotos of the suite, didn't quite translate for me. Of course, this is extremely subjective and I would not expect anyone else to feel the exact same way that I felt. That being said, Mark is a very talented photographer. Second, the condo is a little bit off of the "main" intersection of Condado and is a little bit of a walk when it is hot, humid, and rainy. Again, when the weather was agreeable, the walk was tolerable. Luckily, I had mostly great weather during my stay. Lastly, the kitchen is really not set-up for any actual cooking. Possibly boiling water, using the microwave, or the coffee maker. I did however find a dirty oily pan inside the oven. I sent an email to Mark and Angel and they responded quickly and attentively. The selling point of this condo is definitely the ocean view. It was an amazing experience waking up to the beautiful shoreline each and every morning. And the old lady that lives next door is quite nice! I would recommend this condo to a friend because of the professionalism of the owners and the ocean view.

When we renovated this apartment last year, we aimed to create a clean, open, uncluttered and comfortable space that would make the most of the view and the location (it's right on Ashford Avenue, Condado's main strip, midway between La Concha and the Conrad Condado Plaza, two of San Juan's hottest hotels. So if you like the locations of those hotels but are looking for a fully equipped apartment at a value price, you will most likely appreciate our place). Regarding the kitchen, we should note that it is indeed fully equipped for any kind of cooking. In addition to the brand-new, full-size stove, oven, refrigerator and microwave that we installed just months ago, the kitchen also has pots, pans, utensils, a toaster, coffee maker, cups and glasses. Many of our guests -- including some staying with children -- have used the kitchen regularly to prepare their meals and found it to be a great convenience. (Jerry's comment is in reference to the fact that he had been expecting to find perishables such as cooking oil and other food preparation material that he could use -- but in a waterfront apartment in the tropics, we don't leave perishables that could result in a dirty space for future guests. But there is a large supermarket, a 24-hour Walgreens with supermarket department, and a convenience store all within minutes of the condo, making it easy to buy whatever you need). We supply complete information to each guest about local stores, and also answer any additional questions about shopping, dining, sightseeing, etc. Our goal is to make this a wonderful place to spend a vacation or to stay for an extended period of time, since we now offer excellent monthly rates!

Right Decision to rent

I was very glad I chose this property. The building is quiet and the view of the room is just the same as in the picture/video. You were able to hear the waves at night. Everything was very clean. We had a problem with the toilet handle but was fixed promptly. There is no parking space but we were able to pay a reasonable price at a parking lot a block away. Mark provided easy money transaction. My husband and I had a great time in P.R. and visited a lot of places. Old San Juan is practically next door. We rented a car 2 blocks away from the building which is Avis, cheaper price that Hertz. Also, Deborah was very nice and provided good service. Overall, my husband and I will consider staying again. Thanks Mark and Angel for your accommodations.

Many thanks to Mark and Angel for a fantastic stay. The condo was beautiful and was just as described on the site and in the photos. Great location and close to great beaches and restaurants. I especially liked the restaurant Piyako at the Conrad Condado Plaza. Expensive, but worth every cent. I would definitely recommend this property, and already have! Mark made the booking very simple and even made recommendations regarding things to see in the area. Thanks for making my trip to Puerto Rico so memorable.

My friend and I rented the condo for a long weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Beautiful view. Nicely furnished. Great location. We are already planning to return next year.

This condo was much more than we had ever imagined. First of all I want to say that Mr. Mark was very helpful, professional and everything we needed was taken care of in our stay. We had no idea what was in store when we got to Puerto Rico. The condo was immucaulate roomy, and the view of the ocean was breathtaking and the sound of the waves were like an angelic lullaby. So much to do, as soon as you walk outside so many beautiful shops, beautiful nearby hotels with great nightlife and much excitement. Everything is walking distance. We even walked to Old San Juan. I just can't believe this little gem was a click away. We want to visit again in July, so I will be contacting Mark again. Here is to hoping it is available again.

a couple of small gripes

The place is pretty much as advertised. The unit was clean and in good repair; there was one small maintenance issue which I brought to the owner's attention at my departure. The building is not as nice as the unit but acceptable. The biggest disappointment is that the pool is unused and abandoned feeling; there are no chairs, etc. around the pool so, if you want to do a swim for exercise, cool; but not a place your going to want to hang out.

Owner response: Thanks for your helpful comments, Ralph — especially the maintenance issue (a leak in the sink), for which we've called a plumber and had repaired. We agree that the building is “not as nice” as our individual unit — our condo, after all, was massively renovated just over six months ago. The building’s board is in the initial stages of renovating the public areas (the elevator motors have just been replaced and cosmetic upgrades are next for the public areas). These upgrades will also improve the swimming pool area — although the pool itself is already well maintained, with sparkling clean water that is cleaned daily. In addition, we provide beach chairs that guests are welcome to take to the pool area, along with their own refreshments and even food. Many of our guests have, in fact, appreciated that our swimming pool is less used by residents than most other buildings — because it’s much easier to have the pool to yourself and feel like it’s all your own! Future guests should be sure to check out the video we made of the apartment and the pool (I send a link to everyone who makes an inquiry), so they can get an idea of exactly what it looks like. I spent 2 wonderful weeks in Puerto Rico,the apartment is really clean and nice,the location is wonderful.It was a pleasure making business with Mark,he is very professional and helpful,responds to e-mails promptly and is very honest(every transaction went smoothly).I recommend this apartment to all of you reading this review.This was my first time renting from homeaway and i was satisfied.I'll definitely come back to PR and i'm looking forward to stay in this apartment again.Everything you need is in walking distance,the doormen are friendly and polite.I didn't personally meet Deborah,but my boyfriend who did said she is a very nice lady.Don't hesitate and book the Yemaya suite!!!

My wife and I stayed here with our 4 year old daughter. I cannot begin to describe what a great experience it was. From the first contact to the receipt of the final deposit, Mark was on the money providing a very smooth and professional transaction. The condo was just as satisfying. The location was perfect and convenient. It was immaculate, secure, ellegant, and nicely decorated. I would highly recommendthis condo, and will definately be using this option for all my future vacations regardless of destination. Very affordable (cheaper than hotel) and saved even more by making breakfast daily. We never even saw the pool, as we walked to the beach almost every day there. Thanks again, Mark. Pleasure doing business with you. Will be recommending you to a friend we made while there.

I really enjoyed my stay and wouldnt have asked for a better place to stay. I had so much fun in Puerto Rico I did quite a few things such as horseback riding, jet skiing, and atv (4 wheeling)!!! The apartment was very comfortable, cozy, and beautiful!! Mark was great, anytime I had I question about anything he was right there on time, if it was through e-mail or phone!! WHAT MORE CAN I SAY....I had a blast and would recommend this apartment anyday!!! Thanks again Mark and the Crew!

I've never rented a condo before for a family vacation and was a little skeptical at first. However, this experience proved that this is the way to go! The condo was absolutely beautiful and definitely more than enough room for my husband and 2 kids. Immaculate and the amenities were perfect as the kitchen provided a "home feel" and saved us $ as we ate brkfst before we went out to enjoy the beautiful island. The location is perfect, as it's conveniently located near all types of restaurants, beaches, casinos, etc. The process in booking was totally professional until the very end! I recommend this beautiful condo 100% I am definitely going back!

This place was great. It is located around all the good places in Condado. The condo is located very close to many of the major roads running through and out of San Juan which helps for those who want to travel outside of San Juan. If you are looking to stay on the beach all week you will have a 5 min. walk to the main beach. Old San Juan is only a few min. away. There is a Chili's across the road and a Walgreen's is right up the street. For those who rent a car be aware of parking. There is one street up the road from the condo where you can park for free, but it very hard to find anything there. You will probably have to park and pay. We found a place about a 3 min. walk up the road from the condo that is $6 a day. It was by far the cheapest one. This is not a problem for just this condo but all of them in the area. It is just good to be aware of that. The condo is well protected. I felt safe and I trusted nothing would happen to my stuff while I was out. The view of the beach is amazing and you are so close that even when the door is shut you can hear the water. It has high-speed internet. The room itself does not have a washer and dryer but you have access to some on the 3rd and 5th floor of the building. The room is on the 4th. This place is all that I needed for my trip to Puerto Rico. For the price and location versus other condos in this area I felt this place was a great deal.

My friends and I (3 of us!) were very pleased with the apartment. The building is located in Condado, SJ; and it's right in the middle of everything (restaurants, shopping areas, nightlife, etc etc....) If you're up for a walk, it might take you about 15-20mins and you'll be in Old San Juan, not too far from "El Morro". As in the pictures, you can see and hear the ocean right outside the balcony-- its really pretty and relaxing! The decor of the apartment is very "Miami chic". the off-white paint on the walls, the red cabinets on the kitchen, the suede brown sofa, the queen size bed and the flat screen TV, makes it feels homey but yet sophisticated! Doorman/security were friendly and always on-sight 24/7

Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
