Sea Meadows is a 21 acre estate on the Queen of the Gulf Islands - Gabriola Island. Gabriola is just a 20 minute ferry ride from Nanaimo, Once on the island, Sea Meadows is less than a mile from the ferry dock. The estate consists of four homes connected by a paved oval driveway in a very private, peaceful, and pretty in a park-like setting. The main residence is set back one-third of a mile from the rental homes to ensure maximum privacy for all.
There are three (3) rental homes. The first two, The Gate House and The Round House, are approximately a city block apart, and are 150 and 300 feet from cozy Descanso Bay. The third house, The Honeymoon Hideaway, is set back further, and has it’s own private setting. Only a lightly traveled road separates the estate from the natural cove and beachfront. The beach is a typical British Columbia beach, both rocky and sandy yet flat and walk on, where you can either beachcomb, swim, or even launch and anchor your boat in the bay.
"The Round House" consists of one large bedroom with a queen-size bed and also comes equipped with two queen-size pull-out couches in the living room. This house is decorated in oriental motif with attention to detail such as the high ceilings, ceiling fans to hand woven wooden blinds. The bathroom features a Jacuzzi tub for two with a shower. The kitchen is fully-equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dinnerware, and utensils. The comfort of the living room is enhanced by the luxury of having a 42" HD TV with DVD player and VCR for your pleasure.
"The Honeymoon Hideaway" is a large cottage (approx.550 SQ. Ft.) in a very private park-like setting. The interior has a vaulted ceiling, with a Four Poster Queen-size bed over seven feet high done in solid ash, and custom wall covers that make for a warm and romantic atmosphere. The living room area has a comfortable couch that opens into a queen size bed, as well as a 27 inch color TV with VCR for your pleasure.
The kitchen is full-size with a pub type eating area and four suede covered bar stools. Kitchen is complete with full size stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. The bathroom has both a shower and bathtub. This cottage though designed for a romantic interlude is also perfect for a family with two small children.
CHILDRENS'S and ADULT PLAYGROUND! For the youngsters, we provide a children's playground with a trampoline, basketball hoop, slide, teeter-totter, fort, swings, and a sandbox. The 1/3 mile of paved circular driveway also makes riding a bicycle for children a pleasure. For adults, there is a commercial-quality, well equipped gym including a four stack Hoist Multi-Gym, tread mill, several types of stationary bikes (including upper body), A heavy bag, a speed bag, dumbbell rack, heavy weights, incline bench, and more. (Approximately 1000 foot gym). THERAPEUTIC SPA! We have an eight-person therapeutic spa in a beautiful, private, gazebo done in an Oriental style
CHARTER BOATS AVAILABLE! A 30 foot Sunrunner fully-equipped for cruising or fishing. Sleeps six to eight people, central air and heat, generator, TV, VCR, Nintendo 64, microwave, water purifier, bar, food processor, central vacuum, radar, GPS, Cannon electric downriggers, full canvas, even the deck is heated.
