We just spent a week at this property and the minute we walked in the door we all said WOW. We have camped at Garfield Bay on and off for over 20 years and decided we would like the comforts of a house. It did not disappoint. It truly feels like you are staying at a friends house as there are books, games and movies, a note telling us to help ourselves to the fridge contents( we tried to leave a few cold ones for the next group) and as a bonus we had the pleasure to meet Steve. He is a great and interesting guy! I have always loved this area and getting to enjoy it knowing there was a king size bed waiting made it ideal. The views are truly beautiful and the house is designed to maximize them.It is a half mile to the beach/park/marina and a short slow drive to Green Bay which is a must to see.The Cap'ns Table is awesome and a picture of Guy from Diner's Drive in and Dives is on the wall. The in house smoked brisket is amazing and is served pure(no sauce) as a french dip it sells out fast, the pastrami is amazing(have the pastrami burger) and the people are awesome. Of all the places I have rented this one made me want to come back...next month. We had a group of six and it was plenty of room..Enjoy!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is a great place to kick back, relax and enjoy the scenery! The view of the lake is spectacular from the porch, living room, kitchen as well as the master bedroom. The house is comfy and roomy with plenty of space for the whole family to stretch out. We had such a great time exploring the surrounding areas such as Bonners Ferry and Priest Lake. The Silverwood Park/Boulder Beach is a must if you have kids. The little marina in Garfield Bay is walking distance from the house and has a nice little park where you can swim or fish. However, regardless of the day’s activity, I couldn’t wait to get back and relax on the porch with a cold beverage! Thanks for sharing Steve.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Great view of the bay and lake. Relaxing and quiet. Sunsets are beautiful over the mountains. The boat launch (FREE) is only 2 minutes away and the lake is awesome and huge. We took a week to explore it all. There is a cute restaurant/bar and little store across from the boat launch which came in handy. The house is roomy and comfortable. There was a ton of room for the 4 of us. Again the view from the whole house and deck - which is the length of the house is absolutely beautiful. Great value!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We recently enjoyed 7 days @ Garfield Bay. We appreciated being more secluded, but also having a 'home' to come back to each day. Being able to make our own meals and do our laundry was fantastic. The huge master bedroom and bathroom was a nice treat. We saw wildlife everyday of our stay including many deer sightings. The neighbours were also lovely. Nearby Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach water park were amazing. Boulder Beach at Silverwood is a 'must do' attraction if you enjoy the water - we had a great experience there. Garfield Bay itself is very quaint and provided great lake swimming. We rented a sea-doo at Bottle Bay, a 10 minute drive away. Doggie owners - there is no fenced area so keep leashes ready if your dogs are not trained off leash. It was so nice not to worry about the neighbours with our barking dogs! The property was clean, although the house is showing it's age/character. I would recommend this property to others for many of the features it provides. We als enjoyed the BBQ and the large layout of the house.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We loved Steve's place. The place had an awesome view and everyday was paradise. Deer visited in the morning and evenings. We enjoyed Garfield Bay and the local establishment, as well as the beach and easy access to both Sandpoint and Coeur dlane. Steve's place was large and well stocked with items that we could use and replace which was nice. The bedroom and bathrooms were ample for our needs. Thanks Steve, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to consider it for next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
