The Running Y is a beuatiful area and this house had everything we needed for a great stay. We loved feeding the birds and seeing the variety. Very thoughtful hosts that provided so many extras. Anytime we needed something we just started looking around and found it!

We have been going to the Running Y for several years and have found the perfect spot! This home is perched on the ridge of the Running Y overlooking the valley with a great view. It is the most equipped vacation home we have ever rented and had everything we needed. We also rented the downstairs apartment for another family that came with us. This house is big! Our kids slept in the upstairs bedroom which is huge and spacious. There are two well appointed bedrooms on the main level and the downstairs apartment had one bedroom and two fold out sleepers in the living room. Both the apartment and main kitchen were well equipped with everything including a baking station. There are two decks with great views of the ranch and the many deer that walk by. Because the house is in a cul-de-sac, it is super quiet. The owners were very easy to work with and everything that was promised was delivered. The house was clean and warm when we got there, instructions were sent to us via email in advance and we received a prompt refund of our security deposit. In summary, we and our friends had a memorable stay at this home and are already planning a return trip in the future. I would definitely rent this home again!!

We had a family reunion at this lovely location over the long holiday weekend. The home was warm, comfortable and has a wonderfully well equipped kitchen. The owner provided detailed information about the home, the community and the region. It was very well-maintained and very clean and the owner was very responsive to all our inquiries. The ice skating rink was a tremendous hit with our family and we enjoyed using it day and night. We loved the setting and the resort community location. This was a 10 star vacation and one we would love to repeat annually.

What a wonderful home! Running Y Ranch is a beautiful community! I was traveling with two boys and this home was more than enough for us...easily could have accommodated more people. Kitchen was well stocked, master bathroom was gorgeous (LOVED the jacuzzi tub!) and the views from the living room were amazing. Cathy was VERY easy to work with and I would definitely stay here again if I am traveling in the area!

Amazing week. This home was very spacious, clean, and full of supplies. It's a beautiful location on a ridge, and the wildlife is amazing. The kids enjoyed using the pool and tennis court at the clubhouse. The rear of the house is almost all window, so you get amazing light and views from inside the kitchen and living area. The beds were very comfortable, and the master bathroom is a treat. The kitchen is modern and spacious, you will have everything you need to cook great meals in the kitchen. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We received quick respond when we got looked outside.

So much to say about our stay all good. The squirrels and birds were endless entertainment for all of us ages 2 to 60. There were 5 buckst in backyard early one morning. Golfers rejoiced in the beautiful arnold palmer course. Daytrips for hiking, swimming, and picknics are with in 15 min of home. The house is very comfortable and makes for a relaxing atmosphere. Love the quiet and peaceful lifestyle we led there. Our party booked an extra day because we did not wnat to leave.

We were in Klamath Falls only a few days and needed a place where we could entertain local family in a relaxing environment. The owners were excellent to work with and the home was large enough both inside and out. We also took advantage of the Running Y hiking trails, pool, & sauna. I would highly recommend this home for anyone wishing to spend a few days in a relaxing and comfortable environment.

My scrapbooking group have been traveling from Medford to Running Y twice a year for the last 7 years and this was definitely one of our favorite rentals thus far! The home was clean and well-maintained and there was an amazing amount of light through all of the wonderful windows. Oh - and the birds were AMAZING - we kept feeding them and watching all the different varieties come by. The squirrels too - acrobatic trying to get to the feeders and only one fell off the deck - I think he is okay though. The kitchen was VERY well stocked and the owner was even gracious enough to leave us a gift certificate to the store, because I'm sure that she "knew" we would forget to bring ice cream :-) I would definitely recommend this house - and we may try to stay here again. The only "issue" is that there are a lot of stairs so getting our supplies and and out of the house gave us quite the workout. Oh and speaking of workouts - the hill to the house is definitely a challenging way to end our 4 mile walk - but it was good for us :-) Awesome weekend - thanks!

We don't have much to add to all the wonderful comments about this great house. We loved the well stocked kitchen, the comfortable beds, luxurious linens, fires in the fireplace, the view from the deck, and visits from birds, squirrels, and deer. It was the perfect half-way meeting place for us, coming from Sacramento and Portland. We spent one day caving at Lava beds NM and the other snowshoeing at Crater Lake. It was wonderful to come back to such a comfortable home after a long, cold day outdoors.

This beautiful home is our new favorite place for our family vacation. Our stay for a week with our family of 6 and sister made treasured memories. The 7 of us loved every minute enjoying the beautiful views from every window of the house. Even preparing meals is fun as almost every window in the house has a gorgeous view. The snow was wonderful and our 4 sons loved sledding down the great hill by hole 9 just less than a mile down the road. Big 5 Sporting Goods sells great sleds and are very helpful. We gave the boys the sleds for Christmas and on fresh snow the orange ones work great and on icy days the blue ones go very fast. The hill really is the perfect sledding hill. We rented cross country skis from Parkers in town for a very small fee and skied around the back of the golf course shop. There are trails for the first several miles and the scenery is spectacular. This is a great course for a family of beginners because you are close to your car and restrooms at the golf shop. We drove to Mt. Ashland to introduce our boys to downhill skiing as well. They offer great instruction to the kids and it is a very good place to learn. We also made snow forts and had snowball fights right outside the front of the home. Taking walks is perfect as the home is just doors away from stupendous views of the lake and a wonderful walking trail as well. The kids also enjoyed using the pool and jacuzzi at the clubhouse. We will fondly remember the services at Klamath Presbyterian Church and their very welcoming pastor David. The Christmas eve service at Klamath Christian Center gave out tiny flashlights to use while singing Silent Night and had a wonderful lit up manger scene in the snow that was actually a gift from Klamath Presbyterian Church. A house right by the sledding hill also has a beautiful manger scene lit up. All the lights on the different houses, a blown up polar bear with Santa on his back just doors away, friendly nature of the neighbors and genuine helpfulness of the owners makes this a wonderful place to come and have a family vacation every time of the year. The kitchen is even stocked with cake mixes, brownie mixes, spices and everything you might forget at the store. This is the best vacation place for sure.

I agree-this is the best outfitted VRBO property ever and the owner generously left a gift certificate to the Running Y Ranch Market-could these owners be any better? No, Cathy and Bob are the best! The scenery-the views are fantastic and the home is so comfy. The upstairs loft bedroom is a great resource too. We had a massage at the spa (they were offering discounts at Thanksgiving) with Deborah and it was good. Having the Recreation Center with the indoor pool and jacuzzi right on the property is wonderful. We hope to explore the surrounding sights at a time of year when they're accessible. Thanks you so much!

We stayed for 11 days in November and literally only needed our clothes and food. All other amenities are stocked at the house to make the stay very comfortable (including every spice imaginable). We felt like guests of the owner, not renters. Books, brochures, maps and general information regarding the area are available and very helpful. Bird food is provided for the bird feeders on the deck and we enjoyed seeing all the different birds come by (including some very fat squirrels). Deer in the area sit right in the yard. Would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning soon!

We spent a week in this comfortable home, spacious home. We especially loved the location, views and kitchen. The owner was wonderful to work with and both couples appreciated all the special touches that made us feel at home. There was a wealth of information about the area, and we took advantage of several suggestions, from visiting Crater Lake (an easy drive) to exploring local trails. We played a lot of golf during our visit (we love the course) and always looked forward to coming back the the house to read and relax afterwards. We hope to make an annual visit to Running Y and would love to stay here each year.

We had a wonderful week here! Cathy and Bob have done an excellent job stocking their home with all the little extras a vacationing family may need: kitchen staples, travel info (with maps/printed directions to borrow), games, books, food for the birds.... You can rent here with confidence that you will have a wonderful time, whether enjoying the activities of the Running Y, or venturing out to Crater Lake, Lava Beds or renting a boat in Klamath Falls for a few hours. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this property during Memorial day holiday. Cathy is a such a pleasant person to interact with. She makes one very welcome and goes above and beyond to answer questions and makes this a home away from home for any type of vacation stay. I have to point out that the kitchen is the most complete kitchen I've ever seen in a vacation home. When Cathy mentions 'fully equipped home' it is true to the core. It had every spice needed, every appliances and utensils one can think of. Although we did not have a chance to use most of it, I am sure it will be very handy for families with many kids. We enjoyed the bird watching from the house and the bird food that Cathy left at home came in handy. There were so many varieties and so many sounds, my daughter especially loved it very much. The beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms, linens, everything were so clean and organized. Even the bathroom has everything you can think of. The view is abolutely gorgeous from the home. When we stayed we had 3 straight days of sun. The view of the mountains, blue sky, greenery, deer by the house was a spectacular view. The golf course was beautiful and tempting although we did not use it. There are nice trails by the home where we sawy groups of deer. The convenient store in the resort is very handy for the day to day supplies. I truly recommend Cathy's place to anyone who is looking for a perfect getaway location. We surely plan to visit there next summer. Thank you Cathy!!

A group of us stayed at this home in May of 2010. We travel to Klamath Falls every year, and have stayed in a home on the Running Y before. This home was very spacious, clean, and full of supplies. It's a beautiful location on a ridge, and the wildlife is amazing. We were there for only twenty minutes before 6 deer walked through the back yard, shortly after lunch time. There are bird feeders on the back deck, and we recommend using them. You will have hours of hundreds beautiful birds feeding right in front of you. The entire transaction and stay was very easy and pleasant. I highly recommend this home, and we will be returning there again year after year as long as the owners are not living in it. :)

We all had a wonderful time at the house. It was very clean and welcoming, and the kids loved to feed and watch the birds. Also the travel guides and maps in the kitchen were very helpful. I was impressed by Cathy's personal service, whenever I had a question she always wrote back to me and answered it. It was our first time in Oregon and we enjoyed ourselves a lot.

If you want a 'home away from home' your search is over - this is your place! You have everything you need right here. It's impeccably clean and spacious. The beds are VERY comfortable. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet. The owners are the nicest people I have ever dealt with through VRBO. You MUST try the homemade bread in the freezer - it's YUMMY! What a thoughtful gesture! Stop by the Running Y Market - very accommodating, friendly and they carry unique items along with scrumptious wines. Glo from Portland, OR - Jul 09

First and foremost, your house is wonderful, we would love to stay again.Wonderful bread – perfect for coffee and watching the birds. (Owner gifts a loaf of Finnish pulla to each group of guests.) I like the pantry. It’s a working space that you don’t really have to clean up – just close the doors. It is well stocked and quite useful for long term stays. Compared to the 6 VRBOs that I have stayed at, you are very generous. The home was very clean. The bedding and linens are first class. The bathroom supplies were more than what I would get/expect from a hotel. Your kitchen had all the supplies that I could use. We made use of your plastic ware for our on-the-go lunch. This type of stuff was convenient for us. I expect that those who stay at your house to enjoy the resort would not need this. Other homes I have stayed at roughly the same price were much more sparse. They tended to be sparsely furnished, not as clean, or in some cases stocked with older sets of kitchenware . The only appliances tended to be a coffee maker and a microwave. My only concern was that your home was so complete that I hope you never have an abusive renter.

We had a wonderful stay in this rental home during early June. It was spacious, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We mostly packed lunches and cooked dinners, and the kitchen was large and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable, and the bird watching from the deck was a treat! Very convenient to Crater Lake National Park, Lava Beds National Monument, and Lake of the Woods for fishing. We don't golf but the course looked inviting, and the staff around the lodge and store were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
