Casa Luna y Sol de Ensueno is located in the village of Sayulita. Sayulita is 40 minutes North of PVR international airport in Puerto Vallarta.
Casa Luna y Sol de Ensueno is in the beach front complex known as Villa del Palmar ((House of Palms). We are on the North side of the village and are a short 4 block walk to the downtown area and the town square.
While our location affords easy access to all of the excitement and action of our village, we are also tucked away within a peaceful surrounding that feels as though you are miles away from the activity.
Our complex is comprised of 21 homes that have all been designed with maximum exterior living space to take great advantage of our wonderful tropical environment.
Most of the homes in Villa del Palmar are owner occupied and we share a sense of caring and communal involvement that is apparent.

We recently spent at week at this property and it was amazing. We couldn't have picked a more perfect location for a much needed beach vacation. The house lends itself to relaxing. We shared the house with friends. There was plenty of space to relax and for the kids to play. David and June are so patient and helpful and cool! Such a bonus to have them as a resource. Even when I was packing to leave I could still gaze out at the waves and sand. beach views from everywhere in the house, you can sleep to the sound of the ocean...bliss! The owner and managers were so helpful and accommodating and made everything so easy. I was emailing June with questions up til the moment I got on the plane and she was so responsive! We really loved discovering Sayulita and fully intend to return. Ole!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Vacation rentals are always a crap shoot: are the photos accurate? It is really on the beach? How nice is the pool really? Casa Luna y Sol was absolutely just as advertised and more. There are four spacious bedrooms, two kitchens and an absolutely killer rooftop deck with great views of the ocean and beach. While the rooms are not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination, they are very clean and were perfect for us -- -- a single woman, young parents, an infant and two baby boomers. Bonus on this property: the water is twice-filtered (in this unit only!) so you don't have to drink bottled water if you stay here. Tap water is perfectly safe. The kitchen and living areas are all open air. When the weather is good, this is no problem. Not sure what this would be like in the heat of summer, however. The pool is fantastic and big. Being in a condo community was great for us -- the neighbors were friendly and helpful, but respectful (especially important for the parents and infant traveling with us). There was also a daytime security guard. All of this made us feel extremely safe and secure while we were there. The property managers were also super responsive, helpful and extremely friendly. The condo is right on the pool and about a 15-second walk from the beach. The center of Sayulita is about a 5-minute walk from the front of the condo complex and there are great cute restaurants right across the road and on the walk into town. The location could not be better. I whole-heartedly recommend this for families and groups of friends traveling together. I can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: June and David currently reside in Sayulita and on an island in the Pacific Northwest. They are both Interior- Exterior Designers and bring their talents to the many projects they create and to the homes that they manage. David and June create environments that are understated, relaxed and always elegant. They are both cooking enthusiasts, environmentalists, love to garden and are involved in holistic and alternative health. David is a photographer, tile and stone artist jewelry maker and has owned a renowned restaurant. He is a Marine Biologist and this background is what brought him to the Pacific Northwest and drew him to Sayulita. June has been in the design field for over 20 years, creating landscapes, homes, businesses, weddings, and special events for her clients in the US and Mexico. David and June have two grown daughters who have spent time in Sayulita since they were small children and now bring their families to Sayulita.

Sayulita is truly a gem in the Mexican Riviera. A surfing Mecca. Although Sayulita has grown into quite a busy little village it has remained intimate and has all of the charm and unique qualities that one would have found in years past. Sayulita attracts many visitors from the United States and Canada as well as visitors from other areas in Mexico, South and Central America and all over Europe. Suyulita is truly an international meeting ground. You will find restaurants ranging from traditional Mexican fare to French, Italian, Creative International, Organic Vegan...Sayulita offers many coffee Bistros and Wi-Fi internet connection is available in many locations. It is quite possible that you could find yourself ensconced in your vacation rental with a good book and never desire to step further than the beach in front of you. Or, you could plan your vacation and fill it with so many adventures that you would surely need to extend your time. Sayulita is a place where you decide how busy or how relaxed you want to be.
