The Islander is on Holiday Isle and has many unique attributes. It is walking distance to the jetty where you can climb up and watch boats coming in and out of the harbor. It has a laundry room for those wanting to "wash up" before returning home and for those long-term residents. The linen room is open to exchange linens and towels. It's also minutes from the Big Kahunas (less than a mile) the Track (less than a mile) and the Aquarium (a hot tourist spot to watch shows performed by marine life).
Specifically, Unit 609 is unique because it is:
- across from the elevators so is convenient and quiet because it's an end unit
- looking right out on the beach where there is something going on at almost any time - - the -fishing tour boat gather in the mornings to get bait, you can watch parasails and tourist boats going up and down the shoreline any time during the day. Pods of dolphins go up the shoreline in the morning and come back down the shoreline in the late afternoons

Why the Owner Chose The Islander
The location is attractive because it's on Holiday Isle off of the busy Highway 98, yet immediately accessible to the tourist attractions off of highway 98. Being close to the jetty we get lots of unique wildlife (dolphins, manatees, schools of fish) which attract birds, fun tours, etc. There is always lots of activity. You can also rent umbrella sets, kayaks, sailboats, boards during the summer.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Beach set (2 chairs and umbrella - value $150/wk, included when booking this unit.The property has two swimming pools, a cabana for charcoaling, picnicking or just to get some shade. You can play tennis, basketball, shuffleboard, pinball games, and walk/jog in the neighborhood filled with many homes built by well-know personalities in entertainment and business.
For supplies for your stay. Two rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towel and one package of dishwashing soap are provided, but you may need extra during your stay, or you may want to buy laundr

We live in Dallas and have been coming to The Islander for more than 10 years. In fact, once we made the trip to Destin our girls never wanted to go anywhere else! Once the real estate market adjusted to an affordable level, we snatched up our unit. We were patient and waited for the very unit that has the best location, views and opportunity for upgrading. We immediately invested in the unit with substantial upgrades and plan to invest more into the unit each year! Our unit has many repeat visitors - - validating the location, unit convenience and outstanding gulf views!

We own this property and have a guest book in the unit. Comments are amazingly positive...mostly about the view/unit decor and the TV! The Islander will be the top property on Holiday Isle by Spring 2011!
