The location is perfect expecially if like me you are an opera fan, the quality of the apartment is outstanding, you are right in the centre of the city with almost everything within walking distance or easy access to public transport, shops, restaurants etc...competitive prices space and freedom that no hotel would give you, just perfect particularly for longer stays (5 days and over)

The location is excellent, close to trams, excellent restaurants and bars. We can walk to the opera. A great shower in bathroom with never ending hot water. Enjoyed the wellness center. The pool was nice and we were able to negotiate a good rate since we ended up spending 5 months here. The owner of the flat was always responsive and honest. Really have no complaints.

We looked for several months for an apt in Budapest that was located where we wanted and had the amenities we were looking for. This Condo met all of those requirements and turned out much better than expected. Close to public transportation, 24/7 grocery stores, restaurants plus the added bonus of 24/7 reception in the lobby who were very helpful with our questions. Restaurant in lobby served one of the best lunches for the price that we found in the city (less than 1000 HUF ($5)for 3 courses). There was also a fitness center and parking garage which we didn't use. We will stay here again.

We rented this property for 5 nights and had a very lovely time. The location is very good with many attractions and facilities around. The apartment was clean and the host very punctual and friendly.

We stayed in this apt for 4 weeks and absolutely loved it! Was clean and well maintained, the property manager was very helpful, the location could not have been better. We were close to public transportation, 24/7 grocery stores, restaurants, the Opera House, Andrassy Blvd. The restaurant in the building was up and running and had the best lunch deal in Budapest, 2-3 courses for less than 1000 HUF ($5) , the gym was busy and the parking garage open. We will stay here again on our next visit to Budapest. Even found an English speaking Mass that was a quick tram ride away on Saturday evenings. Budapest has so much to offer and even though it was our 4th trip, we still have only scratched the surface for things to do. And this apt only added to our enjoyment. No trouble with the CNN and the Turner Classic Movies in Eng at 1900 every night!

The location was Excellent ,the Hotel well maintained..Front desk was helpful(bit of a Language barrier)but they spoke enough English to help us for the most part..only downside..the soap is only given one time and we were informed to buy our own..no biggie just unusual..The coffee in the room was Fantastic..like true latte! Great hotel..great City!

We spent most of January in Budapest and this is a perfectly nice apartment in a great location. With the exception of a bedroom carpet that’s a little overdue for a cleaning, it was very tidy and the furniture/bed were comfortable. On the downside, it was lacking a number of the amenities outlined in the ad: There was no internet access. The property manager was working on this, but as of the end of January 2011, it still wasn’t installed. This was an enormous problem for us and he ended up (very generously) giving us his personal 3g stick. But if you’re on a working vacation like we were, and you don’t want to spend an inordinate amount of your trip in the wi-fi-equipped local Burger King, you might want to confirm that this issue has been resolved. The gym on the ground floor is closed and, from what we could gather, is not expected to reopen. The building’s new managers, who are fond of putting emphatic notes up in the elevator, made it clear that “The Parking Garage Is Closed Forever!!!!!!!” Not exactly sure what that means, but if you need parking, you might want to confirm it’s actually available. There were two English language channels when we arrived but, inexplicably, BBC changed to a (strangely mesmerizing) 24 hour Hungarian Lawrence Welk channel about a week into our trip. So, as of the writing of this review, the only foreign language channels are news in English, German, and French. The CD player mentioned in the ad is actually just the DVD player, which apparently can play music through the TV. There is no dishwasher There is no phone Finally, to say that this is a quiet apartment is a stretch. While there is very little traffic on the street, noise really carries. And the Hungarians, normally a reserved people, tend to start singing around 3am—particularly on weekends. I doubt this is a problem specific to this apartment, but you might want to consider bringing along a set of earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Would we rent this apartment again? If the internet problem were resolved, definitely.
Owner response:We have very recently visited our apartments in Budapest in light of changes with the facilities and amenities management company which has caused some reductions in amenities inc parking and internet being available to past guests. We fully appreciate that Internet / WIFI is a necessity for all our guests convenience and we have therefore installed our own private WIFI service to cover our specific apartments, this will also ensure the speed of internet service is much quicker than the previous service provided by the building management company. Our own guest services / property manager continues to be extremely responsive and understanding of any particular requirements our guests may have. We have reviewed our advertising to reflect that a Dishwasher is not available. The gym, restaurant are currently in the process of a change of ownership and it is envisioned these will be open again in the near future. We are also able to arrange parking with advance notice. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any specific questions.

We stayed here during a lovely week in Budapest and especially appreciated how close we were to great restaurants in Liszt Ferenc Ter and along the elegant Andrassy Blvd. Budapest's public transit is great and we loved the little M1 line with the Oktogon stop just a 3 minute walk from the flat. There are several 24-hour stores very close by so it was easy to stock up on breakfast supplies after our late evening arrival. The apartment itself was comfortable although a few details were not exactly as described in the listing -- there was no dishwasher, for example, and the bedding/linens were decent but "sumptuous" seems like a bit of a stretch. The Bo Concept chairs are cool to look at but not all that comfortable; the sofa was great, though. As there's a DVD player, I'd suggest bringing a couple of movies since there are only two TV stations in English (after a couple of busy days, we were pooped!). The quibbles are outweighed by the convenience of the place, and dealings with both the owner and the local property manager were friendly and efficient. I'd certainly suggest this apartment to friends considering some time in Budapest.

We really enjoyed our stay in this brand new apartment, the onsite gym and pool were great and worth the small daily membership fee. The apartment was in an excellent position and really well furnished and equipped. This apartment was a refreshing change from many older converted apartments (which can be cold & bare) that we have stayed in when visiting Budapest. We will definitely be using this apartment again and can highly recommend.

A joy to stay in this modern, newly built & centrally located apartment hotel. Amazing on site gym & pool, well worth the nominal daily (or weekly) membership. Rooms are modern & minimalist including fully equipped kitchen, and spacious lounge with stereo, plasma TV, above all neat, tidy and very clean! Bathrooms are really nice and modern, quality certainly not found in other apartments I've stayed at in Budapest. Also found in Beds to be very comfortable. Position is excellent, great area (district 6) for shopping, chic restaurants / bars and just a few steps from the Opera House. I will certainly use again ... Highly recommended!!

My recent visit to Budapest was fantastic, its a brilliant City break destination, with lots of old Building full of Character, the city is divided into the Buda and Pest sections divided by the river Danube. I stayed at a top class new Apart Hotel called Cityhome in a privately owned apartment which was chic and classy. The furniture was modern and stylish, CH has a swimming pool, sauna, gym and even its own restaurant. The opera house is just round the corner and so it a magnificent Church and Museum. Also around the corner are loads of delightful restaurants serving fantastic winter warming Goulashes for very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend staying here as it is central and easy to get around, its very cosy and chic at the same time, its fully equipped so you can save money by cooking at home.

There's nothing really wrong with the apartment, it's new, nicely furnished, comfortable bed, but the pro's stop here. Real lack of warmth here, there's not even an area rug in the living room (although one of the pictures on the website shows one), the bedroom has no blackout curtain and the street light shines right in. For an 11-night stay only 1 set of bed linen is offered and 1 towel per person. After calling the local agent he brought additional towels although I must say they felt like taken right out of a youth hostel. This doesn't feel like an apartment, it feels like a bare bones hotel suite without the hotel services. If the owners are interested in US customers they have to realize that our standards for towels and bed linen is probably higher than the Hungarian standards. Other than dishwasher soap no cleaning materials were offered and again we had to contact the agent for him to bring a mop and a vacuum cleaner. Even after getting a WiFi password from the reception desk, WiFi reception was poor at best, we were told that the WiFi antenna in the hallway was faulty. The building has a beautiful pool and gym which is mentioned on the website but I strongly suggest more honesty in saying that these services are available at an additional cost. The same same applies to the WiFi which is not free. We ended up getting these services for free simply because the reception staff were confused and didn't know whether we rented through the owners or through the hotel. The street and immediate surrounding, while only blocks away from fashionable Andrassy Avenue feels seedy and unsafe at night. The apartment is on a quiet street but dark, we had the lights on all the time, even during the day with full sunshine outside. My suggestions to the owners: For the price you're charging, offer at least one housekeeping service per week, make the living rooms a bit warmer and have some literature on Budapest with restaurant suggestions, etc. Also include free WiFi and free access to the Gym.
