"Walk-On-The-Beach" is a charming beach bungalow-style cottage with three separate entrances to three separate upscale luxury apartments each with a tropical colored front door. Ideal for a family that wants to stay together yet have privacy.
Your beach towels are in your room and beach chairs right outside your door. Enjoy a large high-end beach umbrella on the days you want to spend the entire day reading and drifting to sleep listening to the waves. Sounds great doesn't it?
"Walk-On-The-Beach" Guesthouse is located a block off Ocean Drive (A1A), at the end of "Millionarie's Row" and within walking distance of the famous Hillsboro Inlet. Across the street is our fabulous "Lighthouse Beach". We know beaches are so different and I promise this is one of the best. Not only because it is a wide-style beach, without any traffic, or because of the view of the Lighthouse, but because you are literally "entertained" on our beach with one of the best para boarding schools in the world right there. People come from all over the world to learn this growing sport. So as you are dozing off to sleep you'll see many colorful kite-chutes and their paraboarders flying high in the air.
At "Walk-On-The-Beach" Guesthouse you'll find the luxury you want. High thread count sheets, plush towels, choice of pillows, lovely soaps, a high end toaster oven (I don't know bout you but this is important to me!) KitchenAid cookware and gadgets, glass top stove, quality glass stemware and a blender. Enjoy breakfast outside on the screened in patio or an evening stroll tracing the waves as you walk.
There are also some unique things you can do at "Walk-On-The-Beach" Guesthouse. Like on a hot summer day, pick a papaya from our tree, eat it in while rocking in the hammock, getting papaya all over you, then shower in the outside shower. It's doing unusual things that give us "forever memories". When was the last time you were this relaxed?
Take a drive up Millionaire's Row to the Pier in Deerfield Beach or run down to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea or have an early dinner overlooking the ocean at the Sea Watch. Every afternoon the fishing boats bring fresh fish in, clean it and sell it. You can grill it in our tropical backyard.
Spend an evening walking up and down Las Olas, or shop at the very lovely Galleria. Whole Foods Market is 20 minutes away, Pompano Beach Golf Course is right across the bridge and the hammock is right in your backyard!

- Linens Provided: We provide luxury linens. Thick mattress pads and beautiful spreads. Everything is carefully washed and sanitized between guests. We wash and change EVERYTHING between guests. You may choose from a variety of new pillows. We do an every surface sanitation between guests. Our guests rave over the cleanliness.

- Deck/Patio: The "Tropical Backyard". An absolutely charming yard with lots of flowers and a large table with umbrella and four chairs for talking, meals, playing cards, writing letters, working on your laptop. Fun thing to do is walk on the beach, come back and take an outdoor shower and fall asleep in the hammock! There is a 15 foot cement wall in the back and fence which affords privacy. The fishing boats are practically within walking distance and every afternoon at 4 PM you can buy your choice of fresh fish! Come back and grill it in the tropical backyard. The Beach Bungalow has three separate apartments and they all share the tropical backyard, however you will most likely find it available for your use whenever you want to use it. There are three story townhomes two doors away and a bank on the other side of the brick wall. Except in rare circumstances, it is a very quiet place to relax, sunbathe and enjoy the Florida weather! Fun thing to do down here is to stay wet!

- Beach View: "Walk-On-The-Beach" is a block from the beach on a quiet side street. You cannot actually see the ocean from the apartments, but it IS less than five minutes walking from your front door until your feet are in the ocean!

- Suitability
- Pet Friendly: We are so clean and sanitized that you would never know a pet has ever been inside the apartments. Approved pets only with current license and vaccinations. We only charge $5-20 per day additional so your pet can be with you, instead of a kennel. You will be asked if your dog is treated with Frontline for ticks and Advantage for fleas. If not, we can provide it for you. I know what I want when I travel and try to accommodate my guests the same way. There is a nice area to run your dog.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: Must be over 21.
- Smoking Not Allowed: There is a $500 fine for smoking indoors. Guests are welcome to smoke outside.

Hello! I'm Betty. When I saw "Walk-On-The-Beach" Guesthouse I knew I had to have it! My goal was to turn it into something completely different and more upscale from any other vacation rental in the area! It became outrageous fun turning it into the very special place it is now. I like to pay attention to detail and you'll often see me often planting flowers, polishing windows and being the perfectionist I am. My husband owns a golf course, we have no children, so I love making beds and having my guests ooo and ahhh when they walk in. With a degree in fine art I've been a graphic designer all my life. Now I get to transfer my creative skills into something people will really enjoy. I was thrilled when Walk-On-The-Beach was selected as a "treasure" for the travel book "Treasures of Florida". I have "Betty's Vacation Rentals" in both Pompano-by-the-Sea and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and all are unique. Most importantly, I want to treat my guests the way I want to be treated on vacation! I absolutely fell in love with this beach bungalow house. It was less than a block to the beach, in a safe area and there were lots of nice people walking to and from the beach. I put up black and white striped awnings, planted a papaya tree, hung a hammock and had a wonderful time turning it into a perfectly charming dollhouse! Careful attention to detail, lots of love and a ton of money created "Walk-On-The-Beach" Guesthouse which has people constantly telling me they want to copy what I did in their home! I found my true passion with this property and can literally spend all day grooming, planting flowers and cleaning. I am a golf widow, so I get a thrill watching my guests enjoy "Walk-On-The-Beach. This is a perfect location! Now my local spa offers only my "Walk-on-the-Beach" guests hour long therapeutic Swedish Massage treatments for ... $40/hour! Yes, this IS YOUR beach home away from home. My guests can walk to the beach in just minutes. I provide beach towels, beach chairs and a large luxury beach umbrella. Staying at Walk-On-The-Beach is like a luxury hotel with a full kitchen then also adding the comforts of home with a full size kitchen, full sized fridge, glass top stove, high end toaster oven, blender, Kitchen Aide cookware, high thread count sheets and much more. I treat my guests the way I want to be treated when I travel.... like a VIP guest! First and foremost is, you guessed it, five star cleanliness. Walk-On-The-Beach Guesthouse is kept in perfect condition and "perfectly" clean! My guests will never find dust under or behind their beds. Secondly, one of the nicest features is the "Tropical Backyard" where my guests can pick their breakfast! There is a papaya tree, grapefruit tree and fig tree. You can sun on the lounger or enjoy shade to read a book. BBQ or rock yourself to sleep in the hammock. There's even an outdoor shower for rinsing off salt water and sand when you come back from the beach. This is an absolutely charming beach cottage and very private. Across the street you will find a Tiki Bar and one of the best para boarding schools in the world. Best of all are the high end beds and high thread count sheets. A good night's sleep is a given at Walk-On-The-Beach!

I meet the nicest people at Walk-on-the-Beach! I had not realized how perfect my beach bungalow is for scuba divers previously, but it is! I have an outdoor shower and it so close to a popular Dive Shop that runs dive trips. This couple were serious divers and I so loved hearing about their experiences! Hope they will come back.
