Emerald Bay II - A great, well-maintained home steps from the beach in Surfside Beach. The house is located on the north end of Surfside, a very nice street in Surfside. The house is 7 years old, very clean, with a good-sized pool. We keep it meticulously clean, are continuing to add nice amenities to the house. There are 6 TVs, 2 with DVD players. We also have free wireless throughout the house. There is a beautiful cherry hardwood floor in the living area, new paint each year, and an electronic door lock to minimize the possibility of key loss. We also have a charcoal grill, outdoor seating and lounge area on the elevated 1st floor lanai. The interior is painted each year, and touched up throughout the summer to ensure it remains VERY CLEAN with updated amenities.
This is one of the few properties in Surfside with 5 bedrooms, so including extended family in your vacation is another plus. The house is a duplex, in the pictures, it is the house on the right.
The beach, which is less than 100 yards from the front door is a guarded, public access beach; it is wide and clean, with no high-rises to crowd the beach. North Surfside is nice because it is close to the restaurants in the center of Surfside without the traffic on the streets. Your children can ride their bikes in the street or fish at the nearby lake.
There's plenty to do in the area. Surfside has a nice little downtown, with open-air restaurants, small shops, and a fishing pier. Just a few minutes away in Myrtle Beach is a boardwalk and amusement park, lots of restaurants, and shopping. The location of Surfside Beach is great if golf is part of your vacation. Surfside is about 20 minutes north Pawley's Island, and about 30 minutes south of North Myrtle Beach. There are over 100 golf courses within a 30 minutes drive.
This house rents only to families and responsible adults.

We had a great week at Emerald Bay II....With 4 adults and 4 kids from age 2 - 14, this home accommodated all of our needs. With the beach just across the street, it was very easy to just walk over and play and then come back to the house when someone was ready to go back. The house was very clean and nice and had plenty of room; rarely were you bumping into any one else. Even though the pool was kind of chilly, the kids still had a great time playing in it. From Murrell's Inlet to Myrtle Beach, you're just a short drive from many activities. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a nice, quiet vacation at a great price! Joe was great to work with as well!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed our week at Surfside Beach. The house was tastefully decorated, well maintained, and exceptionally clean. The wood floors in the dining/living area are gorgeous. It was just a block away from the beach on a quiet side street. We enjoyed both the beach and the pool. Correspondance with the owner was prompt and cordial. While in the area, members of our party visited Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach and went on the Pirate Adventure boat ride in Murrells Inlet. The nice thing about Surfside Beach is that it is close to the shows, shopping, and dining without having to deal with a lot of traffic and congestion all the time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I had our second trip to Emerald Bay II. It's an amazing house. It's everything you could ask for. The cleaning people do an outstanding job. There are restaurants nearby and it's just a short walk to the beach. We're hoping to go back again next year. I would definitely recommend this house to family and friends!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family & I were at your home the week of Aug. 25 thru Sept. 1. The weather was perfect. The house was very clean and relaxing, plenty of room for everyone. The price was excellent. Not far from the beach. The area was very peaceful, nice and friendly.My family really enjoyed how close of a drive it was to everything to do. The pool was a big plus. It was very clean with nice lawn furniture to relax and talk (and also drink coffee on the decks peacefully). I can't think of anything disatifying about the whole week. It's the first house I have ever stayed in that I would be wanting to stay in year after year. When we got home I actually felt like I had been on vacation.....Rested!!!! Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home...DGRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed for a week in July at Emerald Bay II and it was simply perfection! The house is very large and has everything you need and more. It was immaculate, extremely clean and well updated. Felt fresh and new and not worn down at all. There are five spacious bedrooms, a large kitchen with everything you need including a large pantry to store your food for the week, large dining room table and bar stools for everyone, two large furnished decks, a full size washer and dryer and your very own clean pool with lounge chairs and table. The beach was an extremely short walk from the house. You walk more going from your condo room or hotel to the beach. Like I said, perfection! I could go on and on.... Simply put you will not find any place better than Emerald Bay II. You get major bang for your buck here! Joe was great to work with, answered all our questions and was extremely professional. We are trying to figure out whe we can go back next year. After staying here we do not want to stay anywhere else again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Emerald Bay II was the perfect home for our family vacation!!!! My grandchildren loved the fact that the beach was so close....and the pool was greatly appreciated after a long day in the sand and sun. Emerald Bay II is tastefully decorated and very clean!!! If you're looking to find serenity, this is THE place! This was our first beach house rental thru VRBO. Over the years my husband and I have enjoyed six vacations to SC, the last three in Surfside with our two boys. We enjoy Surfside much over Myrtle Beach because it's away from all the hustle and bustle. The house was in excellent condition, very clean, homey, and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. Ammentities were exactly as listed, and just a few steps away from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean! Joe was very easy and helpful to work with, even on very short notice (thanks, Joe). Definitely will consider renting this place again in the future. Also recommend a short drive to Murrell's Inlet for excellent fresh seafood at Drunken Jack's. Tons of other great open air restaurants to choose from as well, all linked together by a boardwalk. Fun times!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We have been renting this home for the past three years and are scheduled again for next year. The accommodations are excellent with the 5 bedrooms and 4 baths it is the perfect fit for our group. It is accessible to all the attractions of Myrtle Beach and yet located in a quite location only a block from the beach. There are new amenities each year which adds to the expectation that each of us has as we look forward to the next year. The owner keep the place in excellent condition form the grounds to the inside. Great person to rent from.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We vacationed the week of April 21st to the 28th 2012 and had a great time. The house is super clean and tastefully decorated with a tropical theme. We went on a few power walks to compare rentals in the area and this home proved to be a quality vacation home............close to the beach , a great in ground clean pool well maintained and updated and at a fantastic rate. lf you like to shop, golf, sunbathe, swim, explore wonderful Southern towns, gardens and eat seafood, Mexican , ltalian........ this makes for a great place to wake up to in the morning. Will be back for a 3rd time in 2013!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
