Emerald Bay II - A great, well-maintained home steps from the beach in Surfside Beach. The house is located on the north end of Surfside, a very nice street in Surfside. The house is 6 years old, very clean, with a good-sized pool. We keep it meticulously clean, are continuing to add nice amenities to the house. There are 6 TVs, 2 with DVD players. We also have free wireless throughout the house. There is a beautiful cherry hardwood floor in the living area, new paint each year, and an electronic door lock to minimize the possibility of key loss. We also have a charcoal grill, outdoor seating and lounge area on the elevated 1st floor lanai. The interior is painted each year, and touched up throughout the summer to ensure it remains VERY CLEAN with updated amenities.
This is one of the few properties in Surfside with 5 bedrooms, so including extended family in your vacation is another plus. The house is a duplex, in the pictures, it is the house on the right.
The beach, which is less than 100 yards from the front door is a guarded, public access beach; it is wide and clean, with no high-rises to crowd the beach. North Surfside is nice because it is close to the restaurants in the center of Surfside without the traffic on the streets. Your children can ride their bikes in the street or fish at the nearby lake.
There's plenty to do in the area. Surfside has a nice little downtown, with open-air restaurants, small shops, and a fishing pier. Just a few minutes away in Myrtle Beach is a boardwalk and amusement park, lots of restaurants, and shopping. The location of Surfside Beach is great if golf is part of your vacation. Surfside is about 20 minutes north Pawley's Island, and about 30 minutes south of North Myrtle Beach. There are over 100 golf courses within a 30 minutes drive.

Great Place, we were fortunate enough to have all our kids, grandkids and my mom all together that week that we stayed. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The house had everything that we needed to cook, with a well supplied kitchen. We had great weather and this was an excellent time to go, not to hot but warm enough to go to the beach everyday. The house was very clean and comfortable and close to the beach. We have our week scheduled for next year. Thanks Joe.

We had a family reunion at this home and had a great time. We were there late September. This is a very good time for families with small pre school children to enjoy all there is to do and the weather is very nice late spring and early summer there too. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We look forward to returning to Surfside and to this home in the future.

This house was perfect.It was clean, comfortable and just a short walk to beach.We hung out at the house instead of going out every night. The kitchen was very well stocked for family meals.Joe was great to work with and very quick to respond to any question.We enjoy to stay in Surfside where beaches are not crowded and traffic not busy. Hope to return to this house again next year.

This was our first stay in a beach house. Emerald Bay II was everything we wanted and more. The house was beautiful, comfortable and clean. We had an exceptional time and all agreed we would gladly stay here again. Thank you Joe for a wonderful family vacation.

We rented at the last minute, and Joe was on top of it. He was easily accessible and quick to respond (this included a minor issue with the house – which seemed to be dealt with before I hung up the phone). The house has all the necessities and was nicely furnished. It is so close to the beach. It was worth every penny and I can’t wait to go back!!

Great house! My husband, kids and I shared this with my brother and his family for a week and it was the best deal we've ever had in Surfside. We love the beaches and have so much fun at the pier, both hanging out and fishing. Great weather and the beach is never crowded and has a nice family atmosphere. The house was well supplied with kitchen items and the bedrooms were all good sizes for what we needed. The master bedroom shower was awesome and the second floor laundry was convenient. We reserved the house for next year!

Joe, Our family had a great time at the house, pool, and the beach. I live at the beach in Cali also. Really liked the laid bake area and just hanging out. The surfside beach is much nicer than the other areas from what I can see. All the bedrooms are very nice. Was a little surprised that the house was connected to another house. But that was no problem at all. Really liked how you were on top of things and always answered my questions at any time. This was my first time renting a house via VRBO, and was pleased how easy it was.

Emerald Bay is a true gem. We were pleasantly surprised by so many understated aspects of this vacation rental. The property and all amenities were modern and up to date. The bedroom set up was perfect for our group (which included seniors, a baby and 3 toddlers) and the living room, dining area, and kitchen were spacious--perfect for big families like ours! The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans as well as kitchen cooking utensils, plates, and glasses (not always a given at beach rentals). We immediately apprectiate the SHORT walk to the beach. If I jogged, I could get there in less than a minute. This was a blessing for young and old in our group :) It is also a short walk or drive to other attractions should you want a break from the beach. We visited the arcade a few times with the kids in mid-day to escape the sun and played mini-golf several times at venues on Hwy 17. The husbands got some rounds of golf in at Indian Wells an award winning golf course which is just a 5 min drive away. We highly recommend this beach house and will make it our vacation destination in years to come.

The house and grounds were clean and well-maintained. We had a wonderful family vacation here. Myrtle Beach shopping and attractions just a short drive away. Resturants and grocery store are close by - just a golf cart ride away. The listing description and photos accurately reflect home. The owner was great to work with. He even called the day of arrival to make sure everything was in great condition. Wonderful experience!! I would definetly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.
