This professionally decorated, and fully furnished home is located on beautiful Binder Lake in a secluded location at the top of a hill, surrounded by the Nicolet National Forest. The full log home is truly one-of-a-kind. When you enter the door, you'll find a magnificent natural rock fireplace that defines the first floor living area. The great room on the main level is magnificent, with full log beams, a log staircase, and log railings. The leather couches seat 8-8 people comfortably, allowing all your guests to sit and enjoy the fire, or watch the wildlife out on the lake. The home is beautifully decorated with warm pieces that compliment the natural feel of the home. There is a giant moose head that greets you while you sit in the great room, and a bear carved from wood is housed in the rock fireplace. The French doors in the great room and master bedroom allow you to enjoy the view of the lake, and open up to a wrap-around deck with a view of the entire lake and all its surrounding beauty. Enjoy a barbeque on the deck with the provided gas/charcoal grill, listening to the loons and other wildlife.
Also on the main floor is a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, a built-in grill, and the traditional amenities, including a microwave, range, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator and trash compactor. Not only can you enjoy your meal at the breakfast bar near the kitchen, but there is also a separate dining area that can seat 8 people comfortably. The home has four large bedrooms, one on the main living area, and three upstairs. The master bedroom has a large king bed. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a king bed, one has a queen bed, and the third bedroom houses custom-built bunk beds.
The lower level includes warm tongue and groove paneling with a large-screen television housed in a custom-built cabinet - great for those movie-nights on cold winter days. The lower level also contains a custom built wet bar, pool table, dartboard, and videogame area. Great for and relaxing after a long day in the sun,golfing,cross-country skiing or hunting.
The home is on 13 acres,surrounded by the Nicolet National Forest giving you access to over 100 miles of hiking and ATV trails. There is a private sandy beach with a pier for fishing, and children's play area complete with red wood play house, swing set and slide slide. The lake has excellent fishing. Use the boat,canoe or paddle boat provided to tour the lake, and take in all the wildlife. The home also has miles of private trails to hike, one of which leads to a screened-in gazebo that seats 8-10 people, that overlooks the lake from a secluded marsh loaded with wildlife. Outside the gazebo is a fire pit that you can enjoy at night, watching the stars and roasting marshmellows. Lakewood is a great small town, with unique shops and antiques stores,a championship 18 hole golf course,and other amenities that you can enjoy.
