Absolutely best upper west side location. 1 block to subway and central park. 1 block to dozens of great places to eat, drink, etc....Excellent location in NY for families with kids. Studio itself is a bit tight for family of 4. Ground floor location has pros and cons. Pros: easy quick access in and out of the building. No neighbors below or on sides. Cons: Neighbors upstairs, not noisy but you can hear them walking around, sometimes all night long. Studio could use some updating and maintenance. Slow draining in tub and sinks. Garbage cans right outside your window. Old drafty windows. Overall, good experience. Responsive owner and great neighborhood

Very nice studio apartment 1 block from Central Park and subway entrance. Met by owner and given a quick lesson in getting around New York, places to visit, etc. Also guidebooks, restaurant menus and other helpful material supplied in the apartment. Very quiet and safe neighborhood, we were never disturbed or felt any unease. Super easy to get anywhere via subway, 1 blk from ACE, 3 blks from 123, 5 stops from Times Square. Apartment is on ground floor, nice queen bed, wood floors, kitchen and bathroom were fine for our 5 day stay. Bigger than most hotel rooms you would have to pay twice the price or more to get. Typical New York neighborhood restaurants and shops on Columbus Avenue at the end of the block, you can get anything you need including full service grocery store within a few short blocks. Would definitely recommend to the budget conscious New York vacationer, especially if you have been to the city before and are comfortable getting around Manhattan on public transportation.

Loved every minute of our stay at this oh so comfortable Upper West Side studio! Nina thought of everything...cable TV, WIFI, air-mattress, etc. Very clean! We lived like typical New Yorkers for our 4-day stay. And what can you say about the location? Perfect!

The location was superb so I didn't have high hopes coming into it about the size of the actual apartment, but I was blown away with the apartment. It was neat and clean and set up perfectly for our arrival. I loved feeling like a local for our stay. It would comfortably sleep four, so the two of us travelling had plenty of room for our bags even when the air mattress was set up. The street is beautiful and quiet. The owner had all the information we needed, right at our fingertips (books, menus, tips on places to go and things to see, discounts, etc.). I would stay here again next time I'm in Manhattan and will definitely recommend it to anyone I know who wants to stay near Central Park (a half a block away!!!) and all the museums. Everything I wanted to do was just a short walk away. We even walked to Times Square from here as well and felt really safe in this area. SO WORTH IT!

Great location near Central Park. The studio was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location made it very easy to hop on the subway and travel all over NYC. The neighborhood is very quiet and we felt safe coming home from the theater late at night. Nina, and her greeter were very accommodating. We would recommend the apartment to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in the upper west side of NYC.
Owner response:Thanks Mike and Judy! Glad you had a great stay and please come again- we'd be happy to have you anytime :)

My friend Kelly and I stayed for 4 days in October. The place was super clean, and everything was well thought out, with plenty of maps, menus etc! We had such a good time, Im considering booking another trip this fall and stay at Nina's again! Such a great location, close to the Subway, the Park etc. Everything within great walking distance. Couldn't have had a better time! One of the best values for your money!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Nina's condo, and it was everything that was advertised, plus more. Once my confirmation was sent Nina provided me with plenty of information from how to get to/from the airport, places to go, area landmarks, local shopping, etc. The list was very valuable, and we frequented many of the recommended places, and enjoyed them all. The condo was charming and provided everything. Our needs were well met. It was so nice to hop on the subway, or walk the area, and have a home to come to. Central Park was so close, I couldn't believe it. This was my 3rd time in New York, and I will never go back to a hotel. Nina, you are fantastic, and if you are ever in San Diego I hope you get in touch with us.
Owner response:Thanks, Jo-Ann! Glad you had a great time- thanks for the great review- and I hope to get out to beautiful San Diego so I can say hello!

Stayed at Nina's place so we could attend the Andrea Bocelli Concert in Central Park. The Concert was great, but it was awesome to be "back home" before many people even figured out how to get out of Central Park! Excellent location, committed owner and just right accommodations. We were very happy we stayed here. Thanks again Nina!
Owner response:Thanks Chris- so glad we could accommodate you! Come again :)

We just stayed 5 nights at Nina's studio apartment and loved every minute of it. We are a family of 4 with two teenage boys. I looked all over VRBO to find the perfect location with a reasonable price and we got it with this apartment. The location is literally down the street from the subway and a block from a ton of restaurants and a couple grocery stores. Two blocks over and you have even more of a selection of restaurants. And Central Park really is right there!! We spent all day sightseeing and going to shows - so we were out late every night, but we never felt unsafe walking back "home". The building is so quiet and we rarely ever heard the neighbors go in or out. Renting here was a million times better than a hotel room - bigger, better, more comfortable, great little kitchen, super comfortable. We will definitely stay here again! Nina was so helpful too! Thanks for making our New York City vacation so amazing!!
Owner response:Thanks Jennifer- I'm so glad you and your family had a great NYC stay. We are happy you loved it as much as we do! Please do come again.

We booked with Nina in November, but had to cancel in March due to a family conflict. Nina was prompt and courteous when we booked and quickly sent us our refund. We wish we could have stayed with Nina for our 2011 visit but will definitely check back with her the next time we need a rental in the city.
Owner response:Hope your DC trip was great ! Come back to NY and stay with us any time :)

We spent 4 days walking to nearly every place we wanted to visit. Nina was extremely friendly and accommodating and the apartment is very comfortable. Anything you could possibly need is located within a block or two including a number of great places to eat. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. We will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to all of our friends! Thanks so much Nina for everything and we hope to see you in California soon!!
Owner response:Thanks Penny! We're so happy you had a great time. Hope to have you and/or any of your friends stay with us in the future. Can't wait to come out to CA- we love it there too :)

Great place! Quiet, safe, convenient, and clean. Wonderful to come back this neighbourhood after all the "busy-ness"" of the city. Can walk to Central Park, the MET and American Museum of Natural History. Close to subways which are a cheap and easy way to get around. ( You can buy a one week unlimited transit pass for $27.00.) Lots of places to eat and get coffee close by. Nina's assistant, Laura, met us as planned and was helpful. Lots of guidebooks. Would definitely stay here again, and have recommended it to others.
Owner response:Glad you had a good time! Do come back again- we'd love to have you :)

Living like a New Yorker! Fantastic location in the Upper West Side. Close to all amenities and Central Park is right there! Very safe to walk home late at night. Nina gave us great information about the neighbourhood, including where to get our laundry done before we came home! Will stay here again and recommend it to friends!
Owner response:So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Come again!

We stayed here for several nights in July, and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, and so is the apt. It was wonderfully accommodating for my husband, my dog, and myself. The little touches (wonderful bed linens, plush towels, assorted DVD's, travel guides) made for a comfortable stay, and we'll definitely rent again!
Owner response:thank you! We'd be happy to have you back anytime!
