Absolutely Perfect!!!

My fiancee and I stayed in this lovely apartment in the 16th for 2 weeks during the Christmas/New Year holidays. We found the apartment to be lovely and the owner to be professional, courteous and accommodating. The owner speaks perfect English so nothing got lost in translation. The apartment is located on a quiet cul-de-sac so a great place to come back to after a day of visiting museums or shopping in Le Marais. You will get to know the boulanger, boucherie, cave a vin, fleuriste. It is a block from the Metro and easy walking to the shops on Rue Passy and Eiffel Tower. There is a Velib stand just down the street if you want to rent a bicycle for a day and brave the traffic (we did, and it was one of our best days). The owner will greet you with a folder complete with recommended restaurants, grocery stores, even which tv cable channels are in English. His recommendation of a restaurant called Le Brandevin impressed even our Parisian friends who joined us for dinner one evening. The apartment itself is comfortable, clean, well appointed, including washer/dryer, dishwasher, plates, utensils, cookware. The bathroom is modern with a lovely waterfall shower. And the bed....the bed! Comfortable enough for 2 Americans used to their Tempurpedic mattress at home. My fiancee and I confidently recommend this apartment to anyone whether it's your first trip to Paris or you're an expatriate-in-training and looking for a quiet retreat in a beautiful, upscale neighborhood. Five stars!!!!!

Wonderful Place to Stay in Paris!!

What a find! This apartment was perfect for our five lovely days in Paris in late September. The apartment is very comfortable -- has lots of light; simple, clean, tasteful decor; with all the conveniences in the kitchen if you like to eat in.The neighborhood is wonderful. Quiet, but at the same time active -- an upper scale Parisian area with the shops just out the door that allowed you to just blend into the day to day life of Paris. We did indoor picnics frequently with wine, fruit, cheese, oh, and the bakery items!! At the same time, the metro is just down the street for quick access to the sights and higher energy venues in the city. Thomas was wonderful in the coordination of booking and particularly on-site. He and his young family live in the building and could not have been more accommodating. I strongly recommend this property -- and I hope the "secret" doesn't get out so much that I have a problem booking in the future.

Wonderful apartment in the 16th Arrondissement

The stay at this 1 bed 1 bath apartment was amazing, from the time our taxi pulled up at the curb to the time we got into another taxi and drove away. The maintenance was fabulous. There was a binder on how everything worked and all the details. The apartment was located in a small Parisian area where there was a fish, cheese, and wine market along with 2 bakeries. You could also get anywhere in Paris from Jasmin or Ranelagh metro stations which were only 1 block to Jasmin, and 2 blocks to Ranelagh. The owner was amazing in answering every question or request. Up the street a little there were 2 great restaurants: La Gare and something around the name of La Muette. The listing photos were almost exactly the same as the actual place. Overall it was a joy to stay there and would definitely recommend it to family and friends. We would definitely stay there again if we were to go back to Paris. We definitely had one of the best apartments there is.

My wife and I spent ten days here in late May and early June 2010. The building was constructed in 1931. It is has remained in the family; currently the fourth and fifth generation live there. Their commitment shows. When we arrived our son and I were floundering with the code at the entrance when the concierge emerged to check us out and then to help us. Their dog barked at us the first time we came in, but once they knew we were not intruders, did so no more. Thomas was helpful, friendly and available throughout our stay, without being intrusive. It was unusual to have a host who knew the area, is attuned to the culture, and who appreciates Inspector Clouseau. We had booked the apartment for two, then when our plans changed to include our son for the two nights, Thomas made sure the apartment was set up for us. He did so cheerfully; it was clear he wanted our stay be be a success. The apartment had excellent natural light and pleasant cross ventilation. The small entryway creates fine separation. My wife could not hear me in the bedroom while I was banging around in the kitchen. The bedroom had cavernous closet space and shelving. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was elegant and functional. The kitchen had been recently upgraded. Everything worked nicely. It had the typical puny washer/dryer combination, which was quieter and more efficient than most. The apartment was quiet and comfortable. It felt safe. It was a great base for exploring, and also cozy on the several days we just wanted to relax, read and watch the passing street scene. The neighborhood was not at all “touristy.” The only English we heard spoken on the street was our own. We definitely hope to return to the apartment and the neighborhood.

Another Lovely Stay in a Beautiful Apartment!

Date of Stay: 10/23/10 Review Submitted: 11/24/10

Dear Thomas: Thank you so much for another wonderful stay at your lovely apartment. It is always great to visit Paris, but having the chance to really live in a beautiful Parisian apartment in one of the greatest neighborhoods in Paris (even if it is for a short while) makes the experience even greater. The apartment is located in the exclusive 16th district and its location is just perfect – everything is within walking distance (restaurants, patisseries, supermarkets, pharmacies, bank, etc.) and it is a great treat to be so close to the Passy neighborhood! The great bus lines and the proximity to metro stops (just a few minutes walk) make the apartment an ideal starting point to explore all the wonderful things Paris has to offer. Nowhere is beyond an easy reach from this great apartment. A definite plus is that the apartment is located in a private drive way so it is very quiet in the evenings in case you need a very restful sleep after a hectic day of sightseeing or shopping in Paris. The apartment has all the 5-star amenities one can think of and is spotless clean – Thomas and his staff has thought of everything right down to the very small details so that all of his guests can have a very comfortable and luxurious stay – there were candles, blankets, bed linens, towels, glassware, dishes galore, hair dryer, ironing board, etc. all top quality and in excellent / clean condition. The combination washer / dryer in the kitchen worked very nicely. The apartment is also very beautifully furnished with functional, unique and comfortable furniture. My family and I felt right at home – in fact, the apartment was so comfortable that we actually had to force ourselves to leave the apartment. Last, but not least – Thomas is a great host – so welcoming, thoughtful and kind. From the time we contacted him to reserve the apartment until the time we left Paris, he was always available to answer any questions we had. Thomas’ personal mission is to ensure that all of his guests leave Paris with only beautiful and wonderful memories and we did, with every stay in his lovely apartment. Thank you so much, as always, for such an amazing stay in Paris. We were guests in a very privileged setting and cannot think of anywhere else we would stay when we visit Paris! We will definitely return! The Kim Family

I am only back from Paris a couple of days but it already feels like a lifetime. I want to thank you for a lovely stay both in terms of the apartment and your kindness. It was an enchanting stay. Anyone desiring an authentic Parisian experience ought stay here! First of all, the apartment is wonderfully attractive and well set up for a more than comfortable stay. Secondly, I like the size of the apartment which is quite large with good storage space. And thirdly but not unimportantly, it is light and airy. Something that cannot be said for many rentals in Paris. Also, although I have been going to Paris for 30 years I was not really familiar with the 16th arr. It turns out that it is the perfect neighborhood for a really peaceful and convenient stay. There are good restaurants, food stores (the tarte citron at Eric Kayser is beyond imagination), Jasmin metro and a taxi stand just around the corner. Wandering about this neighborhood was a delight -- the architecture is incredible -- including the Guimard buildings at 122 avenue Mozart and on rue de la Fontaine. Plus rue Mallet-Stevens just a few streets away. I cannot wait to return to 4 Villa Mozart.

Great apartment on Mozart Avenue!!!

Date of Stay: 10/09/10 Review Submitted: 10/12/10

My husband and I just arrived home from our first trip to Paris. It was a dream get away. Paris is spectacular! We had the opportunity to rent an apartment from Thomas on Mozart Avenue, half a block from the Jasmin metro stop (makes for easy access to anywhere you want to go or see- you don't need a car). It was like having a piece of home away from home, very comfortable with a relaxing place to end your journey after full days of exploring the city. The sitting room has a comfortable couch and a flat screen T.V if you need to unwind and chill out. Thomas ( the owner) was so helpful and accommodating to us, he gave us wonderful tips and was always available should we have a question. The apartment was very clean, incredibly spacious and well decorated with modern features. We wanted to share how great our accommodations were so we hosted our friends who were also in Paris for pre-dinner cocktails. They were amazed at how great this place was. The kitchen is bright and has a full fridge, stove, microwave and even a coffee/espresso/tea machine to get you going in the mornings. The bathroom is spacious, clean and modern. The bedroom was comfortable and plenty of room to unpack and hang your clothes as well as all the great buys you will be tempted with. The neighborhood is safe and lined with restaurants and stores. Easily accessible is the bakery and convenience store, wonderful people working there, so friendly! My husband and I kept getting little gifts from the owners, candies here or pastries there. All in all it was much better to have rented this apartment then stay in a hotel, it was well worth it. I would highly recommend this apartment and look forward to booking it in the future! 5 out of 5 stars!!!

This apartment is in a wonderful neighborhood, away from some of the more touristy areas. The feel is real Parisian living. Within walking distance there is good shopping, wonderful restaurants, and the Bois de Bologne with Roland Garros - great for attending the French Open. The apartment is lovely, redone with all the conveniences, and even a large shower - usually very hard to find. The owner lives in the building which is a plus, as he is very helpful with orientation to the apartment and the neighborhood as well as with restaurant recommendations, etc. Our family of 3 adults stayed comfortably. We hope to return for another stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful week long stay at this beautiful apartment in September. The apartment is even nicer than it looks in the pictures due to a recent remodeling. We especially enjoyed the very well-equipped kitchen and the attractive and modern bathroom fixtures. The towels were very plush and large. The bed is very comfortable and there is a terrific cabinet with ample space for all your clothes, including handy pull out trouser hangers and enough wooden clothes hangers for a very large wardrobe. The washer/dryer combination worked great. We finished drying heavy items like jeans on a fold up drying rack provided. The apartment is on the 4th floor (European), but there is an elevator at your disposal. Thomas gave us a very nice welcome with chocolates and a guide to our new neighborhood for the week. Speaking of which, you are less than a 5 minute walk to the Jasmin metro station (line 9) which connects to many other metro and train lines in Paris. There is a boulangerie about 2 minutes away (Eric Kayser), a reasonably priced wine/liquor store near the metro station, and a small grocery store just as close. The street is very quiet and felt very safe at all hours of the day and night. The apartment building is very secure and just beautiful with its ironwork balconies. Thomas provided midweek cleaning at no extra charge as well as dishwasher and washing machine soap. We can't wait to come back some day.
