Costa Rica is Hawaii with out the plane ride or the over priced accommodations. Our condo sets right on the beach with a full view of the ocean and the mountains from the roof top terrace. It has 5 star amenities with granite counters, tile floors, stainless steel appliances, teak wood doors and trim and two terraces with ocean/pool views. The pool is an Olympic size with many lounge chairs all around it.
A five minute walk down the beach to town where you'll find some of the best restaurants and shopping you've ever seen. The weather is always warm, 90 degree days and 70 degree nights so you don't need to pack any warm clothes. Even though it's warm we rarely use our AC at night because of the cool ocean breeze. If you want to learn how to surf, Jaco is the place with a gentle 4-6 foot surf and 85 degree water. We love sunsets when we can watch the surfers and enjoy a cocktail from our 4th floor deck.
We walk everywhere we go and bring our kids so the town is very safe. Just south of our condo is Miros Mountain which we walk to then walk up to see the monkeys, poison frogs, macaws and toucans. This is the most relaxing place you'll ever go to but if you want excitement try the zip lining through the rain forest or the deep sea fishing rated the best in the world. There is a beautiful golf course down by the marina as well as and casinos in town.
Our favorite restaurant is Villa Colleta, a 15 minute cab ride to the top of a mountain over looking the most amazing view of the ocean and islands in the bay. Please check out the website at daystar-properties to see more pictures and details about this property but don't book it there or you'll pay as much as $200 more per night! The plane ride is about 6 hours and there are many flights to choose from and prices ranging from $200-$500 depending on the time of year. We will arrange transportation for you from San Jose Airport or you can rent a car. There is a brand new highway which is about 1/2 completed with the rest to be done by end of 2009. Please come and stay at our place, you'll be back for years to come.

My wife and I have traveled ever since we got married 17 years ago. We've been to Hawaii, Bora Bora, St Lucia, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Cozumel, The Bahamas, Grand Caymon, Jamaica, Florida several times and nothing compares to Costa Rica. The people, the climate, the wildlife, the surf, the food, the fishing--its all phenomenal--in a setting that's like a small town. Jaco is rated the best beach in Costa Rica and you can walk from end to end in under an hour. Please come down and experience the most relaxing place in the world with some of the most exciting excursions (the crocodile tour, white water rafting, deep sea fishing) you'll ever see.
