This is the second time my family has stayed at Ravenwood, and we cannot say enough good things about it. The house is roomy (yet cozy), clean, and absolutely beautiful. We made good use of the outdoor attractions nearby (the Tonto Bridge in particular), but spent most of the time enjoying the house and warming ourselves in front of the fireplace. Pine is a wonderful little town, quiet and sedate. You can get basic goods at the general store, or grab lunch at the Rimside Grill or Nifty 50's diner, but if you need something more, Payson is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. We're already planning on coming back this summer to beat the heat. We recommend it highly.

We stayed four nights here for a perfect New Years getaway with our son and the (gulp) in-laws. We are seasoned pros at staying at vacation rentals and have to say this one is among the top we have rented. The house is beautifully maintained and definitely beats the listing's description. It is situated in a very pleasant neighborhood, accessible to most amenities, but is isolated enough to feel a sense of privacy and being surrounded by the forest. The owners have the house stocked with books, games, movies, and information about the area; really everything we would have wanted but didn't have room to bring was there. We highly recommend a stay at Ravenwood, especially if you have multiple couples or are a large family. We'll definitely be back!

We take time out every December to go away with our two adult sons and there wives and have rented several places in northern Arizona. This was by far the best and had plenty of room for all six of us and a new Grand baby. The view from the dinning room with all the windows was great. The outdoor decks are very inviting and a nice place to relax. I would recommend this place highly and the owners made you feel like you walked into a 5 star resort.

You couldn't ask for anything more in this beautiful home. It is beautifully designed, spacious, has every amenity you can think of, immaculately clean, and you could live on the back deck, because the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. The home is truly a gem, and you will love your stay.

My wife and 3 kids arrived on a Friday afternoon, and by the time we left on Monday morning the only thing we had discovered negative about this home is that we don't live there year round! The home itself is very clean, with spacious rooms and wood everywhere you look. Large front and back decks give you ample opportunity to stretch out and enjoy the pine trees. There's a grill out back to cook some steaks, multiple bird feeders around the house, and even a hammock to relax in. Indoors a large kitchen area makes meal prep a breeze, with any kind of utensils, dishes, pots, pans, etc. you might need. A small bar area is next to the TV/living room, which has games, puzzles, and a DVD collection with a good variety of movies. The two bathrooms are great, and there's even a small back room with a couple of couches and a stereo that gives you a bit of privacy if you want it. (In the closet off this room is a telescope to take advantage of the clear night skies.) Located just outside of Pine and 15 minutes from Payson, if there's anything you forgot to bring, it won't take you long to go out and get it. We plan on coming back as often as possible!

My husband and I stayed here the first weekend in May. It was early in the season and very quiet, which is just what we needed. Being vacation rental owners, ourselves, we needed to uncross our eyes and rest, rest , rest. We found it here in this upscale, very comfortable, spacious home. The only thing we needed was what we brought: our clothes and our food. Pine is an area that is often bypassed by vacationers wanting to be entertained by numerous sights and happenings. But there are things to do in the general area if you like the great outdoors. This place would be perfect for family reunions, girlfriend retreats, and weary business people wanting to rest and live the simple life for a few days. We loved it!

The Ravenwood home is everything we excepted and more.. We had plenty of fun animal friends to view, plenty of room for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, well stocked kitchen. We will be coming back to the The Ravenwood home to make more great family memories. Thank you Alexandra and Ken for opening your home to us... Sending many blessing to you and your family.. This rental is a wonderful quiet retreat in a very nice little town just below the Mogollon Rim north of Payson. There are several hikes locally and a wide variety of hikes within an hour to an hour and a half driving -- from desert canyon hikes down near Camp Verde to high mountain hikes near Flagstaff. The only problem is it's hard to leave this house to go hiking. The decks are wonderful and there are birds everywhere. The setting is quite private and there is no traffic noise which we really really loved. The house itself is very comfortable and exceptionally homelike. There is a big kitchen with every amenity you could want and the bathrooms are lovely. Lots of windows which open so you get breezes, wooden floors and high ceilings with a big fieldstone fireplace make the ambiance decidedly upscale.

The pictures on the website helped us make the choice to stay here but when we walked in the door - WOW! It was bigger and nicer than we ever expected. We had been mistakenly referring to Ravenwood as a “cabin” before we arrived. This is a HOME and it is beautiful. While you are there, I highly recommend a visit to Tonto Natural Bridge. It was truly a wonderful sight with some nice hiking opportunities. It was a wonderful getaway for us and exactly what we hoped for. The week went by way too quickly - always the sign of having a great time. We left relaxed and recharged; reluctantly ready to get back to the daily grind.

Ravenwood is a beautiful, secluded, and tranquil location! I felt as thought I was staying in a home, rather than in a rental property. Alexandra and Ken make their home so welcoming to the guests. They are also very responsive to any requests from the guests. I was joined during part of my stay by my two daughers, their husbands, and three grandchildren, ranging in age from 3 to 7. We all enjoyed the many games, books, and movies that were available in the home.. We also did some hiking in the area, and especially enjoyed the beauty of the Tonto Natural Bridge as well as swimming in the river/creekbed along the Houston-Mesa Road near Payson. We found the Pine Library to be a very freindly and welcoming place too. The cool weather in Pine, as compared to the Phoenix area, was also a delight. I would certainly recommend this home as a place for a special vacation!

What a fantastic location. We had a great time at this cabin. Close to Payson for shopping and restaurants. Close to several good fishing spots. The cabin is beautiful inside and out with everything you need to make it home for a weekend or a week.

With our daughter getting married in Payson, we had a house full of guests and needed extra accomodations. This home was perfect for a family of 5 adults. It is beautifully decorated, has all the comforts of home, and is in a beautiful location. The owners were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

Our stay at Ravenwood was great! Plenty of room for two couples and ten days. The decks, the fireplace, the bird feeders and teh open living area - just beautiful. And thanks so much for having those small items available that we didn't think to bring from home. We will keep Ravenwood in mind should we head back there, thank you! We had the opportunity to stay at Ravenwood for the week of October 10-17, 2009. The wildlife seen from the house was amazing. Birds, ravens, deer, elk, and even a little "pig". The house had all the comforts of home. Add food, people, and that is all you need. We left vacation refreshed and renewed ready to return to life's responsibilities. Ravenwood is definately God's home on earth! We will be back as soon as possible!

We had the opportunity to stay in this great vacation home over the 4th of July weekend. Our family enjoyed everything about our stay. We had all of the amenities that you would have in your own home and the peace of the pines to enjoy it all! Our two young children really enjoyed the bird watching, dvd selection and most of all, the "Bug Zapper", but that is what you get with boys. We will return again!

Snadra and Ken; We love your place up in Pine. It is so quiet and peaceful. The views from the Mogollon Rim around the area are beautiful. You have all the amenities of home at your cabin. I have always felt comfortable there. The weather is much cooler than Phoenix, which is certainly welcome in the summer. I would recommend your rental home to anyone looking for a super nice place to stay up in Pine. Thanks again for having us. Sincerely; Pam and Chuck Yount
