Curl up to a book on the futon couch next to the gas fired potbelly stove. Cook up a hearty meal in the complete kitchen and soak in the oversized tub after a day of exploring the trails of Moran State Park and Mt. Constitution.
The Orcas Sherpa Cabin offers visitors all they need to wind down from the stress of the day in a small, simple and complete living space. Conceived with the rustic one room hunting cabin in mind, Orcas Sherpa Cabin improves on this time tested design with modern conveniences in a well laid out and functional all wood structure. Fir floors, knotty pine walls and ceilings, poplar cabinetry, wood wrapped windows, cedar siding and the green metal roof provide warmth and privacy and remind you of Grandpa’s cabin of a bygone era.
Recently a second smaller "bedroom" cabin has been added right out back-a covered walkway connects the two cabins. Bedroom cabin has a queen bed, full size crib and dresser. Also recently added is an outdoor play structure for the wee ones right off the back deck and patio.

Perfect Winter Retreat

The cabin was the perfect place to spend a few days during winter break for our family. Everyone in the family found their own spot to relax in (including our lab), yet we were all still near enough to converse. Mornings and afternoons were spent exploring the island and hiking in Moran State Park. Evenings the cabin was the perfect place to relax around the gas stove. The bedroom cabin offered a beautiful view of the water in the morning. The owners were easy to work with and our deposit was returned in a timely manner. Our only complaint was that it would have been nice to have known we needed to bring our own linens before making the reservations.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our days (and nights) at your cabin were perfect! It really did exceed our expectations - such a wonderful environment for your guests. It's a very quiet, private location with great views, and the cabin itself is clean, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. Thanks so much... hopefully we will return for a few days next Spring!
