  Description of unit was accurate and photos accurately reflected its appearance and amenities. Unit was clean and well maintained. Nicely furnished - comfortable bed, attractive modern bathrooms, big leather sleeper sofa. Owner was helpful in answering questions. Would recommend this unit for 2 adults. It is conveniently located - close to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum and the Daytona Speedway as well as numerous restaurants in the area or a short drive on International Speedway Blvd. to Cracker Barrel, Outback, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Panera Bread, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Bob Evans. Great view from the private balcony of the beach and Atlantic Ocean and the Ocean Jewel's nice pool - nice chairs and table supplied. Great place to relax - very quiet.

  We arrived on a Sunday to a clean and comfortable condo. The air condition was already on and due to warm nature in Florida was very refreshing. The condo contained everything i needed in the kitchen all i needed was to get groceries. The decorative theme is the condo made us feel right at home and it appeared that the 1/2 bath had recently been remolded and had a very unique look to it. We have a family of 5 and it accommodated us very well. We are very excited to stay here again next year.

  the condo was just like the pics showed. This place was all that you needed.. the view of the pool and the ocean right from your balcony.. the place was great and I couldnt of asked for a better place to spend a week in Daytona Beach. thanks Nicole..

  Very Nice Condo and the location is perfect for things to do in Daytona. A walk away from the pier and everything you would need. The Condo is decorated very tastefully and is probably one of the nicer units in the complex. For the price you cannot go wrong. The balcony is right over the middle of the pool and the ocean view was perfect. The owners (Nicole and Ron) have the condo stocked with anything that you would need. We had a few minor issues that Nicole responded to very quickly during our stay. You cannot really go wrong at this price for everything you are getting. Well kept secret and if we come back to Daytona we would have no problem in renting from Nicole again.

  We had a wonderful stay. It was great to have two bathrooms. The condo was clean and well furnished. The view was amazing and the pool area was very well maintained. Very quiet complex and the bedroom is dark with shades pulled and cold! Which I love for a nap after a fun day on the beach.

  This was exactly what we expected! From the beginning of looking for a place to stay, to the additional pictures of the condo I requested, to the prompt return of the security deposit at the end of the week, Nicole and Doug were awesome to deal with. The condo is exactly what is pictured and was almost like being at home. It was obvious that they have tried to predict what vacationers will need and supply it, right down to beach toys and umbrellas! Nicole and Doug were available prior to our trip and even checked in to make sure everything was ok after we got there. Originally, I had some concerns based on a prior evaluation but realize that you can't make everyone happy all the time. My decision to stay here was based on the ease of dealing with them prior to picking a place, the location and price. We were not disappointed. The building is an older place but everything was in working order. The condo appeared to have been recently renovated and updated. We shut the air conditining off and opened the door to the balcony to let the ocean breeze blow in. That's why we stayed on the ocean in the first place! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room in the condo for the two of us. It was definately better than staying in a hotel and probably cheaper too! Only two minor things with the condo that I noticed. There is no automatic dish washer so everything has to be washed and dried by hand. Definately not a deal breaker for us! And the wireless interernet couldn't be accessed. There was an ethernet cable provided so I connected the "old fashion way" and had no problems. Everything else I had no complaints about. I highly recommend anyone staying in the Daytona Beach area to stay here. The building and beach are quiet and clean. I feel Nicole and Doug are good people and honestly try hard to help people enjoy their stay. The next time I come back to Daytona Beach, this will be the first place I look to stay. Thanks again for helping us have a great and relaxing vacation!!!

  We just loved it and have booked it again for next year. Beautiful condo that has everything to make your stay just like home. Clean and well stocked with all your everyday needs. Was just like pictures. Best view in Daytona and close to everything. Thanks so much Nicole and Doug.

  The unit was not clean at all! We walked into a "foul" smelling unit. The first 3 hours of our vacation was spent locating a store where we could purchase cleaning items and air freshners to some how mask the smell. NOT AT ALL WHAT WE EXPECTED to begin our vacation. The first day always sets the tone!! I called the property manager and she told me I would need to talk with the owner. Called the owner and got voicemail. We wanted to just leave..but where do we go? Other places were booked solid! The unit is decorated as you see in the ad. But it is deceiving. There are two full bathrooms but only one sink which was in the master. The restrooms were filthy. The bath rugs looked like they have never been washed. The toilets were not clean. The tubs are just beyond words! They are very old. It looked like they had been re-surfaced several times. They were actually peeling! And the shower heads were just as old. We stayed for a week and couldn't even take a relaxing bath. This is an old property that needs alot of improvement. The location is on the quiet end of the beach. I wanted to post our experience so people would be aware of what they are about to rent. Also note, when I finally spoke witht he the owner the next morning, she was not very comforting at all! She was very rude and told me there was nothing she could do about it when I expressed what we walked into on the first day of our vacation. Her tone only changed when I told her I took photos. I wanted her to know that she is trusting someone to take care of her unit who is NOT!! I would not recommend this unit to friends or family. I hope this information will help you in making a decision.

  Owner response: We value the experience of each of our guests. We realize now that not everyone can be pleased. The vast majority of our guests book with us to obtain an excellent value. This is evident in our reviews. An extreme minority, however, come with the expectations of a five-star hotal at below-market prices. Our numerous conversations with this one guest indicated early on that her expectations would not be met - by anyone. The photos sent actually showed nothing wrong and - while not agreeing with the laundry list of complaints from this one reviewer, we did offer a substantial refund because we felt bad about not being able to please this person - which was also scoffed at - but certainly accepted. The building was built in 1974 and the bathtubs have been re-surfaced, but are fully functional both for bathing and showering. We wanted to post this to make sure every guest could relate their views - please read this review along with all of the others - and then make a decision.

We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we have enjoyed our time there. Cancellation Policy: We understand that plans sometimes change; if your stay must be cancelled prior to sixty days before check-in, we will be happy to return all funds received. If you must cancel within forty-five days of check-in, half of all funds collected will be returned. No refund can be given for cancellations made within thirty days of original check-in date. If available may reschedule for another time. Early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. Important Information 1. CHECK-IN time is after 4PM, with CHECK-OUT time by 11AM. It is important to depart at the above time so that the room may be cleaned and readied for the next guest. Please call/txt Nicole at time of check out. 540-303-2827 or any time during your stay. 2. The gate at the beach front is key locked and key is inside the room The pools are private to the owners/guests of Ocean Jewels. 9. Minimum Stay: This property requires a four-night minimum stay. 10. Maximum Occupancy - The maximum number of guests permitted in this unit is four, unless agreed upon in advance and arrangements made a part of this agreement. 11. Security Deposit: Your security deposit will be returned to you after your stay, with the understanding that there are no damages, towels and sheets are left in the condo, and the other responsibilities listed in this agreement are met. The deposit will be sent back to you either via personal check or a credit via your credit card, whichever you prefer. The security deposit is not applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within fourteen days of scheduled departure, provided the following provisions are met. • No smoke detected in unit. • No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. • No other charges are incurred during the stay. Refrigerator is to be left clean and empty. • All trash must be emptied into one of the Ocean Jewels dumpsters. • Dishes must be washed and put away for the next guest. • Parking passes must be returned to their proper place. 12. Damages: Guest will be expected to pay for any damages to the unit, in excess of normal wear and tear. Payment: All funds must be received on or before the due date indicated on Page One. 13.
