Come and experience the fabulous views from our decks and pier. Truly the BEST views of the sunrise over the water! Our knotty-pine cottage is pleasingly located less than one mile from the famous INDIANA BEACH AMUSEMENT PARK!!
Stay and enjoy relaxing at the cottage and then riding roller coasters! Bring your golf clubs as the cottage is less than a half mile from the beautiful Tippecanoe Country Club and a mile from Pine View Golf Club.
Visit the Whyte Horse Winery and sip your wine on one of our two decks overlooking Lake Shafer.
Our cottage is perfect for children of all ages. We have two sets of bunk beds and a baby crib/ pack n' play available. We keep some toys on site and have several toddler and kid friendly movies.
The cottage has a comfortable full size bed and full size pull-out couch. There is a washer and dryer on site to help out with the kid's wet bathing suits and toweling.
Please feel free to use our fishing poles and make the most of our rafts and water accessories! Enjoy reading a book on our hammock or relaxing on one of our Adirondack chairs. Cook out on the large grill or drive less than a half mile to the Lake Shafer Yacht Club.
There is boat and jet ski rental located very close to the cottage or bring your own boat and launch it just down the road. There is a nice pier to dock your boat.
Fishing is ideal in our area and deep water swimming is located right off the dock. Sandy beach swimming is located at Indiana Beach Amusement Park.
WINTER RETREATS WELCOME TOO!! The lake is magnificent in the fall and winter. Fall colors are outstanding and nothing is prettier than the sun sparkling off of the icy lake in the winter.
Our large wood burning fire place is very comforting and relaxing. We decorate for Christmas, so the property is festive for the holidays.

Year Purchased: 2008
My husband grew up in Monticello and we decided to make it our home. We have two small children and enjoy raising them in a smaller community with all of the benefits of summer fun! Monticello has so much to offer even beyond Indiana Beach. Everyone is incredibly friendly in this area and there is so much to do in our town. I am originally from Indianapolis but Monticello has the activities of a large city, but the benefits of a small town.
Why the Owner Chose Monticello
Our cottage is so close to EVERYTHING! It is a short walk to the Tippecanoe County Club, and Indiana Beach is accessible via boat from Lake Shafer. Just down the road are wonderful lakeside dining opportunities and plenty of other restaurants within a mile radius of the cottage. It is convenient to grocery stores, banks, and downtown Monticello. We love Lake Shafer for it's lively energy and friendly boating atmosphere!
