Stay at this stunning Victorian apartment and experience London living in style, in a truly relaxed and beautiful London neighborhood. Tall ceilings, large rooms, huge windows, original art and excellent furniture make this an experience you will never forget. Housed in a stately Victorian villa, the wide, quiet street is full of trees and interesting architecture. It really is a friendly, upscale and safe part of town.

There are three comfortable queen-sized bedrooms, a grand living area and a modern, well-equipped kitchen. The bedrooms overlook a large garden at the rear that offers peace and birdsong. Suitable for families, couples, corporate travelers, visiting academics or those working in London on a short-term basis, the large amount of space and harmony gives visitors a true feel-good factor.

The apartment occupies one floor of this Victorian house, which is a pleasant 5-minute walk to the most convenient tube line, the Northern Line. The station is Tufnell Park in Zone Two, and it is a 10-minute direct journey (only seven stops) into the very center of London, with its West End theaters and all the must-see sights such as Big Ben, Westminster Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, the Princess Diana Memorial, Changing of the Guard, the National Gallery and much more!

The major transport hub of Kings Cross with its Eurostar trains direct to Paris in 2 hours is only three metro stops away and five minutes by taxi from the apartment.

Travel to and from airports is quick and easy with the Underground and train network, or reliable London cabs who know the city like the back of their hand. If you need a taxi to pick you up from the airport, this can be arranged and will be cheaper than catching one there.

The apartment, as well as being comfortable and relaxing, is also light and airy, with lots of natural daylight and light-wooden floors. Feel free to use the iPod-compatible sound system, the wireless high-speed internet and TV/DVD to relax with after a busy day sightseeing or working. Be sure to flick through the wide range of guide books. There is a large dining table, comfortable sofas and a modern kitchen with Bosch appliances. The powerful shower in the bathroom is very satisfying. All of the comfortable beds are Queen and double/full sizes and there is plenty of closet space and room to dress in.

Location, location, location is what this accommodation is all about, which is what attracted the wealthy merchants and entertainers to settle here in the 1800s, and now attracts many celebrities, actors, writers and politicians who are drawn to the peaceful, safe and leafy nature of the place – now designated as one of London’s prime Conservation Areas. Very nearby are shops, delicatessens, restaurants, great pubs and a cinema. Islington with its lively dining and bar scene and theaters, and Camden Town, one of London’s top tourist destinations, are both close by. Hampstead Heath, one of the largest urban parks in the world, is 15-minute walk away. Here one can see stunning panoramic views over the whole of London and visit the former stately country mansion Kenwood House, part-designed by Robert Adam and with paintings by Rembrandt and Vermeer.   • We had a truly lovely time in London. Ashley's apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable, and a short walk through a lovely neighborhood to the tube station. The local pub had GREAT food and atmosphere! Highlights were the Fat Tire Bike Tour and seeing Oliver! the Musical and attending a church service at Westminster Abbey. We really appreciated the extra effort that Ashley took to make our stay in London perfect and we recommend the apartment to other travelers.

  • We had a great time staying at this apartment. It is in a really lovely part of London - an easy tube ride from central London, but quiet with lots of tree-lined streets. The flat itself is spacious, pleasantly simple and clean. (We were a group of 6 and never felt in the least cramped.)We were very excited to have free WiFi! and found Ashley's notes on shopping and whatnot in the neighborhood super helpful.

After long days of sightseeing, it was a pleasure to return to Tufnell Park and to wake up the next morning in a neighborhood so utterly peaceful. The flat is spotless, cheerful and stylish without being formal. Best of all, our two teenage boys had their own rooms. The owner was truly accommodating. Ask him for advice on what to do off the beaten path; he has many wonderful suggestions
