We are able to be at our condo frequently to check on things. We take great pride in it, especially it's cleanliness. It is very much our home away from home. Your every need will be met when you stay with us. Details make the difference!
You will enjoy the Lighthouse in general. One of the newest condos in Gulf Shores it has many amenities that you will love. Twin pools outdoors make the decision very difficult each day - "do we go to the beach or stay at the pools?". The kids will love the zero entry pool that is just inches deep at the shallow end and a foot or two at the "deep" end. The fountains that shoot high into the air just fascinate the little ones. Then there is the deep pool for serious swimming. There are two heated hot tubs, one at either end of the twin pools. On top of all that there is the indoor, heated pool for days that are a bit chilly or rainy. You won't miss a day of swimming no matter what the weather.
There is an indoor fitness center and spa for your health and pleasure.
There are three levels of parking for your convenience. Two are under cover to protect you from the elements. All are convenient to the four elevators on site.
From our custom draperies and cornices, to the quality of our mattresses. From our custom built bunk beds, to the quality of our furnishings. Most of our floors are tile. Only our two bedrooms have carpet. We put tile on the wall at the kitchen dining bar to avoid the ugly marks made when shoes mar the wall there. The ceilings are high and the rooms spacious. There are ceiling fans in every room. I'll give you a quick tour of our condo and hope you will like what you read and what you see in our photos.
From the minute you walk into the front door you are drawn to the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico straight in front of you. With floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors you walk there immediately to look out. When you are standing there you notice the size of the balcony. This is no little balcony. It stretches the full width of the condo and extends in front of the master bedroom as well as the living room. There is a table and chairs there for dining as the sun rises or sets. Take your pick - coffee or cocktails! Both views are spectacular! Penthouse views without the penthouse price!!
You will walk past the bunk room as you enter, and you'll notice that it has a door! This is especially nice when you get the kids to bed early. You can close the door, tell them good night and go sit on the balcony or in the living room and enjoy the evening without bothering them. They have their privacy and you have yours!
The foyer is a generous size with room for a table where you can place your keys and your purse when you come in. There is plenty of room for the rolling cart you will bring up from the lobby as you move in and out or bring in groceries and supplies.
The laundry room is just beyond the bunk room on your right. It is huge with full size washer and dryer. It offers plenty of space to store those beach toys, rafts, and other large items. There is an ironing board and iron for your convenience.
The kitchen is next on your right. In it you find granite counter tops and ALL of the things you need and want in a kitchen. We hand picked our dishes, cookware, glasses and utensils. Everything is top quality, coordinated and beautiful. There is a pantry in addition to cabinet space. The refrigerator has an ice maker. We supply many small appliances such as blender, toaster, mixer etc.
There is a dining table that seats four and three more bar stools for casual dining.
The colors should be pointed out also. The decor is beachy without being too "cute". The primary colors will make you smile every time you walk in - sunny yellow, bright red and royal blue.
The living area is generous, with a queen sofa bed and comfortable chairs. There are lamps for snuggling into your chair to read. There is a VCR-DVD on the flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure. Each bedroom also has a flat screen TV with DVD player.
The master bedroom is luxurious with it's king-size bed, custom bedding and matching draperies. It connects via a dressing room to the large master bath with a jacuzzi tub and seperate shower stall. The dressing room has double sinks and plenty of drawer and counter space. There is also a huge walk in closet.
The guest room has a queen bed and again custom bedding with matching draperies. The guest bath opens to the guest room and also the hallway. There is a tub/shower combination with a colorful shower curtain that again is custom made.
The Lighthouse is on the property where the old Lighthouse Motel once stood. Many of you will remember seeing this in years gone by. It's literaly a few steps away from The Sea and Suds; a traditional seafood restaurant where you wait or dine "over the beach". You and the kids will want to see the all-new Hangout. This is another memory from the past that has been brought back. Oh what fun!! Go north on Highway 59 you will find Lulu’s, owned by Jimmy Buffett’s sister, Lucy Buffett. Jimmy himself shows up from time to time.
We are also located just a few miles away from Supermarkets, the Wharf shopping center, movies, Wal-Mart and Target.

THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR WE SPENT CHRISTMAS AT THIS BEAUTIFUL CONDO. IT WAS ANOTHER WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. THE CONDO IS PERFECT AND THE OWNERS ARE TERRIFIC. I WOULD CERTAINLY STAY HERE AGAIN AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

We had a fabulous vacation when we stayed in this condo. It is everything the website says - and more. The pictures do not show how simply wonderful this unit really is. Everyone slept great because the beds are very comfortable. We do a lot of cooking on vacation and really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was. It is clean, clean clean!!! Our grandkids had so much fun in the pools (indoor and outdoor) and this stretch of beach is perfect. The grandkids keep asking how soon we can go back. We have stayed in The Gulf Shores and Destin areas for over 20 years. This is the condo we will go back to. It is the best!! We can't wait!!!

We were fortunate to get this condo for a long week-end during the shrimp festival. What fun! We had wonderful weather. This condo was so close to the festival we just walked down on the beach. The Hangout is a happening place, one of our grandkids favorites. The condo was everything the internet description protrayed it to be. Clean, comfortable with balconies overlooking the beach. Donna was a gracious hostess, checking on us when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We took morning walks on the beach, enjoyed the sunrise from the deck with our morning coffee and listened to the ocean waves in the evening. We were also fortunate to see the dolphin play each morning we were there. What a cute cozy idea with the bunk room. Our grandkids would love this tucked away little room. We had previously stayed on the beach in a hotel room, but this condo was so much more comfortable and very roomy. We will definitely stay again next year and bring our grandkids.

We had a WONDERFUL time. Everything was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were wonderful, and the location was great. Everything was just as depicted on the website. Randy and Donna were very easy to work with. They were awesome and checked on us to make sure we got in ok and the condo looked good. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We will definitely go back.

We have stayed in many condos in Gulf Shores. This condo is wonderful. Very clean, comfortable, cheerful decor and has everything you could want. They even have beach chairs, sand toys and beach towels for their guests to use, we have never had these things in other condos. This is the first time we took the Grandkids and they had a ball, swam for hours and hours each day. They really enjoyed their ferry trip over to Dalphine Island and up to Mobil to see the ships. In their words "it was awesome!!" We also spent two full days in Perdido Key at the National Islands Park, known as Johnson beach. It is alot less crowded and "wilder," we had a great time. The owners are so nice and helpful, they seem to really care about their guests. They have great mattresses, towels and a well stocked kitchen. The only people I advise not to stay are parents who have children between 2 and 9, or ones big enough to open the sliding glass doors. Our 4 year old grand -daughter could open the doors and also had no fear of falling so we had to worry about that. Other than that I would recommend this condo to everyone who wants to have a great vacation. Thanks Randy and Donna

We appreciate all the nice comments about what you enjoyed while staying at our condo. With regards to the concern about children on the balcony, this would be something every parent and grandparent would want to reinforce with with their children along with pool safety and swimming in the gulf safety. We do have locks on both of our sliding glass doors and also a very sturdy fence type railings on the balcony. We would hope that parents and grandparents would not leave children unattended on the balcony of any condo. We however want to make our condo as inviting and safe for everyone who stays with us, so we are investigating putting child proof locks on the top portion of our sliding doors for added safety. We thank you for sharing your concern, so we can make our condo even a safer place for children.

Very clean, very comfortable, everything you need in a kitchen too!! My husband and 17 and 13 year old had a wonderful stay here. We all had our own space with each child having their own room with TV. Wifi was wonderful for checking emails. A beautiful view of dolphins from the balcony. It was truly a home away from home!! Thank you for sharing your beach home with us, we hope to return soon!!

This condo was very accurate in it's description and photos- very clean and cute! The location, building amenities such as indoor pool , nearness of parking and elevators, and the owner's helpfulness made this the perfect choice for a condo on the beach. Spectacular condo. When I entered the condo for the first time I was struct by how much attention was paid by the owners to detail, decor and the furnishings were beyond my expectations. The living room furnishings were both attractive and very comfortable; so relaxing. I must compliment the owners on providing excellent bedding. Ample towels, linens and even a few extras. When they say a full kitchen they mean it!! There is something special about this condo; on one hand the interior decorating is elegant, but yet very welcoming and immediately I felt at "home" which for me is what I was looking for in a vacation. It is very spacious and the kitchen is great. The view off the balcony was enjoyed throughout our time there. We had wonderful dinners, lots of relaxation, space for quiet time and reading and watched a few cartoons and news programs. The facility is spectacular. We spent time in the workout room, sauna and of course both the ocean and the pools. We will be returning and look forward to spending time in this most special condo. I encourage everyone to support the merchants in the Gulf.
