Remodeled in December 2011, our mountain home located at Cascade Village, 1 mile north of the ski resort Durango Mountain Resort formerly known as Purgatory, sleeps up to 10 people.

We live in Kingwood, TX where we own an oilfield supply company. We had been coming up to Durango, CO for many years before we bought our place in 2005. Before we bought our condo, we knew we had found our second home town and began looking for many years. The skiing is great at Durango Mountain Resort, the summer's in Durango are perfect and the fall colors are magnificent. Our family loves to celebrate New Years here, zip lining in summer, and hiking. So much to too, never enough time to get up here. We hope you and your family choose our place.

My husband and I went to this fab condo along with a few friends to celebrate my 50th b-day and ski a few days. We had a great time, really enjoyed the condo and the proximity to the Ski Resort. We also took a little drive over to Silverton and Ouray... very easy drive and well worth the trip! Loved the condo, had a great birthday and would look for this condo to be available again!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our family has been coming to the Durango area for several years now and Cascade Village never fails to deliver in the awesome scenery, the lodging accommodations, and friendly atmosphere. Location is perfect, close to DMR & Durango, but unique quality of being removed from the crowded hustle at the resort. Cascade is approx. 1 mile north of the resort. You can access resort during ski season using the shuttle or driving rather easily. The main lodge has a restaurant for breakfast and dinner. A rental shop on property offers top of the line skis and snowboards. There’s also complimentary shuttle service to the ski resort. In the summer you can enjoy an indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub in the main lodge area. Towels are available so you don’t have to bring one from the condo. The surrounding views of the Needle Mountains (especially Engineer Mtn.) from the condos are incredible and we’ve never had a bad experience while staying at Cascade Village. The staff of the complex have always been friendly and courteous and assisted us in any way with our requests. If you like to avoid the crowds and want a peaceful stay, this is the place! If you want the crowds and nightlife, then truck on down to Durango Mountain Ski Resort. It’s perfect for families wishing to experience the peace and serenity that the mountains have to offer. The condo stay itself was very nice and has all the latest amenities available for a family. There’s covered parking that accesses the condo directly which is nice to avoid the elements in winter. There’s plenty of room inside the stairwell leading from the garage to inside the condo for jackets, ski gear, boots, etc.. The den, dining area, and kitchen are downstairs along with 1 bedroom and 1 full bath, along with a washer/dryer next to the downstairs bathroom. You can enjoy watching a movie on the flat screen tv and enjoy a roaring fire by the fireplace. Plenty of wood is located in front of the parking spot in the garage area, so you can have lots of fires. A balcony is outside & you can enjoy the view & watch humming birds buzz by in the summer. Other bedrooms are upstairs & include the master suite/bathroom and a second bedroom and bathroom. Several obvious upgrades to the condo have been completed for the bathrooms giving it a nice appeal. Plenty of closet space and chest of drawers for clothes, etc.. We would recommend this condo to all our friends.
