Location: Grass Valley, Gold Country & High Sierra, California, USA
Accommodations: House, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 4)
Built in 1888, our cozy Victorian has been completely updated and is just around the corner from historic downtown Grass Valley. The spacious living/dining/kitchen area is perfect for entertaining, is fully equipped and furnished with warm oak furniture. The two small bedrooms are comfortable, beds and linens are of excellent quality. The king bedroom has its own half-bath and a sliding glass door leading to a lovely deck and a brick patio which is surrounded by camellias and azaleas. The neighborhood is quiet and you can enjoy the sounds of birds and our gurgling water fountain in the back yard or choose to relax on the front porch after your day of exploring and shopping.
Grass Valley offers a wide variety of events throughout the year and you can always take advantage of nearby gold mines (California's largest gold mine is 10 minutes away), bike riding trails, museums, galleries, theaters, wine tasting, fishing, local entertainment, and the neighboring gold-rush towns of Nevada City and Downieville.
WiFi is available around the corner at the Holbrook Hotel and nearby at the Flour Garden bakery/cafe.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2007
My husband and I are both retired and we bought this house after having visited Grass Valley a number of times to explore the area, fish in the many nearby lakes, and relax in the warmth of a small community. We have found that we are not able to take advantage of the house as often as we had planned and are now happy to offer it for short-term rentals.
Why the Owner Chose Grass Valley
Grass Valley is known for its "quality of life" and we can see why. Everyone you meet is friendly and welcoming, the community is actively involved in social and environmental issues, and the foothill setting is beautiful. The choice of activities within an hour's drive is endless and a day spent at home in the Little Victorian is priceless.
