Welcome to Choestoea Cove ! We hope you create treasured memories and have more family fun than you thought possible. Upon entering the driveway, pausing a few seconds to soak in the view is well worth it. As you look down the 200 ft long drive your eyes are drawn across the acre of lush green grass over the rooftop and to the emerald green water of Lake Hartwell’s most secret and possibly glassiest cove. :-)
Drive on past the front porch with two swings around to the back of the house overlooking the other acre of green grass down to the dock, as the lake calls!! Unload the volley ball, crocket set, lake toys, gas cans, etc. for a short walk to the waters edge (take off your shoes) and feel the lush green grass between your toes.
Enter the house from the lakeside via the 18 x18 foot deck and thru the 22 x 22 screen porch. Stop to take in the view (this might be the main reason you came). Here all ages can sit and watch the activity in the yard, on the dock, at the lake!! Choose the open air of the deck or the shade of the screen porch. This is indeed a beautiful scene as you look beneath the shade of the 100 year old walnut trees across the grass to the water’s edge. You might hear the screams of fun and laughter and see the water spray as the boat puts the tube on a whip entering the cove.
Carry the food in thru the large French doors thru the great room and into the expansive remodeled kitchen with stained cabinets, all new appliances and inviting island. At the island your ten closets family and friends can elbow up, talk, laugh, cook, eat, and reminisce about last years vacation and how much fun it will be this year at Choestoea Cove. Just off the kitchen are a full bath and the master bedroom with a fabulous view the lake. On the other wing of the home across the great-room are two very large bedrooms and a bath. The Lakeview bedroom with two queen beds will be first choice for most. Second bedroom on that side has in-room vanity and sink.
Relax and enjoy the privacy of almost two acres of playground as other homes are barely in view or earshot thru the trees. Enjoy a mile walk or short ride to the recreation center with very large pool, playground, tennis, restaurant and lounge.
Morning or evening walks thru the neighborhood give you picturesque elevated view view of the lake and cove. Less than one mile away is Choestoea boat launch & park.
Unload, relax and stay a week, maybe two. You won’t want to leave. You will be glad, very glad you came. We will too!

Year Purchased: 2005
We enjoy the home & property with many family, friends and business associates. They travel from across the US to make memories at Choestoea Cove. All enjoy boating, water sports, fun in the yard for all ages. We especially enjoy early morning or evening walks under the canopy of 100 year old trees. Pizza from our local general store is very popular with the kids. It is rare but special time spent rocking on the porch swings is a favorite. Some of our favorite nights are spent sleeping on the screen porch listening to lullabies from the crickets and frogs. R & M Jones
Why the Owner Chose Westminster
We chose this location as it is 35 minutes from Greenville, SC 90 minutes from Atlanta, 2.2 hours or less from Atlanta Airport, Columbia, SC Airport, not much further from Charlotte, NC Airport & 45 min from Greenville Spartanburg Airport. Even more so due to the 2 acres of private property with full drive around parking.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Private, no direct neighbors. Sub division has recreation with pool, tennis, restaurant etc, and close to parks and the Smokey Mountains. Ski in and out our our cove. 13 Waterfalls with 1 hour. Enjoy a drive to the Smokey Mountains up South Carolina Scenic Hwy 11. ACC Football at Clemson University less than 30 minutes by land and just over an hour by boat. 3 golf courses within 20 minutes.
