We are located near the Pocono exit of the PA Turnpike, right off Route 80 (outside the town of White Haven), so you can quickly and easily get to the slopes at Jack Frost/Big Boulder for your skiing, snowboarding, or snow tubing. There is also an indoor water park (H2000) at Split Rock, which is right before Big Boulder, too.
Completely refinished 2 bedroom/1 bath with a large deck overlooking a full size inground pool and the lake! No properties between you and the lake! You have complete privacy when you are on the deck, too---this house is situated so no one can see you enjoying your morning coffee, romantic dinner, or evening cocktails! A truly rare find! The pool is an added bonus, but the home, view and lake use make this a year round vacation spot. Pedal boat and lifejackets are supplied. Skiing, water park, horseback riding, Jim Thorpe, outlet shopping and the Mohegan Sun Casino are all within a half hour (or less) drive. Great special occasion restaurant (or just for a nice lunch or dinner) less than 5 minutes away. Click the link on this site for the Powerhouse restaurant. The main floor of this house was completely redone in late spring of 2009. Everything is brand new! Entirely new kitchen cabinetry, countertops, hardwood floor and all new appliances. Gorgeous bedroom furniture with plush mattresses, comforters and pillows. Large HD TV has cable with HBO. (There is also smaller TV/DVD combo in the main bedroom.) There are loungers and other chairs around the pool for sunning, in addition to outdoor furniture and a top of the line stainless steel grill on the very roomy deck. The pool is in full sun all day, so the water stays warm in the summer. There's a fire pit near the dock where you can have a little campfire (very few Poconos communities even allow fires anymore). Only 2 steps to get into the house, so it is easily accessible for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. There is an attached garage (unfinished but cleaned out) that you can use to store your bikes or other gear. Don't pass up this steal! Check out our other properties to see how we maintain and decorate our houses--this one is the first we got to do from scratch, so we went more upscale. We even redid things you won't notice--new roof, new plumbing, new wiring and heating. It is perfect for a romantic weekend, girls' getaway, or just a quick vacation for singles or couples with pets (We have found pet owners to be very responsible, and pets love all the roaming room out back).
This is the only Poconos rental house we even know of with a private inground pool! The pool will be open (and the water warm--it is in full sun all day) Memorial Day through the end of September. A small deposit will hold your summer 2010 reservation, so please plan ahead.
Now the rules---we do not rent to young groups (proms, etc.). There is a $300 security deposit and an optional $75 cleaning fee. If you leave the house as clean as you received it, there is no cleaning charge. And this house was designed to be easy to clean and keep clean!
Lake Agmar is a 22 acre spring fed lake within 6 miles of the PA Turnpike Pocono exit---very easy to get to, and convenient to the town of White Haven for supplies, restaurants, etc. The lake is near the intersection of Route 940 and Lakeside Road (zip code is 18661) if you would like to map the area.
