Now until Memorial Day weekend--take either a 3 night weekend or 4 nights midweek for only $300---or have a full week for $450! This is a bargain for this house--- look at our summer price for comparison!
We are currently adding (Spring 2012) a large master bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom. The bedroom will have a large (78" x 60") window overlooking the lake, so you can really enjoy the view!
Staring in March, we will be able to sleep 6 adults and 2 children (or any other combination of 8 EXCEPT for 8 adults---the house is a little too small for that many adults)---but our spring prices are so low it's still a steal for a couple or small group.
Now for summer renters---this is the only lakefront rental with a private inground pool that we know of. Believe it or not--check the calendar and pick your summer dates soon (we can work with you to move them around if you need to change them, but this house does rent very far in advance---we will hold dates with a small deposit).
The large deck overlooks the pool and the lake, and is the perfect place for morning coffee, a romantic nightcap, or any outdoor meal. This is a modern home with an upgraded kitchen with quality cookware, brand new furniture including an 55" LED TV with upgraded cable and a collection of recent DVDs. One of the bedrooms also has a 37" flat screen TV. We have broadband internet (so don't forget your laptop) and a large Mitsubishi in wall A/C unit that does the whole floor. There are plenty of restaurants, pizza places and food stores nearby, too.
We are near the Lehigh Gorge Trail and Hickory Run State Park for hiking or biking. You can spend a day exploring lovely Jim Thorpe (Switzerland of Pennsylvania), and save money by cooking at the house, either in the new kitchen or using the grill on our full deck overlooking the lake. But if you want to go out to eat, there are plenty of restaurants in the area, ranging from hamburger hangouts to special occasion dining. You can use the dock and boats (pedal boat and flat bottomed canoe) to fish or just hang out on the lake. There is also a firepit near the dock for your use.
In addition to the pool, you also have use of the dock and lake, making this a year round vacation spot. Pedal boat, canoe and lifejackets are supplied. Skiing, water park, horseback riding, outlet shopping and the Mohegan Sun Casino are all within a half hour (or less) drive. There is even an indoor water park (H2000) at Split Rock, which is about 10 miles away. Great special occasion restaurant (or just for a nice lunch or dinner) less than 5 minutes away. We are located near the Pocono exit of the PA Turnpike, right off Route 80 just outside the town of White Haven.
The main floor of this house was completely redone only 2 years ago. Everything is brand new! Entirely new kitchen cabinetry, countertops, hardwood floor and all new appliances. Gorgeous bedroom furniture with plush mattresses, comforters and pillows. There are loungers and other chairs around the pool for sunning, in addition to outdoor furniture and a top of the line stainless steel grill on the very roomy deck. There's a fire pit near the dock where you can have a campfire (very few Poconos communities even allow fires anymore). Only 2 steps out front to get into the house, so it is easily accessible for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. The new master bedroom (16'x12') has a large bathroom with a full size washer and dryer. There is a driveway that holds 2 cars and an additional space for one car in front of the house on the street.
This house is perfect for a romantic weekend, girls' getaway, or just a quick vacation for singles or couples with pets (We have found pet owners to be very responsible, and pets love all the roaming room out back). But since this is a smaller house, we allow only 2 medium sized dogs at most.
Now the rules---we do not rent to young groups (proms, etc.). There is a $300 security deposit and an optional $75 cleaning fee. If you leave the house as clean as you received it, there is no cleaning charge. And this house was designed to be easy to clean and keep clean!
Lake Agmar is a 22 acre spring fed lake within 6 miles of the PA Turnpike Pocono exit---very easy to get to, and convenient to the town of White Haven for supplies, restaurants, etc. The lake is near the intersection of Route 940 and Lakeside Road (zip code is 18661) if you would like to map the area.

We had the best time at this property. It is VERY quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed gorgeous sun rises over the lake every morning from the deck. We saw wildlife in the yard like deer and rabbits. The pool is pristine and even has a diving board--nice fenced in patio with comfortable loungers. We used the row boat every day for fishing and pedaled around in the pedal boat. Bon fires at the dock every night for relaxing and making s'mores. Our dog had a great time too, relaxing in the huge yard and going out on the boats with us. The house is newly redone , very comfortable and well appointed. We had absolutely everything we needed. We had the best nights' sleep with the plush beds and pillows. Huge closets in the bedrooms for great storage. Large TV with extensive cable channels. We didn't feel the need to leave the property much for outside entertainment since there was so much to do right there. Food stores, restaurants and gas stations are 5 minutes away in town. This is the perfect spot for total relaxation, family bonding, and outdoor fun. We definitely plan to return for another vacation at this location.
