We have just returned to Texas from a 2-week stay in this delightful home. The pictures and descriptions don't do it justice. We were thrilled when we walked in...it was immaculate. The living area is large and beautifully decorated. There is also some wonderful artwork throughout the home. The bedrooms are very nice, with comfortable beds and tasteful linens and bedding. The kitchen is well-equipped and has Viking appliances. As our family and friends love to cook, it was the perfect place to gather. We did think the home was new, only to find out that it was over 30 years old! What a great remodel! The deck with it's fabulous views was another gathering place. Of course, we also enjoyed walking down the long dock to the raft where we dangled our feet in the cold water. Some in our party were daring and took out the canoe for a paddle! The house is located at almost the end of a dead-end road which makes for peace and quiet. It's also close to the areas around Camden, sailing in Rockport etc. There are so many things to do in the area that should you decide to leave the comfort of the home, you'll not be disappointed. There's even a good little grocery in Tennants Harbor about a mile from the house (DON'T MISS BUYING THE LOBSTER CLAWS ICE CREAM) and a Lobster pound at the end of the dock at Clyde's Point. Be sure to see the lighthouse there. Communicating with the owner, Nickolas, was easy. I also need to mention the caretakers, Michelle and Mike. They were so helpful and informative. It was also a real plus that Mike just happens to be a lobster man who will deliver them right to the house or leave them in the water by the dock. Those are the very best lobstahs I've ever eaten...no butter or lemon needed!! As you can tell, we obviously loved the house and will certainly be back! Should you rent it, you will not be disappointed. It's the ideal place in which to become a "Mainiac".
