We stayed here for our wedding weekend as a quiet getaway from the rest of the wedding guests. While we did not spend much time in the cottage itself due to the wedding events, we enjoyed its adorable layout and rustic design touches. Laying in your bed at night you can hear the river running just outside the door. If I were to come back again I know I'd want to take the time to have a morning cup of tea on the stoop and enjoy the nature the surrounds the cottage. This would be the perfect cozy place to use as a base for leaf peeping season.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My family had a lovely stay over a recent holiday weekend. The cottage is charming and ideally located. A good jumping-off point to Litchfield and the Lake. We only had to drive an hour (from home) to reach the cottage but we felt a world away. Although it was hot hot hot for a few days, the cottage stayed cool enough with a ceiling fan, and the owner provided another. I recommend this cottage to a couple or even a small family. (We were four people.)Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
