Year Purchased: 2006

I am a family physician living in Santa Monica, CA. I bought this home as a second home to escape the hectic city life of Los Angeles and relax in an area I am originally from.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Ozark

I am originally from Southern Illinois and came down to the Lake as a child. I aquired the home so that my parents, 4 brothers, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and I all have a place to gather and spend time together as a family. The house is designed to suit everyone's needs. I use the library to study different medical texts. My father is a great chef and loves to cook and use the outdoor BBQ. My mother is a talented gardner and maintains the grounds. My brothers love taking out the waverunners to local restaurants and bars in the area. The children's room is complete with books, games, lego projects, Thomas the Train and more. There are flat panel tvs in almost every room so everyone can watch their own selection or we can watch together in the entertainment room as a family.

The Unique Benefits of this House

This home is made up of 3 levels which accommodates our extended family of 12 including my parents, brothers and their wives and my 4 nieces and nephews. There are 4 main bedrooms, three with a king size bed, one with a queen size bed and a kids bedroom with 4 twin beds. You enter the home from the top level and work your way down through the library on the middle level and finally the lower level entertainment room. The private dock is accessed from the lower level balcony by walkway. Each level has an outdoor balcony for access to beautiful lake views. Every room in the house has a view of the lake. We love getting on the wave runners and going to some of the local lunch and breakfast restaurants. Every kind of food is available: from a beach style peel and eat shrimp to a crab leg bar. My home is 5 minutes waverunner ride/boat ride to The Horny Toad, 20 minute drive by car, and everything in between. So easy to maneuver and park. Hop on and go.
