Located in the Mountain base area off of Mt Werner road, this beautiful home is only ½ mile from the base of the Ski Resort, which only takes 2 minutes when driving by car. You can also walk 3 blocks to a shuttle area that can drop you off at the slopes as well!
Upon entering our home you will marvel at the attention to detail in everything from the distressed wide-plank walnut wood flooring, to the hand textured walls and warm hues from the custom designed rooms. After you remove your shoes in the slate entryway and hang your coats on the antique ski-coat rack, you enter the first of 2 living rooms where you will spend your evening discussing the day’s adventures in front of the massive rock fireplace.
The upper living room includes brand new furniture with seating for 6, entertainment center (tv/dvd) and large bay windows with unobstructed views of the Ski Mountain and gondola, south valley mountains all the way to Stagecoach and west to Emerald Mountain. While in the living room, your attention will immediately be grabbed by the massive kitchen island with its copper top bar and seating for 5 in hand hewn wooden bar stools, slab granite counters and ceiling mounted custom range hood. The island also includes an 8 burner gas wolf stove, which is the ultimate appliance in every gourmet kitchen.
Every appliance in this immaculate kitchen includes the most up to date, top of the line technology that will serve as your instruments in fulfilling your passion for cooking! The sub-zero refrigerator blends seamlessly into the overall room design by matching the cabinetry of the kitchen. The advantium microwave includes new speed cook technology that cooks food with light. This allows you to cook your food in the fraction of time it takes in a conventional oven with oven quality results. The Dacor convection oven allows heat to be distributed evenly from the top rack down to the bottom (that is 6 full racks of cookies, one oven, all cooked perfectly golden brown). When you are finished with your magnificent meal, cleaning up will be easy with the use of 2 separate dishwashers.
After preparing your 4 course meal in the wonderful kitchen, what better place to serve it then on the massive dining room table with seating for 8, two chandeliers, and room for all the fixings. There are also 2 standalone beverage centers/wine chillers that provide the extra room needed for your finest wine/beverages to complement your gourmet meal.
When dinner is complete, your group is free to watch a movie or catch the big game on the flat screen TV in the lower living room with 2 leather couches and chair and ottoman, along with a mini bar with fridge and sink. You are also free to finish that favorite novel or plan the next day’s adventures in front of the fireplace upstairs. If you do need check in at work during your stay, there is also a private office where you can make your employer “think” you are still working hard by making a few calls or answering a few emails.
When you decide to retire for the evening and rest your muscles from a day on the slopes or a hike in the mountains, the master bedroom includes all the comforts you need for a peaceful nights sleep. There is a separate sitting area with large flat screen TV and leather sitting chair where you can catch up on the evening news before laying down in the King bed with leather ascent pillows and western-themed bed bench. The private bathroom includes his and her sinks with slab granite counters, travertine floors, stand alone jetted tub and separate shower enclosed with 6 ft solid glass doors. There is also a massive walk-in closet with plenty of space for your entire wardrobe.
The remaining three bedrooms include a King bed in guest room #2, queen in guest bedroom#3 and 2 double beds in guest room #4. All bedrooms include plenty of closet space as well. There are 3 full bathrooms (2 with double sinks) and 1 half-bath located throughout the home as well. You can also forget about scraping the snow and ice off your windshield by parking your vehicle(s) in our heated 3 car garage where there is plenty of room to store your skis and snowboards in the winter or bikes and golf clubs in the Summer months.
When you leave the Yampa valley, our goal is to have you dreaming about the days spent discovering our beautiful mountains and valleys and telling everyone back home how incredible your stay was in our wonderful mountain home!
