You will be amazed at how this conveniently located property feels so peaceful and remote. You can enjoy it with your family, as a romantic hideaway or well earned retreat. It is only 20 minutes from San Francisco, 1 mile from downtown Mill Valley, 30 minutes to the Beach or Muir Woods. An excursion to the wine country is just 45 minutes away.
The home offers 3 lovely guest rooms that are included in the basic rental rate. The master has wonderful views of Mount Tam, a private fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. The two other guest rooms also have great views and their own full bathrooms with bath tubs. All the rooms are spacious, bright and warm. The 3 guest rooms are all on the top floor with all day sun and maximum views, and are the primary rentals.
For larger groups an additional 4th equally lovely room can be made available for an extra charge. It is on the entry level with a separate entrance possibility, there is also available a detached small and sunny guest cottage for a small additional fee. (see rates below)
You will want to cook up a storm in the gorgeous kitchen. Counters are granite, cabinets maple and the views, spectacular. The kitchen is open, airy and enjoys all day sun. There is a formal dining room with a gorgeous custom chenille mahogany wood table, living room with sunken fireplace, and cozy family room with a wood burning stove.
The home is spacious with high ceilings, views in every direction hardwood floors and plush carpets in the family room and bedrooms. It is casually elegant with the outside incorporated within. Pictures simply cannot capture the lovely and peaceful ambiance experienced immediately when you enter the front door.
This sun-drenched home offers world class hiking and mountain biking right from the front porch. There are so many day trips and outside adventures available, but you will have a hard time leaving the sun and tranquility of the many decks and pool. Many a day I have gazed at the fog far off in the distance horizon reminding me that my sun drenched home is a magical enclave of warm sunny skies.
In keeping with the gorgeous setting, the home itself is "green". The cleaning products are all natural with no artificial fragrances, the soaps and detergent are fragrance free and the pool is solar heated and cleaned with a mineral system instead of chlorine.

- The home is unique in that it is surrounded by Redwoods yet has all day south facing sun. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful, with a private pool and wonderful views. Situated at the base of Mt. Tam, you can hike and then sun by the pool. Restaurants and shopping in Mill Valley are first class. Or, you can go on sightseeing adventures to Muir Woods, Stinson Beach or Napa. This is a fantastic vacation home or weekend get-a-way. (There is also a trampoline for the kids). Mill Valley offers several day camps for the kids so the entire family can enjoy a real summer vacation.
