Puerto Vallarta is strategically located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, on the Pacific ocean's beautiful Bay of Banderas. The landscape combines a mix of mountains, jungle, beach and one of the largest bays in the world, and many spectacular species of wildlife. For a beach resort, Puerto Vallarta is even more special because it has retained the local architecture and culture. There are so many sights from which to choose, whether it be the malecon, or promenade, lined with bronze art, sand art, art galleries, churches, restaurants and shops. The people are very friendly and helpful and the environment is very, very safe. The climate is outstanding. You can expect sunshine every day and only short interruptions of tropical rain showers during the months of July through October. The sunsets are absolutely incredible, setting the stage for an intimate dinner, followed by some outstanding nightlife choices.
The Grand Venetian resort is strategically situated in the hotel zone, just a 10 minute drive from the international airport, and about 10 minutes drive to the heart of downtown Puerto Vallarta. . Everything you need is within walking distance including multiple supermarkets, movie theaters with the latest films in English, casinos, many restaurants, Starbucks, Chili's,...walking distance to Sam's, Walmart..... Enjoy watching all of the beach and bay activities, winter and spring whales and dolphins, boats, cruise ships, fireworks, the glittering lights of the town, all from your spacious terrace with private jacuzzi. Local buses for the 10 minute ride to town are just 6 pesos (no more than 60 cents). Taxis are readily available and also inexpensive.
Tower 1000 at the Grand Venetian has the best views of town, the bay and coastline and the mountain backdrop. This high end property is private for owners and renters. Entrances are gated and security is 24/7. There are multiple pools, large, common jacuzzis and my condos all have small, private hot tubs on the terrace. Plus there are two large infinity pools next to the beach (in front of Tower 1000) with exquisite views of town, boating and beach activities. Each tower has underground parking and a beautiful lobby. There is an exercise center, business center, game room and theater room seating larger groups. Our condo, located on the 3rd floor of Tower 1000 is one of the largest two bedroom models, with over 2000 sq feet of luxury living. The condo is fully equipped with a full kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, blender etc) and laundry. There is a 42 inch flat screen TV, with Cable TV and wireless internet. There are 2 bedrooms each with ceiling fans, a rear terrace and private bathroom with walk in showers and walk in closets. One bedroom has a King bed and the other has two twins that can be put together to make a King bed. Linens and towels are provided. A large laundry/utility room with extra storage is also included in the wonderful design of this condo. The main living area is open and airy. The kitchen has been upgraded for an enlarged granite counter and extra cabinets and there are several other built-ins. The terrace (18 by 23 feet) is double the size of other 2 bedroom units and is the perfect place for sunbathing, al fresco dining, or to enjoy soaking in your own private outdoor Jacuzzi, watching the incredible views of the beach, the bay, the town and the mountains. Watch the pirate ship cross the bay each night, shoot off fireworks and return to the marina for a second round of fireworks, without ever leaving the Jacuzzi!
Puerto Vallarta has an active calendar of events all year long. There are numerous boat cruises during the day or night at great values. Many beaches along the Bay of Banderas can only be reached by water, and the boat cruises are a wonderful way of seeing more than one location in a single day trip. Fishing boats and private charters are easy to find. There are several different locations for flying through the jungle on zip lines, one of the newest and most fun activities. You can swim with the dolphins. From your Grand Venetian terrace, you can see dolphins and whales during the winter and early spring months. There are restaurants of every cuisine and price range, many with top chefs. Puerto Vallarta is one of the best places in the world to spend Christmas and/or New Years. And PV also hosts fireworks competitions, fishing competitions, volleyball tournaments. You can rent ATVs and take guided treks through the jungle. Play golf on some of the finest courses in Mexico. The water activities are plentiful. Jet ski, parasail, kayak, snorkel, scuba.... Downtown is full of great shopping, art galleries, entertainment along the Malecon, fireworks. And don't forget to visit the famous Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadelupe where locals still attend church services and there are weddings and festivals.

My first visit to Puerto Vallarta was in the early 90's, in the middle of August at a timeshare resort in the hotel zone. I fell in love with PV right away. I even like the heat and humidity that goes along with summer. It was ten years before I had the luxury of experiencing Puerto Vallarta in high season....and that really sealed the deal. A couple of years ago, I saw the Grand Venetian complex being built right in between the two timeshare resorts where I typically would stay. The hotel zone is my favorite location because that is where one can get the very best views of the town, the lights along the Malecon, as well as the mountains behind and the vast and beautiful Bay of Banderas. We had been thinking about buying our own condo for quite a few years and we were thrilled when we were finally able to do so. We are from the East coast of the United States....baby boomers who are on the cusp of retirement. We are fulfilling our dream by having a beautiful condo on the beach in Puerto Vallarta
Why the Owner Chose Hotel Zone
Each year when we would try to decide on our vacation destination, the decision usually was Puerto Vallarta because it is such an easy place to vacation. It is small enough to learn the streets in a short amount of time, but large enough to have lots of variety. A bus to Centro takes less than 15 minutes from the hotel zone. We tried timeshares in various locations from the South end of PV, to the hotel zone and up into Nuevo Vallarta. We typically would return to the hotel zone because of its convenient location to groceries, shopping, cinemas, banks and transportation. We can walk to the boat excursions and even walk to Centro or the romantic zone in about 40 minutes. When we saw the Grand Venetian complex being built in the heart of the hotel zone, we made the decision to purchase two condos there. We own a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo of about 2000 sq feet which we use exclusively for rental. We also purchased a 3 bedroom, 4 bath condo which we use as for ourselves and occasional rentals. Grand Venetian has location, location, location.....not to mention many amenities. The infinity pools are beautiful; most condos have private jacuzzis on the terrace; the rooms are spacious and very functional. But what really sold us was the incredible view of the town of PV from our condo. It is breathtaking 24 hours a day.....During the day, we enjoy looking at the town with the magnificent Sierra Madre mountain backdrop. We watch the boats cross the bay; the dolphins and even whales; birds sailing and diving for fish; parasailers and jet skiers enjoying an adventurous activity...and as the sun goes down and the lights of town go on.....the night view is nothing short of spectacular.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The Grand Venetian resort has spacious, manicured grounds and is located right on the beach. There is no crowds from the Malecon or people from Centro. There are multiple pools, all with views of the town, beach, mountains and the bay. All terraces have outstanding views and most terraces have private jacuzzis. We watch all of the bay life and at night we watch the fireworks from the Marigalante as well as other spots around the bay. The Grand Venetian has a spacious lobby; poolside lounges, tables, chairs and lounging beds. There is 24 hour security; underground parking; a movie room and game room and business center in each of the 3 towers. The gym is well stocked with the best of fitness equipment. We enjoy the privacy and exclusion of an upscale, high end property, but we are close to shopping, transportation and many entertainment venues. One can walk from the Grand Venetian all the way to Centro on the beach or along the main road. We are walking distance to no less than 5 supermarkets (including Sam's, Walmart and Costco). We can walk to two different cinemas and large shopping complexes. The boat marina for the large cruise ships and day cruises are also within walking distance.
Grand Venetian has the excellent balance of luxury and convenience.

Our stay here was great. The condo has everything we needed and Mary Anne was a great host. The location is great, we wwere able to walk to the Malecon or Marina and the view of the bay was very nice. We would definitely stay here again

You can not get better value for a vacation than going to PV. A very cost effective city and if you stay at this private condo, your value becomes even greater. What a perfect location. The condo overlooks the infinity pools, the beach and the beautiful bay. Unbelievable sunsets nightly! you are right in the Hotel Zone which is just a 15 minute taxi ride from the two important entertaining and dining areas. Downtown to the South and the Marina to the North. Stock you're full size kitchen with groceries from a great supermarket just 15 minute walk to the North. 5 minutes further up the road is Wal Mart and Sam's Club. Next to them is the Galleria shopping mall with movie theaters, a food court and a Casino. Walk to the South 15 minutes and you'll find a larger version of the same supermarket that has everything from clothing to appliances. There are other shops in this complex along with another movie theater. You just can't beat the convenient location the Grand Venetian has. This facility is modern, secure and sits on a beautiful beach. Take a walk everyday right from your door. This is a gated property with 24 hour security on the street side as well as on the beach. You have your own private beach area where the vendors won't bother you, but if you want to get some good deals, they are close at hand. Great swimming pools and hot tubs compliment your beautiful condo. The owner has furnished very nicely and all you need to bring is a swimming suit, shorts, tops, and a toothbrush. She has a washer and dryer in the unit so you can toss in a load whenever. I brought too many clothes because I took advantage of these appliances. I'll know better for next time. She has all the entertainment equipment you will need. She was easy to get a hold of initially and throughout the reservation process. She answered all questions and was there too meet you upon arrival. I can't say enough about the owner and more importantly this wonderful unit. I fell in love with PV. Went snorkeling and zip lining. So much to do. I recommend PV. I truly recommend this 1 bedroom unit in the Grand Venetian.

Great place!!!! That about sums it up. Mary Ann has an excellent condo in a fantastic complex. The condo has everything you need from a simple vacation to preparing gourmet meals. Great location in PV and convenient to everything. The view is something and the balcony is a great place to just kick back. The pools were great and the service - drinks and lunch - was excellent. As far as cleanliness, the condo was spotless upon arrival. Fresh linens and all towles laundered. Trying to think of a negative, and there just are none. Probably the most relaxing vacation I have had in over 10 years. I just hope Mary Ann will rent to me in the future

We spent two wonderful months in this great two bedroom condo. We walked in and it felt like home with a beautiful view of Puerto Vallarta off the large balcony. The owner, a great lady and friend now, was there to meet us, introduced us to the neighbours, and helped us with any questions that we had. It is in a perfect location - 5 min. walk to Starbucks, 10 min. bus ride to Old Town, 10 min. walk to a super market, 20 min. walk to Walmart, 25 min. walk to Costco, close to all the beach activities you need, and you can choose between four pools and the beach to sit around or swim in. You can bring your own food and/or drinks down to the pools or, if you feel like being pampered, just put up your hand and order from the restaurant located by the pools. We highly recommend this condo!

The Grand Venetian is beautiful and the condo is in a great location with incredible views of the town, the bay, mountains and the beautiful pool and landscaped grounds of Grand Venetian. The condo is immaculate and very well stocked. The furnishings are tastefully decorated. The owners were very easy to work with; they attended to my needs personally and were very helpful. The location of Grand Venetian is excellent with groceries, malls, banks and movie theaters all within walking distance. My vacation for 2 weeks in November 2009 was excellent. I will definitely return.

We stayed in this unit for three months in 2009. Everything about the unit was great - the view, the kitchen equipment and all the furnishings. The owner is very easy to work with and responds immediately to any problems or requests.
